  1. So... If the missile range is dependent on battery/fuel, the 802akg can be sent much further in High cruise than 70-80nm?
  2. Unless my eyes deceived me, there was a clear break in the smoke plume on launch last time I chucked a couple.
  3. Ah so for the first one the two are glued together and can't be separated?
  4. I really like the new backlight.makes the screen look much more realistic.
  5. For give me but what's the difference?
  6. Is it supposed to fire immediately after the first? I would expect it to wait a bit depending on range to target to fire again to conserve efficiency. For example, for a long range throw, I would rather like it to stay near Mach 2 for much longer than just spike to Mach 4 at the start and lose much of its energy to high speed drag. Maybe I'm wrong. Not a PAF expert.
  7. Last time I tried on an arcadey MP server, I put a PP pt on all 4 since I could see them on f10. I hit 3 out of 4 Sam's that were placed in a side to side line very close together. I'm actually confident that the 4th one only survived because a building was between us.
  8. I just use the rough equation: fuel remaining/5000*40min = time remaining. Time remaining * stable speed = rough distance reach. For after burner replace 40min with 8min.
  9. Sounds like some brake is engaged. Or jet is stuck in the dirt like when you go off runway. When you go to adjust controls menu does it by any chance jump to a brake control immediately incase it's receiving some unintended constant brake input?
  10. IIRC you can run on mil power on internal tanks for about 40?minutes. On afterburner only 8 minutes. One thing you can do is look at the fuel number +xxxx in the top right corner of the hud and see how fast it is dropping per second. On mil power it is only one or two ticks per second. On afterburner it's in free fall.
  11. Looking forward to an overview summary of the changes. I've noticed that you guys have stopped making videos on the Jeff.
  12. Of course I would take a trim reset button over that any day
  13. Shame you can't put 1 Ld10 and 1 SD10 on same rack. Trimming Jeff is the worst thing about it. No trim reset button.
  14. It was never added. What you were seeing was radar happening to pick up datalink contact simultaneously or maybe your radar itself is the donor showing the contacts on datalink.
  15. For wiping groups of ground vehicles I don't like from beyond the reach of amraams: 800 fuel tank centerline, 2xgb6sfw on inner pylons, 4xSd10 on outer, 2x PL5 on tips. Use fuel tank to get high and fast. ~20nm from PPs drop the gb6. Drop the empty/nearly empty tank. Switch FBW to AA. Kill up to 4 bandits in the area with SD10. RTB comfortably on mil power. Rinse and repeat.
  16. Tbh if I was in Ed's place I would have done the exact same thing. Release half-baked products and let thousands of real-life users do QA for them. Don't forget, these modules are incredibly complex. The possible combinations of program states are unimaginable. I believe iirc DCS is around 5 million lines of code by now. It's practically impossible to test and fix everything within a limited time frame. And retest everything after the slightest modifications. I honestly can't imagine how deka made the Jeff so complete in early access. If they had help from ED or if they managed to bring over pre-built components from a jeff simulator. It's amazing. However, one may also see deka these days working hard to squash bugs. For every bug they remove there's a new one to take its place every open beta. At least that's my impression since I've joined this forum. The bugs keep on coming.
  17. hope you're trying the "the closer you are to the tanker, the closer you must be to its speed" rule. Its all about the throttle.
  18. Oh really? I hadn't noticed! I'll try to be consistent like everyone else and PAF.
  19. Lol good on you
  20. I don't know if real Jeff uses invisible ammo. The gun seems intended for air-to-ground use more than air to air.
  21. This is why you dont park your Jeff in the sun without cockpit cover. It will damage the screens.
  22. Looks about right to me. Seems largely a viewing angle and focal length difference issue.the thing that stands out most to me is the missing pilot name on the side of the cockpit.
  23. It only has an 18% discount compared to other modules.
