  1. Hi, Press either the PgUp or PgDn keys once .. and control will return to your mapped axis. It's a bug for sure, .. as a few other folk have experienced the same thing. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=106249 Cheers Tom
  2. Hi, I've been moving DCS World and all the Modules across to Windows 8 64-bit, ... from Windows 7 32-bit. :( However, no matter what keyboard (Microsoft Sidewinder X6 or Logitech K800) I use, .. and no matter what I do ... I cannot get DCS to recognize the LWin key (Start). Everything works great in my CH profile etc., .. i.e. recognizes LWin just fine, .. but, as soon as I load DCS .. the LWin key has mysteriously vanished, .. and will not come back. It all worked great under Windows 7 32-bit. It's obviously a DCS issue, .. but does anyone have any idea as to how I might go about getting that darn LWin key to work. :helpsmilie: I would be most appreciative .. as I really can't afford to lose any more hair .. Winter is approaching. Thanks and Regards Tom
  3. Hi hreich, Check this thread ... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105168 Cheers Tom
  4. .. that's telling him. Cheers Tom
  5. Um, .. no it doesn't. I'm running Win 7 32-bit, .. and DCS World and all the addons work just fine. :) .. no problems at all. Cheers Tom
  6. Hi, Yeah, .. I've had the same problem, .. and also following a repair. With engines etc. off, .. the cockpit panel just shakes like crazy. Once I take-off, the shaking stops, .. but, as soon as I land .. it continues. Was convinced there was a gremlin back there, .. which would certainly explain much of my flying .. and crashing. :joystick: Cheers Tom
  7. Hi EB, What might be the case, as is happening to me, .. is that the Throttle/Corrector axis doesn't function after the auto-start. :joystick: I have my throttle wheel on my CH Fighterstick assigned to the Corrector. After the auto-start is complete, .. if I try lower the throttle with the Throttle Wheel, .. the indicator moves down, .. but then it just moves back up again to Full Throttle. However, .. if I press the PgDn or PgUp key just once .. then my throttle axis works fine again. It's kinda locking out the Corrector axis input, .. until one of the Throttle Keys has been pressed. Weird ... Cheers Tom
  8. Yip, ... I had the exact same problem as .. Wolf. .. couldn't finish the Mission .. :music_whistling: Methinks you need to create another mission Wess, .. um, what could you call it .. how about .. 'Blackhawk Down' .. :smilewink: .. just a suggestion. :) Cheers Tom
  9. Hi, The link has been disabled ... too much traffic/bandwidth .. .. any other link(s) .. ? Cheers Tom
  10. Hi, With 'Center Trimmer" selected, .. once you have 'Forced Trim', .. you MUST return the Joystick and/or Rudder Pedals to their Neutral position, ... before they'll work again. :joystick: The 'Center Trimmer' function prevents undesirable joystick/pedal inputs from occurring, .. as you are returning the joystick/pedal to their centered positions. :joystick: e.g. if you are holding your Joystick forward and left, .. and then 'Force Trim' .. as you move the Joystick back to center, .. you are essentially giving back and right cyclic inputs to the Huey. The 'Center Trimmer' option prevents that from happening. :) Cheers Tom
  11. Hi, Unlike all my other DCS products, .. I did not/have not received a confirmation e-mail of my purchase of the DCS Huey. I have installed the Huey without any problems, and activated it via the serial number provided at time of purchase. However, .. I'm a little concerned that there is no confirmation of my purchase, .. as per the standard e-mail etc., .. which serves as proof of my purchase, as well as providing my serial number, .. for future reference. My e-mail address is the same as it has always been, .. so nothing has changed as far as that is concerned. Is this perhaps related to the 'purchase' issues you were having in April? Please advise soonest .. so that I can set my mind at ease. :helpsmilie: Thanks and Regards Tom
  12. Hey Patrick, It is available for the iPad on the App Store. Search for iWarthogHD ... :) If you install it on your iPad, .. please advise if you have the same problems as me, .. with the Forward and Back arrows etc... Cheers Tom
  13. Hi Sickdog, Just downloaded this, .. and it is an impressive piece of work .. :) I do have a couple of problems however .. , .. primarily with the Checklists. 1. The 'Back' and 'Forward' arrows do not seem to function correctly, as 'Forward' doesn't seem to work at all, and, at times, seems to work as 'Back', .. similarly, but not to the same extent with 'Back' .. consequently I have to swipe left and right to scroll thru the screens. 2. Weapons: I cannot get to the 3rd screen (Weapon Delivery) at all, .. either via the 'Back' and 'Forward', .. or by swiping. I can sort of drag it left a bit, .. but, as soon as I take my finger off the screen .. it snaps back and disappears. Other than that, it looks great. Haven't played DCS in a long time .. but, your app will make an invaluable aid and tool. :) Thanks for all your great work. BTW, .. I'm running on an iPad 4, with IOS 6.1.3 Thanks and Regards Tom
  14. Actually, what I said is NOT incorrect. 2 years ago I purchased A-10C, which included the Nevada Map. I currently don't have the Nevada Map as part of my A-10C installation ... simple as that. :music_whistling: I don't care what has changed. I paid for something .. I don't have it. There was no suggestion of .. you MAY get the Nevada Map ! .. if things change you MAY have to wait > 2 years to get the Nevada Map. etc.etc. etc. Oh, and believe me .. I'm calm. Perhaps you should take heed of your own advice. Cheers
  15. I probably fall into this category .. :smilewink: I can't believe I bought A-10C on October 5th, 2010, which INCLUDED the Nevada Map .. and over 2 years later ... I'm/we're still waiting for the Nevada Map to be re-released. .. almost seems criminal somehow. :noexpression: I'm pretty sure that someone .. Wags? .. said that the Nevada Map would be released shortly after A-10C was released. :music_whistling: Did most of my flying, during the Beta Phase, on the Nevada Map .. and have rarely played A-10C since it was released. Really missing that Nevada Map. :noexpression: Perhaps I need to make an addendum to my Will, ... so that perhaps my son can collect on my purchase. :noexpression:
  16. Actually, it may just be the Registry entries for BS 1, that need to remain intact, as I'm sure that's what the Upgrade Installer probably looks at before it installs. If that's the case, then one could delete the BS 1 folder etc.. However, if you need to re-build your system, for whatever reason, then that could pose a problem, as you would lose the Registry entries. I'll say it again, ... a representive of Eagle Dynamics needs to clarify this issue. Right now, all we have is speculation. Cheers Tom
  17. Logically, this doesn't make any sense, and, if this is the case, then the folk at ED need to do something to sort it out. I'm not keeping 7 Gb of unused disk space, just for Black Shark 1 to reside, just in case I need to re-install Black Shark 2. :( I'm pretty sure that now that I have received a new serial number for BS 2, and activated it, that ED now consider my install, a Full & Complete version of BS 2. Which, hopefully means, I can re-install at any time. Alternatively, I can download the "Full" (i.e. non-upgrade) version, and re-install with that, using my new serial number. Can someone from ED please clarify this issue? Thanks Cheers Tom
  18. Hi, So, once we've done the Upgrade to Black Shark 2 (downloadable version), and entered the new Serial Number, .. and Activated, .. can one safely assume that we'll never need the original Black Shark files again? I'd hate to do a Full re-install sometime in the future, only to find that the installer is looking for Black Shark 1. :helpsmilie: Thanks Cheers  Tom
  19. Hi, I almost, ... and somewhat foolishly, considered buying an iPad thingie, just to use your iControl software, ... amongst other things obviously. :smilewink: Fortunately, I came to my senses and bought a Motorola Xoom. Great machine, and most pleased with my purchase. However, it is just screaming out to have iControl running on it. :joystick: So, I would be most appreciative if you could release an Android version of it. No rush, .. but, .. tomorrow or the day after would be great. Ta awfully, Cheers .. :drink: Tom
  20. Hi, .. There's a Text discrepancy in the Landing Training Mission. When the Instructor talks about the AOA Indexer, specifically about what the Down and Up arrows/indicator means, although what he says is correct, the Text is incorrect. i.e. When he says the Down arrow means your speed is too low - the text says too fast. When he says the UP arrow means your speed is too Fast - the text says too low. This is with Beta 3, with the updated Training Missions. Cheers .. :)
  21. Same here. :joystick: Weird.
  22. With HUD as SOI, .. DMS Forward Short (Home Key) cycles thru Next Steerpoint/Waypoint, and DMS Aft Short (End key) cycles thru Previous Steerpoint/Waypoint. Cheers .. :)
  23. + another 1
  24. Ah Nickhawk, .. thank you. Simple really. I actually did read up on the FPMenu some time ago, and FP sequencing mode. In Beta 1, and as per the A-10 manual, if defaults to Manual Mode. I wonder if the Beta 2 change to 'default' being Automatic Mode is permanent, as, if so, DCS will need to make the appropriate change to the A-10 Manual. Personally, I would prefer the default to be Manual, as per Beta 1, and the A-10 documentation. Thanks again .. :) Cheers ..
  25. Hi, .. Would someone please be so kind to tell me, what it is I have to rip outta the cockpit, to stop the Steerpoint from automatically updating to the next Waypoint. I'm finding it quite frustrating that it is now doing this, since Beta 2. I much prefer to manually select the next Steerpoint, as it was in Beta 1. To me, logically, it doesn't make sense to automatically select the next Waypoint as the new Steerpoint, as you fly over the current Steerpoint. Now, if the A-10C had a route-following Auto-pilot, that would be a different matter. It doesn't, so why the need to automatically select the next Steerpoint/Waypoint. Here's the scene: You're flying towards a Steerpoint/Waypoint, and enroute you set SPI to the Steerpoint. As you get closer, you are moving the TGP, and SPI to select targets around the Waypoint/Steerpoint. As you fly over the Target area/Steerpoint, you may want to set SPI back to the Steerpoint, to go back and look for more Targets. In Beta 1, .. no problem. However, in Beta 2, as you fly over the current Steerpoint, it automatically selects the next Waypoint as the new Steerpoint. If you now set SPI to Steerpoint, not only are you looking in the wrong direction, you're also flying off in the wrong direction. This is especially nasty when flying Missions with lots of Waypoints all close together. Once you realise your SPI is looking at the next Waypoint, and not the current one, you have to find the right SOI, or switch etc., to switch it back to the previous Waypoint. :joystick: So, if anyone knows how I can disable the Auto selecting of the next Waypoint as the new Steerpoint, I would be most appreciative. :helpsmilie: Thanks Cheers .. :)
