I read in the 1.01 Patch thread that Matt has went thru the campaigns and changed everything to cold start. So if you can wait for the patch that will be solved.

Situation Normal, it always bugged the hell out of me when they would patch LOMAC and missions were FUBAR. But I am 95% sure ED has chimed in and said the patch will not effect missions and campaigns. Could Matt or GG or someone from ED confirm this please so we can get on with Mission/Campaign making? EDIT: I say that but on page 5, GGTharo's said "Trying their best, but I wouldn't promise it for any given mission." I am still positive someone said they had over come it. I am still looking. EDIT 2: That is all I could find in this thread. It must have been in another thread but I don't know which one. I hope I am not talking out my southside :)

I believe Matt or GGTharos or someone from ED confirmed that missions made in Version 1 will work with 1.01 patch. It was a load off my mind when they told me, believe me.

I will be upgrading to the GTX 295 and am wondering what the BEST drivers are for Vista Home Ultimate 64 bit. I have an ATI card as annotated below and the 8.12 drivers are the BEST ATI drivers with stability and performance. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

It is money well spent. I will get my $160 of entertainment (DL, DVD, Manual) in spades with tens, if not hundreds of hours of enjoyment and entertainment time consumption. That is how I judge the worth of my entertainment dollars and my choice of purchases. Hell I am even buying a new computer over the one I have below so I can play Black Shark and any other Flight Simulation coming down the pipe at playable FPS.

You are right that is tricky. You can play with the contrast on the Shkval to getting a lock on targets in dusk and night conditions. The wingman AI, I fear though, will never be up to human standard but some type of target intelligence to go after the Primary Targets, then/to include, SAMS/AAA, armor, APC's, trucks should be implemented.

It has to do with having options. I can redownload or I can just flop the DVD in. My choice of what dance I want to do. Not to mention it supports ED with another sale. I will always buy both, money willing.

I would like to know if we will see in the patch the off loading of some of the load on the CPU onloaded to the graphics card? May have been answered before but I haven't seen it so that is why I am asking.

I bought the DL version so I could play it now. I will buy the DVD version to support ED and also to have a back up sitting right there in my DVD case, in case of catastrophy on my HD.

I keep hearing about this bland world and I am just not sure what people expect. A warzone is a deadzone (I speak from real world experience here). Not much moves and that which does is a target. You won't find civilians running around willy nilly. You won't find massive convoys just running around unmolested, they are the soup du jour. A mission in Black Shark is only as live as the mission maker makes it. And if your world is bland then you should fly other missions by other mission makers. There are some really talented mission makers here that will keep you on your toes and make you fly in a live, shootin' back at cha, world. The first campaign has even been ported over to MP play with 7-8 missions ready to MP. I am working on getting the second campaign ported over also but can't find the enthusiasm to do it.

Ruined? The object of a sim is not for you to win everytime. Bad ass you are if you do for sure. Matt's mission simulates real life as much as you can simulate real life on a computer screen. You have to live with the reality that failure is an option that you are in control of and that should make winning that much sweeter.

Mad T, the post was about activating a FARP. I was just pointing out what can be activated or not, unless you mean activated as can actually do stuff there and not activated as a trigger makes it appear. If so then shut my mouth and call me Gomer. :)

From a thread started by another person so he really gets the credit, the ability to HIDE static objects until a trigger activates them just like regular units.

In short, anything you set on the map that is a Static Object cannot be activated. It is there from the start. There is no option to hide Static Object, though that would be a nice wish list thing. Anything that is a unit can be activated such as trucks, fuelers, command posts, etc.

Game? :(

There is really no order to play them in. Just have at them.

Thanks so much. I will try and get to the second campaign ASAP. Maybe today but not sure. I hope people enjoy these in MP as I don't know that I could produce such and in depth mission as Matt has laid out.

The 8-12 ATI Drivers seem to have the most success with little to no problems that I have seen for BlackShark. That is what I am using on Win XP Pro and I haven't had a problem one. Be interesting to know if you can launch the game using DCSMax by Skypat, though.

Are the units you are looking for Random units or 100% they should be there?
