Have to disagree with you here. I almost never use point track ever sense it came out and I still miss 8 time out of ten. Before almost never had a miss. It’s now at the point I no longer take the BRM’s and there is a group of 6 of use that fly the JF that no longer use the BRM’s. Some have even gone back to the f-18 which breaks my heart cause I can’t stand that Jet

This advice I’m guessing is for every missile except Aim-120 or I like to call ED-120. A missile that can no longer be notched and confused by chaff and now does a 180 if it misses you and comes at you from another angle. Yeah the only advice is just eject. But maybe the new ED-120 has inbuilt laser that shoots ejected pilots now.

A screenshot wouldn’t show you anything. When the instrument knob is turned all the way on it looks as the lighting is still off. The cockpit lights themselves are still good, it just the background lighting behind all the numbers and instruments that are really really dim

I have watched some BMS tutorials on YouTube with f-16 doing DTOS but what’s the point? It looks just like you slew the hud diamond onto target location and conduct a CCRP. So what makes it DTOS? Am I missing something that makes it different to normal CCRP?

That’s correct. I may even have the tac view file if that helps at all?

+1. Is anyone able to get the 802’s to get through ship defences?

I also come from the F-14 and have taken on to learning the JF-17. I now only fly the JF. For me chucks guide was the best to learn from. There are good tutorials on YouTube but you have to visit a few different videos as no one actually covered everything. Except Grimm reapers but they get a lot and I mean a lot wrong but maybe they can get you started. I’m also teaching 2 friends how to fly it at the moment. I live in +10 time zone so happy to help if your online at a similar time.

Myself with 2 other friends were on the Hoggit server last night. We were firing the BRM-1 90’s at ZU-23’s using lock on the targeting pod so the target was boxed and the BRM-1 90mm missed every single time by all three aircraft. I manually guided the targeting pod with the cross on the lower part of the target and the rockets also over shot, it wasn’t until I manually pointed the targeting pod lower then the target itself I got hits. We Fired more then 30 rockets testing this and we got 3 kills in the end. We switched the GBU-12’s in the end.

[fixed] SPJ either changed start or does not work anymore

Yep The lighting on the UFCP is very hard to see now.

This post talks about the seeker. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=275687 Basically only ED can fix the seeker but let’s face it. Unless it’s about making the Aim-120 superior or nerfing the SD ED doesn’t want to know about it.

In the latest update the Aim-120 has yet got another update most likely another buff. But does anyone know if the SD-10 got its battery life back?
-
Your previous post said it has a range of about 5-8nm in real life. I will be more then happy with those ranges. But I’ll be even more excited about it being SALH

I agree, I don’t want to sound like DEKA’s amazing work isn’t appreciated. But using beam riding changes how you fly, how you target. It actually makes it a different weapon.

Only the pod

As in while wearing NVG you can see the actual laser. So a wingman can look outside the cockpit and see your laser pointing at a target. In the F-18 you can press “Mark” which does this.

was using the rockets last night with a friend in multiplayer, we were missing our targets a lot when they shouldn't have been. however in the quick update released today I tested the rockets again in single player and they seem to have been fixed but I only missed once out of 20 rockets with me doing break off turns while the rocket is still tracking but I can't see anything in the change log? or is this a known issue for multiplayer only?

100% agree. Deka seem very approachable and willing to change things that are within reason. So Deka is this an option?

feel free to blast me if this has been suggested a million time before. but my understanding of the problem with the BRM-1 at the moment is that the rockets is meant to spin while also laser spotting. but due to ED not having that type of guidance Deka has instead used the same as the vikers (Can't remember how to spell them) and used beam riding instead. however instead of having the correct graphics for the rocket spinning can Deka not have the correct guidance for it to laser spotting and not spin, instead of beam riding and spinning . So when ED get around to adding the feature that is missing then add the correct graphics instead?

I think the point they were trying to point out is that before you could fire the rocket and then break off, I used to fire my rockets around 4.5nm then break off about 100 degree's before the 4nm point. I would then be tracking away from the contact area while also guiding in the rocket. I would then continue my loop around and do over and over again. this at the moment is not possible you have to fire your rocket then continue straight. you can climb but you have to keep within 3-4 degrees of your original heading when you fired the rocket or it will miss the target.

Off topic slightly but does the pod have some kind of laser marking? I can’t find it if it does
-
I think I understand what OAP is, just to clarify if you are looking at something in targeting pod or you have a known way point you say attack a target that is let’s say 030degrees at 500ft from that known point? My problem is why would you do it like this, it seem like it would be easier to just point you targeting pod at it, or even just use you HUD diamond to target it. If the object isn’t displayed on the F10 map then it is just a guess at the bearing and range from the known location. Even more if you actually new exact distance and bearing then wouldn’t you just put in the LAT/LONG?
-
Deka has informed us in known problems that the BRM-1 laser guided rockets are currently beam riding, however they are meant to be laser spotting but that can only be fixed from the ED side of the house.

Slightly off topic how do you loft the SD-10? By pitching up or does it actually do it by its self?
