I have read(can't remember where) that SPO-10 does show direction from where you have been locked up. All four lights light up only if locking platform is within 5 km from you. Is it true or not I really don't know.

If I can make recommendation for landing practice in general. Make a mission in Mission editor with air start about 20 km from the runway with speed of 500kp/h and ALT of 1500 meters for straight in approach. I do recommend 800l for clean config. When you land you can save the replay. Then you load up the replay, use time compression and when you are on a final approach, just before outer marker you hit Esc and take control. It's a time saver:thumbup: The same concept goes for landing practice in a box pattern or carrier landings(not with MIG 21 obviously).

I think 2000l is way too much. Clean 800l, AA missiles 600l, AA missiles with empty rocket pods 400-500l, landing with bombs-never. Vertical velocity 1-2m/s speed 300-340kph on runway threshold, AoA-have no idea ( of course, never idle the throttle before main gears touchdown). Flare 2 Sec before touchdown. Landing speed 280-320 (depending on weight) These are rules that I use and never had any problems. Smooth as a butter.

If the front seat pilot is AI, can he do many things as well?
Void78 replied to kaoqumba's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Maybe it has been addressed, but will there be RIO tutorials eventually? Just curious:book: -
All you need to do is type: DCS_updater.exe update @openbeta in command prompt. If you don't like it for some reason and want to go back type: DCS_updater.exe update @release Full info: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 So you have options:thumbup: P.S: I'm running stable too. I'm now in OB because of MIG 19 and will be until F14 goes stable.

That is good news.Of course Murphy's laws decided that i have to go on the trip on the 10th for about a month.I will have to wait a bit longer:D.

My sentiments exactly.Really excellent 3D modeling on their part, coding not so much. I hope things will change starting with MIG 19 onward.

Way to whip those young cubs in to shape. I am very grateful that we still have people like you around with the strong sense of ethics and morality. Seriously, how dare they express them selves freely, and throwing tantrums all over the place, it's not like you can understand, you were never there. And don't forget to kill their self esteem promptly. Then you can be a part of that glorious corporate entity who is stripping them of their cajones. A man from California preaching about morality-the audacity u have. I was there a few months ago. Old depeche mode song (walking in my shoes) was swirling in my mind.

I haven't noticed any hotheadedness by you or by anyone else for that matter. I saw it as an usual back and forth, or maybe it is a cultural thing. Sure, some people did get a little emotional, probably because they care too much. My guess is that those are the ones that will stick with you even if meteor(pun intended) hits your office and you have to start all over. I think that yesterday was very productive, and I do believe that issue of ambiguity will be resolved promptly.

U are right of course.But i don't think i will be around that long. I'm not Methuselah:lol:.
-
Or you can ask somebody who has already bought it, is it any good.:D It is a day one buy for me.So is MIG 23 and MIG 25 (one can only hope). Than i think I'm done.Enough modules.

I see what u mean.We do live in Orwellian times. If people cant take a joke, what else is there. Not my stile;i choose to be carefree. Let the dice fall where they may;)

You have got to admit what he said was funny as hell. Only somebody who brushes his hair with firecracker can say something like that.
