  1. Thanks very much Chuck, .. your efforts are most appreciated. Cheers Tom
  2. Received .. Password Change Request .. e-mail!! .. when I didn't request to do so. Is there mischief afoot .. ? Should I be concerned .. ? Cheers Tom
  3. Hi, Are you saying that Left is Right, .. & Right is Left ... ? :joystick: If so, .. I also have CH Pedals .. and Left is Left etc .. so, no problems with mine. :) Cheers Tom
  4. Hi Derek, 'Castles in the Sky' .. would be cool .. ;-) I'm an ex-Vaalie myself .. albeit of Scottish origin .. :-) Cheers Tom
  5. Hi Derek, Copy them here:- J:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\CoreMods\aircraft\F-86\Liveries\F-86F Sabre You will have to create some folders (the ones in bold), as per my example. Greetings from Port Elizabeth .. :) Cheers Tom
  6. Hi, Here's a short track .. just after I reach 450, .. I try to roll left, .. which results in the weirdness/clipping sounds. I can still kinda roll right. Hope that suffices. Cheers Tom No Left.trk
  7. Hi, Yup, .. noticed that as well. I think the sound you refer to, .. is the 'heavy breathing' sound, .. playing in fast forward. :joystick: It's almost like the G forces have gone nuts ... Cheers Tom
  8. Woo Hoo ... Thanks Eddie .. :-) Cheers Tom
  9. Hi, The problem, .. as I see it, .. is that the F-86 installer is kinda crippled, .. in that, .. it will ONLY allow you to install in the DCS World folder, .. and not the DCS World Openbeta folder. You can't even point it to the DCS World Openbeta folder, .. as the installer keeps wanting to append \DCS World to it .. so you end up with \Eagle Dynamics\DCS World Openbeta\DCS World ... My DCS World is sitting at Vers. 1.2.6 .. whereas my DCS World Openbeta is sitting at Vers. 1.2.9 What I did was rename my DCS World folder to something else, .. then renamed my DCS World Openbeta .. to DCS World. The F-86 installed normally, .. and once it was completed, .. I renamed my folders back to the way they where. .. make sense? Try renaming your folders etc. etc. ... Didn't have this kinda problem, .. when installing any other modules into the DCS World Openbeta folder Cheers Tom
  10. I'm currently running Open Beta 1.2.8.27915, .. otherwise I wouldn't have asked. Cheers Tom
  11. Hi, Is the 1.2.9 update® actually available, .. cause I ain't picking up anything. I run the DCS_updater manually, .. and it loads DCS World up normally, .. with no mention of an update. I get the news that the F-86 is available .. and that's it. Cheers Tom
  12. Nice Gesture for those that qualify. I've bought everything, and spent $333, .. and apparently that entitles me to a discount of ... $0, .. nada .. bugger all .. Sweet .. it's great to be a loyal customer .. :music_whistling: Cheers Tom
  13. Hi, Looks like the Training Missions that involve weapons need updating, .. as you only seem to have access to weapons on the Port Side. Also, I see that the Collective and Throttle needles are still tied together. Other than that, .. so far, .. I, as well as my door gunners are have a blast .. :) Cheers Tom
  14. Nope, .. won't be suckered in to a Belsimtek Beta again, .. unless .. the finished Huey is released first.:) I see no benefit in funding their 3rd project. :smilewink: Once bitten ... twice shy .. :)
  15. As bkthunder pointed out .. every other mission is fine. :) However, .. depending on where your collective is set at the start of the Mission has a minimal affect on the bucking Huey, .. and ONLY because I already know the Huey is gonna go nuts .. and I'm ready for it. :joystick: In the initial release of the Beta, .. this Mission started off smoothly, .. and where the Collective was set .. was inconsequential. .. not so in subsequent releases. :( Not a big deal really, .. I just prefer to be challenged as the Mission progresses ... and not before it starts .. :smilewink:
  16. Nothing at all to do with skill!! How can skill possibly play a factor .. as the Mission completes loading and starts. i.e. you have no control at this point. When the Mission starts, .. the Huey is all over the place, .. i.e. yaws right/dives etc., and one has to fight it, to get it under control. :joystick: It was fine when the Huey Beta was first released, .. and, subsequent to the first update ... the Huey is bezerk on Mission Start.
  17. I agree, .. it's most annoying. :( It wasn't like that when the Huey beta was first released. Very disappointed in the progress of the Huey, .. well, the version we have anyway. Aside from a couple of tweaks to the flight and damage model, nothing else seems to be happening, .. and we seem to have additional bugs as well. :( I was really looking forward to the Huey, .. but, haven't flown it in over a month now .. just too frustrating. Hope the final, .. bug-free version, .. is released soon.
  18. Correction: Belsimtek - 2/3 rds of a Huey Other ED partners - 0 :smilewink:
  19. Did you read my post?, .. I said that I have ALL the modules, which would logically suggest that I have the larger of the downloads. Tom
  20. Hi, Although I have all the modules, .. my update was only 90 Mb. I see that some folk have mentioned 150 Mb. The most obvious thing that seems to be missing, .. are the new manuals for the A-10A and Su-25 .. :book: Does anyone/everyone have these new manuals installed? Thanks Cheers Tom
  21. Hi, Rather than everyone playing guessing games, .. as most are, .. read this:- In a gentle turn, the position of the nose in relation to the horizon, which is the visual reference for pitch attitude, will remain relatively the same as in straight and level flight. However, as the angle of bank is increased, the attitude of the disc must be altered by backward pressure on the cyclic. This is to compensate for the added load factor imposed by centrifugal force as the turn steepens. The loss in airspeed, or the need for an increase in collective to maintain airspeed, becomes more apparent as the angle of bank increases. Taken from:- http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/civilaviation/publications/tp9982-exercise6-975.htm I've highlighted one part in bold, .. for those that said that back pressure on the cyclic is not used. .. just as you would use back pressure on the Yoke/Control stick of an airplane .. in a coordinated turn. :) Some of the comments here are too funny. :megalol: Cheers Tom
  22. They've been moved to the Available Add-Ons Tab of the Module Manager, .. with a purchase price of $14.99 each. Not sure if that clarifies anything really. As a FC 3 owner, .. I wouldn't expect to see that. Cheers Tom
  23. Um, .. NOT considering purchasing them again. I was wondering WHY it was giving me a purchase option, .. IF I already had FC 3, .. and according to Wags' post .. FC 3 owners would get the updated A-10A and SU-25A for free. I would only expect to SEE a Purchase Option .. IF I didn't have FC 3, .. WITH the updated aircraft. ... logically speaking. So, .. why present me with an option to purchase something .. IF I've already got it. ... unless I don't. Tom

  25. Oh, .. I thought it was a preview of the laser effects from the forthcoming DCS module .. X-Wing Fighter .. :spam_laser: Oh well ... :drink: Cheers Tom
