  1. Sorry Joey, it was a Chinook. I didn't have any pics even as remotely interesting as Griffin's so I thought i'd find a bit off one of 'my' planes that was semi-recognisable (but not too easy). Think I misjudged that one lol, but you do get half a point for spotting it was the undercarriage! Erm, I haven't used Google griffin, but i'm gonna have a blind stab in the dark at the Merlin chopper (in German use? - Spotted the MG3)
  2. Oooooooooohhhh you beauty I'll PM you the answer as i'm off to bed now and don't want to halt the game for anyone else. (don't open the PM unless you want the answer ;))
  3. Will do! I have a special place on my HDD for these, especially with the Harrier in the pic. (Btw, any planes you want photo'ing when I go to RIAT? http://www.airtattoo.com/airshow/Aircraft/participation)
  4. Ermm.. the F-ACK system of.. erm... (not Googling this one, i'm only cheating myself;)) Is that Danish? Quick Quick Quick.. A Draken? But then.. you're from Finland.. Finnish Draken?
  5. Yeah, Chickenhawk has a bit for everyone. I think even my girlfriend would find it interesting. Both an amazing insight into the skill and bravery of Huey pilots in Vietnam and also the psychological effects of 'taking the strain'. It's books like this which make me appreciate the job of anyone in a uniform who is prepared to stand up and be counted and just have the physical and mental strength to keep on going through anything thrown at them. Ed Macy, Robert Mason, the Cpl's and Sgt's back at depot, and about half the guys on this forum.
  6. Topol you should be made immortal for those pics, thanks a lot mate, beautiful.
  7. Expecting a full report from you fellas before next weekend!
  8. Good man! Your turn mate. (http://www.aviastar.org/helicopters_eng/focke_330.php)
  9. Can't wait! Me and the gf have just booked a hotel and last-minute tickets! Aside from the weekend, if we go down on the Wednesday (next week) is there much to do in the surrounding area? Never been to this part of the UK before.. Anyone else going?
  10. I missed a t, and you've gone and immortalised it. I suppose that the Ka-50 IS a legacy fighter lol, but yes i'd love to fly a Sepecat Jaguar.
  11. Or was it to prove to potential military customers that advanced helicopter flight models are viable, along with advanced mission scripting, whilst retaining a commercial market for us single-players? As for 'DCS: F-22/Longbow/Ka-52/SR-71/U-2', wouldn't 'DCS: Legacy Fighers Series' be more fun?
  12. It confuses me a bit, I tend to simply use the TD box as a 'snipers crosshairs', smaller the better.
  13. I suppose a tank platoon could surpress a helicopter from fairly far then..? [given billboard terrain]
  14. Talk about trusting the FPM! And yeah Wilde, that Puma flypast is mad isn't it. I think you'd only ever do that ONCE in your career eh? lol
  15. I *think* they were Alpha jets.
  16. Boys will be boys.. LMFAO 'You wanna be scared Trav.. SH*T you wanna be scared.. ! He's gone down.. ' Haha that's what friends are for eh?
  17. Same applies to everyone who's been in the Armed Forces on this site, good to have you ALL here!
  18. luckily the gf had just nipped to the toilet .. lol ;)
  19. Hehehe speed is indeed life, which is why I don't plan on getting close to the enemy in the A-10! Can't really nip behind a hill like you can in Falcon, LOMAC taught me that good and proper :)
  20. Look good, will it be optional (i.e. turn-offable in Graphics Settings)? Should sort out some gripes lol
  21. Well there's been a couple of threads so far on the tactics actual KA-50 pilots use, and no solid .pdf's etc, so first things first Ethereal! If i've missed something please redirect me, just there's this hi-fidelity KA-50 simulator, and no real life Russian tactics guides!
  22. I have to admit Ed that I was a little suspicious when you started posting (as you can imagine ;)) but great to have you here! Story all checks out, looking forward to the PDF, all the best mate!
  23. ..that's not what I meant.. EDIT: Oops sorry Poko just got that that was to explain to other people.
  24. Hehehe it was horribly satisfying to ripple fire them when I was a kid playing Commanche ;) OP; I think that TrackIR is essential in Black Shark, even more so than in a plane sim as you have the HMS to play with.. If you're short on budget possibly buy the TrackIR and then a steering wheel off eBay with a pair of pedals attatched (I got my set of pedals and FFB wheel for £2! And no I won't shut up about it!)
