Wow, getting really excited! My guess is that they hired a very well mannered Samuel Jackson, and it was perfect! :)

@Poacher If the latest flight sim you played with a dynamic campaign is Euro Fighter 2k, you might want to consider checking out Falcon Allied Force. It has a fabulous dynamic campaign and very detailed avionics and weapons systems. There is even a decent online community that has a 24/7 persistent dedicated server (multiviper.com). I'm quite sure ED knows there is a HUGE demand for a military flight sim that has a dynamic campaign, the problem is that it will take lots of patience for it to be developed and implemented. In the meantime, continue to play the games that have them and $upport the developers that plan to include it. :)

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
evilnate replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Oh I have another suggestion.. This is very minuscule as far as importance but would be pretty sweet to see in a flight sim. I would like to see AI aircraft marshalling! It would take a little animation work with the human AI, but I think it would be awesome. -
Cool! Very detailed airport objects. Understand it's WIP, and I hope the distant mountains are under construction too. I also agree with the blurry HDR as being an eye sore, but i'm sure it's also under construction. Take your time and keep on being masters of the universe!

IAF and USAF vs IRIAF, SAF, and TAF. Entire middle east.

I've heard that the LITENING pod (aka AN/AAQ-28) will be featured, woohoo! My wish is that the SNIPER XR pod will also be included.

Thanks for the advice gents! I will heed the concerns and warnings about nausea and consider 2 more 27" monitors.

I've played on my 42" 1080p lcd tv, but I just bought a house and I want to fulfill some childhood video game dreams! I considered making a electro-mechanical cockpit, but having something like that will ensure I remain a bachelor. So I will just go with a HUGE screen and customize a nice office chair for a cockpit. As for the darkness, I have yet to pick the blinds so I can ensure pitch black if needed.

Howdy, I am planning to purchase a projector for PC games (flight sims, arma + trackIR, etc). Can anyone offer advice?

Wishlist - Aircraft maintenance "minigame"
evilnate replied to sinelnic's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I think some of these suggestions would be good, as a option for procedural junkies and only after a dynamic campaign is ironed out. -
Wow, in the demonstration the A-10 pilots were making their tank strafing runs at damn near level flight. In FC2 I come down on the targets really steep to get more rounds on target. I'll have to practice the way they seemed to strafe. Thanks for sharing the video.

New info on DCS A-10C and on thrustmaster HOTAS!!
evilnate replied to kingneptune117's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I would like to know how the support software is, say compared to saitek's STT programming software. Can we load profiles as easily? Does it differentiate right/left ctrl/shift/alt keys? -
Sure is difficult suppressing ideas of ED not developing a DCS edition of this AC.
-
I too am shocked there isn't guided anti-ship capabilities anymore. This makes naval operations impotent to say the least. It would be nice if ED re-skinned and added a hook to a Su-25T to quickly make a Su-25UTG. Being offense-less to a NATO fleet is a crime to the Federation! ;)

Patch 1.2.1 for "LockOn: Flaming Cliffs 2"
evilnate replied to Ulrich's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I've got a question. I installed a couple skins and the trackIR mod that allows more travel. For some reason I can't find modman so I guess I will need to re-install FC2. How do I re-install FC2 without losing one of my activations? -
We'll i'm definatly not in the gaming industry, and i'm not even a programmer. So I will have to take your word that this is impossible with today's demand for this type of game. I just notice DCS slowly steering in this direction with the additions of player controlled FAC, walking around after ejection, and modeled solders and wonder if this is the direction the series is going. Wool-pig-cow is now dead to me.

I know what outerra is, and I like the concept. I know they aren't making a flight sim or anything at this point. The reason I mentioned it is because the engine has the kind of LOD scaling that would work for what was suggested. There's a market for the Eierlegende Wollmilchsau and the dev group that gets there first could make a bunch of money. :)
-
IMO the examples of the outerra project might prove that a single dev (only 2 programmers) is capable of delivering the elusive "Eierlegende Wollmilchsau". I doubt a joint venture, but I think a single dev team could make this dream CFS. ArmA 2 is a infantry simulator with the ability to interact with everything. DCS could be the flight simulator that allowed the ability to interact/play_as with everything.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

I would be happy if they gave it their best shot. :) I guess my point is that I would like to fly a multi-role, US, fixed wing AC. -

My hope for the next DCS module after A-10C is to fly the F/A-18E Super Hornet! -
Gawd that makes me hungry for a F-16 DCS module! :pilotfly:

Personally I like how the BMP-3 is more of a challenge. It's not as dangerous as the ZSU-23, but dangerous enough to make you respect a convoy with them in it. In MP, approach them in trail formation and let the leader distract while the trailer is the shooter.

is it still worth it to buy blackshark?
evilnate replied to kingneptune117's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
DCS:BS is the most sophisticated, detailed FS on the civilian market. The only piece missing would be a dynamic campaign such as what is provided with the Falcon 4.0 series.
