I've done all that but without disconnecting from the internet and booting into safe mode. Certainly can't hurt to try this. Thanks.

Same here. Done that 3 times plus other things. They had me unplug and re-seat the headset cable, made sure I wasn't running an extension, made sure my graphics drivers were current. Then I sent them the logs they asked for. Then they told me to uninstall MSI Afterburner, Oculus Tray Tools and RivaTuner Statistics Server, move the cables to different ports. No joy doing that. Then they asked for a screenshot of the update messages which I forwarded and am still waiting for a reply to that. 2 months ago it was working just fiine. When I tried to use it the other day that's when I noticed the problems. So something obviously changed to cause this issue

I haven't used VR in a month or so. Yesterday I decided to try the F16 in VR. No joy. Oculus Rift S won't detect my display port. Kept telling me to update firmware. So I update, display port not detected, update, display port not detected. Round and round I go. I finally opened a support ticket with Oculus and was very surprised that they responded almost immediately. The woman had me try different things. We went back and forth for over an hour but still no joy. Finally around 11 last night I gave up and went to bed as I have to work this morning. I'll continue with support when I get home later. Hope I can get this sorted soon. I am not the only person with this problem and other people have had various degrees of success. So if anyone has any ideas I would greatly appreciate them.

4 days from Europe to the US east coast.

The cable is standard USB on one end and a proprietary connector on the other that plugs into the base. As far length, i’m not home to measure but I would say 5 feet maybe 6.

Thanks Baur, that's the picture I was looking for.

I believe if you remove the 2 screws from the fixed connector in the base it will solve your problems. Removing the screws will also allow you to offset the grip if you're not using an extension. Here's a link to a post here on DCS https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=245474&highlight=virpil+remove+screws

I'm at work so I can't check the actual dates but shipping was the quickest of any overseas order I ever placed. Believe it was no more then 4-5 days form order to receiving it.

1. Yes. I believe you would have to assign each button individually in DCS. If you mount the Warthog PCB (Which is very simple to do by the way) then it acts just like a Warthog stick and all buttons will be assigned automatically. 2. I've had it mounted to a Monstertech table mount and as long as the mount is clamped securely to your desk it is rock solid. The FSSB R3 needs to be mounted securely. 3. Don't know about this one.

What's with the non standard USB cable Virpil uses on their CM2 base. Why not a standard USB cable you can buy almost anywhere. I hope it doesn't ever break because I'd hate to have to wait for them to send a replacement.

Strictly A2G for me. Not interested in A2A probably because I suck at it. That's why I love the A-10C and the A2G side of the F/A-18C

Same here. Why would they stop producing that design for the V2. The center of the joystick is almost 3 inches farther back then my Monstertech. Doesn't seem like a lot, but to me it is.

Having used this setup for a couple of days I’ve decided I don’t like the Virpil desk mount. This is the short version 2 which is angled away from the desk. First, it sticks out too far due to it being angled. Second, it flexes too much for my liking. As I’m moving the stick towards full deflection left or right the base and mount moves or flexes. I’m guessing this is because of the distance the mount sticks out from the desk and the fact the resistance gets stronger as It reaches full deflection. I ended up buying the bracket (at a ridiculous cost) from Monstertech to mount the base to my Monstertech desk mount. I’m sure this will solve both issues for me. I’ll most likely put the Virpil mount up for sale to recoup some of the cost of the bracket.

Received my CM2 base today. 2 weeks exactly form ordering to delivery. Not too bad. Connected it but none of my F/A-18C buttons are working. Need to fiddle with it a little more. Also there seems to be too much flex in the VPC short mount. Gonna see if I can connect it to my Monstertech mount. EDIT: Got the buttons sorted. Now just need to fine tune the axes.

Mine is on the way also. Tracking says it should be here Tuesday 9/3. If that’s true then it would be 2 weeks exactly, but Monday is a holiday here in the US so I don’t know if they took that into consideration when they said delivery is scheduled for 9/3. That sucks you have to pay an additional fee on top of the cost plus shipping from Lithuania

Thanks for your response. I figured their mechanism would be better then TM’s. I was looking for something with a better action all around and I don’t think I’ll be disappointed. As far as delivery goes I was more curious then anxious. Thanks again for answering my questions.

And ordered a VPC MongoosT-50CM2 Base. For those that have used the TM Warthog base and then gone over to the T-50CM2 base. Has anyone used the cams that remove the center detent? If so, how is/was it. How is the cam with the center detent? Is it any better then the Warthog. Fnally, For those in the US how long after you placed your order did you receive your product? Thanks in advance, Lucky

Don't feel bad, I too am an old fart and I'm on my third trip around. Got out about a year ago. Now I've been back about 2 months. I don't want to know how much I spent this time around. Another Warthog, another set of MFG Crosswinds, another FSSB R3 Lighting, Monstertech table mounts, Oculus Rift S, TM F/A-18C grip, RTX 2080 video card, 16GB more ram. Anyway welcome back.

Received my order# 2107 the other day. Installed in a few minutes. Just need to tweak the settings in DCS as it is too fast.

If you haven't bought lenses yet look at VR Opticians instead of Lens Lab. Lens Lab only offers a goggle type lens (at this time) with a strap you wear on your head. VR Opticians has an actual lens insert which snaps over the Rift S lenses. I have them and they work great. Disclaimer: I do not work for or receive any compensation from either company.

So my order #2107 should ship in the next couple weeks. Woohoo.
