  1. I would love nothing more than to fly a troop carrier into a hot DLZ/clearing in a village/mountaintop OP/pub carpark.. (Maybe even to simulate Prince William landing in his gf's back garden, the ****) But I think we'll all agree that it'd be next to impossible to make AI that reflect the communications real aircrew can give the pilot :( But then you never know.. ED will have to do something special for the AH-64 module eh? My fingers are crossed.. lmao
  2. It's impossible to argue one way is better than the other so whichever feels most natural! Spit.. or swallow..?
  3. :helpsmilie: I'm lost :helpsmilie: Stumbled across this thread - this is AMAZING, good work!
  4. Hahahaha, the ultimate geek scenario - fighting over a PC (sooooorrrrrryyyyyyyyyy)!
  5. I didn't read the writing, was just gonna say that these were in Oz - slightly more comprehensive reply there Ethereal.. :)
  6. Mmm that's what I was wondering.. wait and see I suppose..
  7. I'm a woman, couldn't you tell? Edit: not that it matters anyway.
  8. Sea Cat? Sea Dart? I like how that's on wheels.. Very Portable, handy if another person needs to use the sports-hall, for instance for a netball class.
  9. Sorry for sounding thick but is this going to be the Next Big thing in terms of Russian guided AT missiles, and also how is it guided to target? Radio commands the entire way from the launch vehicle (once the missile has arrived on the battlefield using it's INS)?
  10. I meant what campaigns would the game be shipped with? Obviously not specific details but what's the general mood in camp? For instance it could be anything from COIN with datalink (as advertised by GG ;)) or tankbusting.. Just wondered what the 'focus' would be on (I think however I now have a good idea.. ;);))
  11. Go AMX, make Europe proud fellas..
  12. I know absolutely nothing about this, but it doesn't look radical enough to be the Next Big Thing if you're asking me..
  13. Out of interest what kind of scenario/tactics will we be seeing/using in DCS: A-10?
  14. Well I suppose it depends. I was anticipating DCS: A-10C being conventional warfare, so my mind was set up for the A-10 flying low level (Fulda Gap scenario) stuff.. Whether that reflects modern A-10 tactics is debatable I suppose (with the benefit of hindsight). Ironically though,it seems the HMS would be more relevant in the role I hadn't considered it flying in - the COIN warfare it has presumably been used in since 2001. In this case it seems a shame that it hasn't currently got a HMS - Seeing as the Jaguar [now retired] briefly had one and apparently proved it's worth.
  15. Taken from Air Forces Monthly in 2007: I would argue that this is gunslinging. I would want my airborne guardians to get the most accurate munitions on target in the least amount of time - whatever the technology.
  16. http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?t=72842 Found this today - It's not a specific thread on the F-22 but does degrade into one (by the second page). Namely whether the F-22 needs a HMS, and to what degree. It covers the major theories on why it doesn't have one - Technical difficulty or lack of funds? Impartially, it seems to me that the answer is halfway - The F-22 is so effective already it's not seen as cost-justified to develop a working HMS. Therefore it's been shelved, despite the fact that the F-22 is not at full A-A and A-G potential without one.
  17. Out of interest isn't the Mi-28N used because it's night capable (and can fit an emergency 'passenger')? Found this thread whilst looking for the F-22 one lol.
  18. OK, there was a pic in the first place but it was posted before (the superhornet kill of an F-22) - I took it off for the above reason. Sorry for misunderstanding.
  19. wtf? You deleted my link as well as my picture? Actually everything relating to the F-22? Cheers Tharos
  20. Bloody hell you're all still at it? Japanese? Mitsubishi? Tucano/Super Tucano cockpit (test)?
  21. Thanks Topol, can't rep you apparently. I haven't seen the current question but is the answer 3.14 at 30,000ft or is that idea just pie in the sky? Failing that I'm gonna make a nonsensical guess that the plane in question is a Draken - (it ALWAYS IS) I came fifth in a pub quiz tonight, now i've been invited to watch Star Wars [?] at my mates house. good night fellas, good luck. Edit: Oh just thought, it could be a Dassault Aviation Colon. (or is that just a shitty pipe-dream?)
  22. Just imported this from another (duplicate) thread: If PanzerTard's right, couldn't trees be placed in a fence around the edges and the texture of the raised 'ground' be simply changed to a treetop collage?
  23. Lmao, took a while of reading until I realised English wasn't this person's primary language. A bit of a literal translation there lol.. EDIT: I feel a bit harsh now, having read through the list looking for something to rip the piss out of the author for. It's obviously an amateur site, some poor guy has written all of that.
