I am going to step back from my defensive posture on this one. You asked a legit question, and I think that the question got lost in the translation. I see you are from Germany and your first language is probably not English then. My apologies as this appears to be a language to message board translation problem. Not your fault and I think we should all rethink our responses to Groove. Having said that, and having kept track of the 31 page bug thread, I can tell you from experience that there are many bugs and problems that have been present since 1.0, that I can confidently say were reported to ED by the beta testers and for whatever reasons, were not addressed. Are there issues that get thru the testers? Absolutely. It happens. You cannot catch everything.

The Beta Testers? They don't code, they find and report. Know about the process before you go pointing fingers.

Has Classifying taken a step backwards

You can't change the payload in the campaign now either. This was widely asked for when 1.02 came out and they did it. I don't remember anyone asking for it to be changed back so you can't change the payload. -

Willie Pete Smoke Color Change?
Dusty Rhodes replied to Dusty Rhodes's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Those are all AIM-9s or R-73 U. Nothing under that indicates the Willie Pete Marker Smoke. Plus it says not for end user editing and that scared me to change anything, :) LOL -
Flying with Griff the other night, I noticed that on some of the seasonal terrain, it is near impossible to see the Willie Pete smoke. Is there a way to change the color to make it more prominent? But more important, is that realistic? If it ain't, then I will not change it. If it is realistic to have different colors, then is there a way to change it? Thanks in advance.

FC 1.1 evaluations requested

Absolutely worth the money I paid for it, for entertainment. Still has some nagging problems, but for $35 it is well worth it. -
ED: Can I sell my Downloaded Version?
Dusty Rhodes replied to Dusty Rhodes's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thanks Schimmel, your OPINION is duly noted and given the appropriate attention. ED, can I get an official word on this, please? -
My only gripe with Lock on....
Dusty Rhodes replied to Conuk's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I guess for game sake some of this could be a bug, but IRL how often do you switch to an outside view? What matters is what is happening in the cockpit. The rest is fluff! -
ED: Can I sell my Downloaded Version?
Dusty Rhodes replied to Dusty Rhodes's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I appreciate everyones opinion on this and their views of the EULA. Much of it makes sense. My question for it not being legal has to do with eBay sales, taking your used game into EB or some other shop so as to trade them in, selling them on the message boards of our flight sim message boards, things like that seem to be OK. So what is the difference of me selling my downloaded copy to someone. This might be another issue with Starforce and the laws of certain lands. You have now made it impossible for me to sell the rights that I own, to the game. And if I can't sell those rights, why can I sell the CD copies on eBay, message boards, or trade them in at EB or Gamestop, yet because I downloaded, I can't with this sim. Bottom line, though, I would like to hear a definitive answer on ED's stance on this subject. -
ED: Can I sell my Downloaded Version?
Dusty Rhodes replied to Dusty Rhodes's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
It will be up to ED to tell me if I can or not Ragtag. As EULA's and such can be legaleze, I want to get a short and quick answer from ED as that will be a no doubt answer. I am sure it will help many many others also. -
I am getting the CD version from Natural Point as soon as it is available (Order already placed), so I want to sell my Downloaded version to someone who doesn't have it. Can I do this? I placed this on the open board as I understand that others might be contemplating the same thing and I want to make sure it is OK to do. I am in the USA. Thanks.

Mission Editor needs tweaked.
Dusty Rhodes replied to Rogue6g's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The reason that most people don't use anything else is because the units stop if they come to water, so it takes some really extra planning to not come to water. Plus the formations don't tranisition correctly so getting across water is really a problem. -
Been away for a week, but last I remember, there was something wrong with the Shilka's in my testing. Don't remember but I seem to think they have a shorter range then is published in the encyclopedia. Anything over 3-4 thousand feet and the Shilka doesn't engage, but the encyclopedia says it has a range of farther then that. I'll try to look at it, but this weekend is full up if someone else can look. AI now just flies over the top of it at the altitude it won't engage.

Bump. LMAO -
Lets try to keep it in perspective. Yeah it has been a bit bumpy but ED is trying a new business model. Mistakes will be made, things won't go zactly right. You learn from it and get better and get rid of those problems. ED is taking those steps to identify problems and iron them out. Those who are impatient want immediate action when the problem may be more complicated then they know. Time Zone placement and language are just a few barriers that impede the process, but those are problems in the process that need to be fixed, just like the Starforce issue, and the Paypal fiasco. Not all will agree with this statement I am about to make, for their own reasons, but to me it is ED's responsibility to iron out the problems in this business plan and fix them as they are presented. It is in our best interest/responsibility, as a hobby, to help them smooth it out by bringing up the problems in a helpful and productive manner. It will benefit us as a hobby and benefit ED to maximize their cash flow and bring us future products. From all information and indications I have seen, ED is holding up their end of the bargain (though some will not be satisfied how fast or how well things are handled for their own reasons), then it is our responsibility to hold up our end, as a hobby. If this isn't your hobby and you want to buy a product and have it be perfect and everything you want, then you won't agree that you have any responsibility, and maybe you don't. For us hobbyists, I believe we do have a stake in it.

That sounds superb..........written by someone who's first language is English. What you wrote is what they meant, and has been stated already. Remember, ED is in Russia, run by Russian speaking people and English is not their primary language. RAM will help with MP and game performance. Also make sure you have the 10308 port forwarded if you are behind a router. It helps. Make sure you connect to a server at the requested connect speed, but in any case at least 128/128 (if you have broadband. If you don't have broadband, having dial up is prolly your problem). Do you have problems hosting at all? This might sound stupid and forgive me if it does, but are you sure you are connecting to a 1.1 hosted mission? (not questioning your smarts, just trying to cover the bases). If I think of anything else, I will drop in, but that is all I can think of right now.

I doubt if we will know.
