  1. If you are working with an asset that is using true, you should also use true. Less brain cells using math means more brain cells on what matters.
  2. Interesting how the people you contacted said that there isn’t anything in the cockpit that is True, and yet there is a function in the DCS cockpit that does exactly that. Who knows which is true? Pun intended. Anyways, I’m my experience True is used in similar examples presented by the original post IRL. The reason being is that if you call a BRAA, for example, for an asset that is 200nm away, they may/will be in a different magnetic field and will therefore be inaccurate. The relative direction of True is always correct no matter were they are, as long as they are on earth, haha.
  3. To answer the original question, yes, it is possible to command the Jester wheel using VoiceAttacked keystrokes. This is what I have done in my VoiceAttack profile that you can find here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3308776/
  4. I don’t explicitly see the answer to the first post tested via the current dcs Openbeta build. I’m mentally reminding myself to check it out later
  5. All DCS airports have a perfered runway at a specific wind threshold. For example an airport will favor one direction for a headwind component of -4m/s and above. When the headwind component is -5m/s or below DCS will make the other runway the active runway. So, to answer your question, in DCS if the wind is blowing the "other way" strong enough, the ILS turns off. The rule of thumb I use when designing missions is to make a wind 4m/s of headwind to ensure that you get the active you want.
  6. IRL, ILS conditions are not "usually" "heavy" winds. As for the direction of the wind, you can opt to land with a tailwind if landing performance (brake performance) allows. If not, shoot a different approach or go to a different airport.
  7. Sorry to see ya go. To uninstall DiCE remove all files and folders that came with DiCE. To get a list of all files and folders, download DiCE and compare. After doing the above, do a DCS Slow Repair/File Validation. You should be good to go after it’s complete.
  8. I just got mine around the time you posted this, coincidently. Uninstall all Leap Motion apps. Install the download at the url. Plug in the device. From there got to the visualizer (which may or may not require VR). It worked for me.
  9. https://www.amazon.com/Transfer-Individual-Switches-Aluminum-Splitter/dp/B08QHJS6YF I like this one for the tactile on off switches and the status lights.
  10. I suggest using this active fork of dcs-bios https://github.com/DCSFlightpanels/dcs-bios
  11. I have started making the keypad buttons, some buttons that would better be served on the SD rather than the HOTAS (like the HUD modes and almost everything on the lower left collective), and others around the cockpit. I have also started to design what will be some Tiles for the live data that will stream to the SD via the ah-64d.lua file via DCS-ExportScripts. I find that using some time to lay things out before the module is released gives me a better understanding of how I want things, how things should be, and more time enjoying the module! For the front seat, I have considered just making the SD the controller itself jkjk I have been using the Wags videos and the ED preview pics to get a sense of the switches and buttons in the cockpit. You can check out a great HOTAS pic here: This is a nice cockpit overview video:
  12. Here, try this. https://github.com/asherao/DCS-ExportScripts/tree/master/docu/StreamDeck Examples I found the solution on accident because of a fortunate typo I made. For the decrease, make the "Increment range min/max" -1 and 1, respectively. Please let me know if you are able to load the profile in the link above. Thanks for the thanks! It is much appreciated.
  13. Updated Gazelle M lua - Reworked and added Radio exports, see wiki for details (https://github.com/asherao/DCS-ExportScripts/wiki/Gazelle-M) - Added many Gaz stock button pics - Added Gazelle M media
  14. Thanks joey45.
  15. Try this I know that people have trouble making profiles for the A4, so mileage may vary.
  16. Sweet! Tools > Preferences My CPU and GPU say thank you! Wish granted. The 30 FPS you see is due to the "Reduce fps when in background" option. Otherwise it stays around 60-62, as intended.
  17. Possibly. I wish for a more native solution.
  18. Wishing for a FPS limiter for the modelviewer (ModelViewer2.exe) set either via a config file or in the program itself. In my case an FPS of over 700 really hurts performance of the PC all around, making modding difficult with other programs running. The following threads are for reference: https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/123282-does-your-gpu-almost-burst-into-flame-when-you-run-modelviewer/ https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/73020-fps-cap-on-modelviewer/
  19. Remember, you can trial maps and modules on standalone for 2 weeks at a time. I have found that it gives me enough time to create a baseline for the module or determine the necessary scope for when I may purchase it in the future.
  20. They are now on the list. Just a heads up that it’s a sizable list so there is a chance that I may never get to these. If you have the time I’d suggest starting this journey yourself and if you get stuck you can ask around for some assistance. Not only will it provide a great learning experience, but you will get to customize and tailor the profile specifically for your liking.
  21. Here are the install instructions for the SD app. https://github.com/charlestytler/streamdeck-dcs-interface#installation you will notice that they also point to DCS-ExportScripts install instructions within.
  22. Good find. I don’t know. If you can find or conduct some solid testing to confirm, it would help quite a lot. I could then integrate the findings into the utility.
  23. No problem. Updated:
  24. v3 -Updated for DCS v2.7.7.15038, terrain clear is backwards compatible DCS-Update Witching Utility - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315428/
  25. All is normal. It happens. Just a heads up, I have not had the chance to update UwU for the new terrains folder structure. Thanks for mentioning the directory. I'll post when updated.
