So I actually took the time to look at the track, and geez, does it not occur to you the WCS gives LA for a reason? Stop firing ETs OUTSIDE of seeker range. Quit overriding the LA. Its not done in the real jet. Of course it flys straight ahead at launch. THE SEEKER SEES NOTHING. It turns towards the target when it DOES get in seeker range, and follows PN as it should. Stop spreading misinformation.
Yup, reactive defending is dead at decent alts now if the bandit takes the shot properly, you HAVE to pre-emptively defend. Though using avaliable tools to determine when he launched does help SA, and for better RMD
FWIW tax is a flanker pilot in DCS, so this isnt a case of "F Pilots" pepin. You need to be more descriptive, else as far as ED is concerned theres nothing to change.
Yep. If you look at blueflag its the same. 1.17 KD for JF, while F-16 is at 1.3, and F-18 is at 1.45. F-14 is at 2.2 (!). So yea in no way is the JF OP
Im 99% sure he is going for a specific time period with this server, not for balance, I know the guy and the server. The super was not in service in 1981/83 (forgot which the server was for exactly), but no this isnt for balance. Which is why the 14s have AIM-54s, but no ERs for the flankers.
No im not denying that it was upgraded in some way, but for all we know it could have just been a PN constant tweak, thats certainly an PN upgrade if its tuned better, and improves efficiency. My question is what do you want ED to do?
I thought i recall reading one source that listed the MiG-21 having a head on RCS of 10 m^2, which would reasonably allow the JF-17 to be at 3m^2 (which sounds reasonable) and still be less than the MiG-21
Afaik this "pure pursuit" is a psuedo-datalink that really shouldnt be there, but it is anyway. Its telling the missile, at launch, where to look for the target, but it doesnt take into account where its moving, just where the target was at launch.
