I believe it was on these boards. Am I wrong? Am I thinking of something else? Matt? GG? Someone confirm this please do I know I am not talking out my arse. I believe the new engine is one of the reasons they aren't 100% sure that DCS A10 and DCS Black Shark will Multiplay together. I hope someone comes in and clarifies this. -

DCS A-10 is supposed to have a new engine. I just hope that it doesn't mean that it can't connect with DCS Black Shark for Multiplay. -
I wouldn't sim without Track IR.

You must set the MLRS to delay to start. Use 23 hours as a delay so it doesn't show up until the trigger is tripped.

I have flown with the 1900 XTX ATI card and it performed well though it is dated. I now have the Nvidia 295 GTX and it rocks as it is at the top of the performance pile right now. The real key is getting a current day Vid Card and matching it up with the right drivers. For ATI, the right drivers right now are the 8-12 drivers. For Nvidia, I am running the 182.50 and they seem to perform very nicely. -
I presume they are not in english?

The AI you can command has to be in your flight in the mission builder. If they are not in your flight then you cannot give them commands.

Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have the essentials. Hardware and motivation. Good Luck.

Some 8 player COOP missions

Unzip them to the Multiplay folder in Black Shark and then go there when hosting and click on the .miz mission to play it. -
Well welcome aboard.

Tim don't take some of the comments too seriously. What is important was you told the truth, you let people know the truth in the few words allowed by your employer, and know that you have sold some copies of possibily the best Helo sim made to date. From a HARD CORE Simmer, I say thank you very much for efforts.

Ah now why did you have to go and do that Dave? Now I just wet myself thinking of what is going to be............ DAMN IT DAVE!
-
I would want what we are getting, the A-10 baby!
-
Guys as long as it catches the attention of customers and they buy it, who gives a darn. That isn't a site we would glean info off for a hard core sim so what does it matter. Let it sell sell sell.

:D :D :D now that was funny, I don't care who you are.

Downloaded them and will play them when LAN time comes around or after the patch comes out and we get back to flying again. -
Maybe you have gotten so good at BlackShark that the sim thinks you don't need them :D

Co-op is what Multiplay is all about IMNSHO :) -
Well no hard numbers but good to know what you told. Glad LOMAC is still selling too.
-
JimMack, can you say how many copies were distributed world wide or is that top secret stuff?
-
No it is just that I haven't delved into it yet. Just when I was going to learn it and ABRIS, I started mission building and never got back to it. I want to learn PVI 800 especially because of the Target Reference Points. That way I can draw a range card in my head with the TRP's and fight more efficiently and in my lane of responsibility. I'll get it down when I get to some serious flying but right now I am waiting for the patch to come out to do anything else besides fly around and stay proficient in flying and fighting the machine with what I already know.

Nis, the training is pretty decent but it does lack in some details where as it gives other details that we as simmers couldn't give a rats rear about. To get the TA, you slew your skhval using the key commands that you will find in options controllers, or using your HOTAS if you have the keys mapped. You then point the Helo at the target to get the TA and ultimately the "C" which clears you to fire. He is zoomining in and out using the Skhval zoom of 7x and 23x which you will find key commands for also in the key command list under options/controllers. He is using TrackIR 3 or 4 which is a must in flight simming so you don't have to use a hat switch on your HOTAS which is imprecise. The training is adequate for someone who has taken the time to read the manual and read and maybe even already mapped them to the the HOTAS. It does not help much if you have not educated yourself in those area's though. This is a study sim which means you have to study this bad puppy to get all out of it. Even since it's release there is still stuff I am stumped about: ABRIS, PVI 800, etc. But I have come proficient enough to fly the machine and barely sufficient to fight the machine. Gotta love the learning curve. If you don't have time to put into it, put it away because it will be a practice in frustration otherwise. In the meantime, ask questions and I and others will help you all we can but you will likely get referred back to the key command list and training a lot.
