Were you able to resolve the issue? I'm experiencing the same issue, although with another export script. Changing that ExportInterval value to something extremely high is the only thing that fixes the issue, but it renders the script useless because of the timing. I have a 10900k, RTX 3090, 32gb RAM, and NVME SSD. I doubt it's a hardware issue

I did some more testing, and it's definitely this value that affects the stutter: ExportScript.Config.ExportInterval = 0.05 -- export evry 0.05 secounds Setting this value to something extremely high like 10000 will make the problem go away completely. But, setting the export interval to over 2 hours is obviously not very practical. I tried removing the f16 aircraft LUA in the exportsmodules and testing this aircraft, but it's still happening. I'm going to try to comment out some of the export libraries and see if I can isolate what is causing this.

That looks pretty dang good! My wife has a cricut as well, and I never once thought about using it for this kind of stuff. Did you use an adhesive, or are they just vinyl/plastic overlays that sit on top of the throttle base? I use my warthog throttle for all kinds of planes, and I tend to not use the majority of the switchgear because I bounce a lot between modules and cannot be bothered to map & memorize the lesser used functions.

First, thank you for your work! This plugin works great for me, and is a lot of fun to use to build streamdeck profiles. I am having a slight problem, and I narrowed it down to this export script. I get a very noticeable micro-stutter in-game when using this plugin. My system is pretty decent (10900k, RTX 3090, 32gb RAM, NVME SSD), so I don't suspect it's a hardware issue. As soon as I move the export script out of the \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Scripts folder, the problem goes away completely and DCS runs 100% smooth. I'm not running any other mods or scripts. I tried completely formatting my SSD and reinstalling DCS, and it still happens as soon as I add this script to my Scripts folder. I tried modifying these values to very high numbers (10.0) to see if it would help: ExportScript.Config.ExportInterval = 0.05 -- export evry 0.05 secounds ExportScript.Config.ExportLowTickInterval = 0.1 -- export evry 0.5 secounds It seems to help a little bit, but it seems to just prolong the intervals between stutters. I ran some FPS tests. With the export script running, I get 80-90fps with stutters. With it removed, steady 118-120fps. This is all at 4k resolution.

correct as-is Position light switches reversed

Thanks for the info! -
I checked back a few pages, didn't see anything on this topic. When I switch fuselage lights on, it lights up the tail. When I switch wing/tail lights on, it lights up the fuselage. Is this backwards, or is my understanding of these switches the issue here?

I managed to deliver cargo somewhat reliably, but it really highlights my lack of piloting experience.
-
I didn't know that. I managed to deliver some cargo with the sling, for the first time ever. This opens up a lot of missions for me.
-
I didn't even know we had the ability to use the sling on this thing. For the fun of it, I was simply swapping the Mi24 in the place of the Mi8 on missions made for the Mi8, but a lot of them required the sling and I couldn't find anything in the quickstart manual or control bindings. Thanks Chuck!

Does anyone know if the "fix" was included in this patch? I don't see it in the patch notes.
-
Agreed. I find with helicopters my hands and feet are quite busy for most of the flight, whereas I rarely touch my pedals post-takeoff in fixed wing planes, with the exception of the WW2 birds. Just my $0.02, I usually feel way more satisfaction after completing a mission in a helicopter compared to a fixed wing. You also get to appreciate the amazing detail of the DCS maps, like flying through the mountains in the Caucasus hunting for rebels. You can also do a surprising amount of damage in a single outing with the KA-50 with the Vikhrs.

Petrovich sturm misses high with about 55% hit rate
Scofflaw replied to fargo007's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
Not a huge sample size, but I just fired 16 of them and 15 hit. All single player, all in Syria. -
Thanks! I wonder how come people are saying it's easier to fly.

I'm getting a tiny bit frustrated with the trim. If I'm in a shallow and stable turn and click trim and quickly let go, it will push over in the direction I was banked. I'm also noticing my yaw gets trimmed on its own even though I never enable anything except pitch and roll. I tried different trimmer options but I can't find anything that works. At least the trimmer hat helps me adjust my trim, but I'm definitely not flying this thing the way it should be flown.

I wonder if this is what I've been experiencing. I was approaching a location to scout for more targets, and as I ended my J-shaped turn, all of a sudden I completely lost all lift and dropped like a rock. I did my whole approach and turn at approximately 50km/h, so I didn't think it was my speed, but I honestly wasn't paying THAT much attention to my speed.
-
Not the result I would have imagined. What I found most notable is how stable the KA50 looks compared to the other two.
-
I don't know why I never tried it, but I disabled all the LEDs and the problem is gone. I really didn't feel like installing the Thrustmaster TARGET software because it gave me issues last time I tried. Thanks again for the help!
-
Maybe I'll give that a shot, thanks! I tried to invert the axis, and noticed it does the same thing on the opposite end. Basically at 100% forward or aft, and at 50% it's okay, but it jitters pretty heavily at any other position. It's driving me crazy, since I use it for a zoom axis, it looks like my pilot is having small seizures the entire flight. I wish we could put a dead zone or something to help ignore microscopic inputs.

I spent 30 minutes trying to release the bombs only to notice I had submunition dispensers instead of bombs. Anyway, with bombs mounted, I tried a cold start, and also using the auto start, and I can't seem to drop bombs either. I checked all the switches and they seem to be correct, so maybe it's a bug.
-
Make sure the armament circuits at on (up) in the front seat To release from the rear seat, make sure "FIRE CTRL" is enabled on the armament panel, and BOMB is selected using the selector switch (you should see BOMB illuminated under the HUD) To release from the front seat, make sure you have weapons armed and assumed controls (two guarded switches on the left of the forward panel), and BOMB is selected on the selector switch From either seat, press Release Weapons (RAlt + Space by default) to release the bombs I'm still working on aiming...

I used to think the KA-50 was hard to fly, but now it feels like the sharpest scalpel in DCS after flying the hind. Not complaining, it'll just be extra rewarding once I'm not staggering around the skies like a drunk.
-
I did some more testing - if the the "Airspd Snsr to Doppler" switch is enabled, your aircraft go in the opposite/wrong direction on the map. This was with both a cold and hot start.

I have the cockpit set to English, but I'm not sure what all the button functionalities are, such as Adjustable Stops.
