  1. I've noticed the difference, before the update trimmed to 10 degrees maintaining 144kts would keep me where I need to be all the way in, now my needles are aligned until I get the ball, it's centered and still now overshoot. I have noticed the speeds decrease a lot more as the weight goes down a lot more now so my landing speed has been 138-141kts give or take trimmed to 9 now
  2. As for your medals, this is the scoring to get them. Air Medal: -200 points Purple Heart: -600 points Bronze Star: -1000 points Airman's Medal: 1400 points Distinguished Flying Cross: -1800 points Silver Star: -2200 points Air Force Cross: -2600 points Air Force Medal of Honor: -3000 points Now of course you don't actually need all these points to get anything, but it's just bling.
  3. You can tell how old this aircraft really is since its using the old HSI instead of the MPCD the newer upper lots had
  4. Well I Just purchased VIACOM Pro as well as the Chatter package and I'm not all that impressed as of right now. I've had nothing but problems, been through the manual as well as all the youtube videos and my opinion still hasn't changed. As someone who loves to make the house shale I hate having to play in virtual silense so you can use this package, the chatter while there is almost non existant. Can barely hear it so I think the devs need to turn that volume up a bit more. Right now I rather modify any mission and add a trigger for my own chatter. Im using a single button 4 since my X-55 are not conducive to 6 different keys just for comms, and a know good switch often wont trigger the comms. Commands not often recognised even after extensive training! I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but some help from everyone here that has this, please help. I got the "Our software is perfect Email", so it must be me.
  5. Oh I know the feelings on trimming, I usually fly a STD ship loadout, lord knows I've loaded it enough times but 5/7 Fuel, Sta.1 A9, FLIR(When available) Or my ALERT loadout. For my STD it's about 6 degrees unloaded wing down
  6. You silly man you, of course they are used, not during the day and not until on runway but for taxiing @night, they are always used until they approach the ground crews or in short bursts
  7. The 9X is far more than just a Heat seeking Missile, if I remember correctly it also has video capability, as quiet as kept. Don't think has come full circle in the fleet so must have just been testing phase when I was in WTS/VX-9 back in the day, but as stated above, it is a nice gimbled crystal not like the 9M series and is internally cooled so days of the IR Cool switch are pretty much gone. Yes it can look behind itself, pilots used to use ground crew to track us, when it first came out it was kind of unsettling.
  8. Don't know if its me but is the Stick trimming supposed to act as if it barely works. If I'm trying to trim laterally its almost non existant, seems it takes quite a while to trim in any direction
  9. Yes, AIM-9's, and AIM-120's cannot be loaded on LAU-115C/A's and "MUST" be loaded on LAU-127's. Only exception to this are the Rhino's which can have the BRU-32's removed and a block installed to bolt a 127 directly to it giving it the appearance of being loaded somewhat to what's shown above. Just as an FYI, I'm a prior Navy Ordie, so I most def know :D
  10. Since I cant tell which to change, (Feeling totally stupid here) Here is the 4 lines, change what has to please so I can see and compare. It's a rough night here :( addPlaceholder("ILS_Vert_Root", {0, 0}, VelVec_origin.name,{{"Common_IndicatorLandingSystem", 0, 51}}) addStrokeLine("ILS_Vert", 102, {0, 51}, 180, "ILS_Vert_Root") addPlaceholder("ILS_Hor_Root", {0, 0}, VelVec_origin.name, {{"Common_IndicatorLandingSystem", 1, 51}}) addStrokeLine("ILS_Hor", 102, {-51, 0}, -90, "ILS_Hor_Root")
  11. Any chance of a copy/paste still? Tried changing the values as I though you described but I lose the entire HUD except for the lower bank angels it seems. LOST :(
  12. Yeah I don't have it yet, I'm running stable version, not the Beta, so it will be another 2 weeks of getting my marks messed up on approach. Same size as VV so sometimes on wrong mark, grrrr
  13. Maybe I'm just tired and not comprehending what I'm supposed to change! I found the lines, can you copy and paste it in here so I can make sure I did this correctly?? Please.
  14. I have a great sound file of their comms during a CQ!
  15. You just need to kind of do the math in your pre-flight and adjust accordingly. Just so you know I don't think this chart was taken into consideration in the flight dynamics but I found a +/- 1 degree will be almost better. Thats just me.
  16. FYI, A120's "CANNOT" be loaded legally on a LAU-115C/A, especially since there is no area for a buffer to be installed. This is a false load by the DEVS :D. "HAS" to be loaded on a LAU-127. Now if this were a Rhino then the BRU can be pulled and a block installed that can attach the 127 directly :D
  17. This will give you the weights, enjoy f18-pocket-guide.pdf
  18. Well if your doing goofy gas for example, your Asym will be roughly 2000lbs off CG, by the charts this would equate to 6 degrees unloaded wing down. If you look below I gave a(n) image of the chart, and supplied some info to better help you out. 2 Pubs for everyone.
  19. Wags, will there be a fix to the Landing Area, if you bolter and have to go around I find the deck lights keep going off causing you to go through the radio calls again, as this messes with your concentration to keep going through that menu will there be a patch or something to keep the lights on in the future?
  20. Here's a little question for everyone. Has anyone found out how to mess with the deck lighting yet? Curious cuz the bright white island lights should be red and should have some amber, green and white on the roof.
  21. I believe the real A/C does but I can be wrong but most DEVS don't use the decimal option because of the calculations that would be involved. I remember when pilots had to enter every WP to go flying before the bricks were introduced.
