  1. I have no doubts! Im sure if you read my post again. You realize that it has no intention to criticize what the original poster said, instead. I was given a "tactic" that works really well in the sim. (it wont work the way the A10C does, but i do wish im wrong though) Furthermore i could not find any information about to ability to slew the maverick seeker to the TD box. M3 manual clearly says: (in short) After the TD box, move SOI to WPn page, verify target or slew maverick by cursor/enabled switch to align with the target then TMS forward to lock. If you you do have evidence that suggests otherwise i would like to see it myself as well.
  2. Theres no need to suggest to remove anything from it. Its part of the system and that is how it works. Like many have suggested you are most likely doing it wrong. The missiles have an xx field of view. Commonly referred to as Line of Sight. You can designate and ground stabilize the TD box however that dosent mean your maverick seeker can physically slew to that spot. The manual suggest, that you make WPN page soi and slew seeker over target. THe VIS mode is designed to cue sensors - TGP - on close proximity to the target area in a Off Boresight designation. Meaning, in a perfect world you would fly the 3/9 line in relation to the target. Therefore its impossible for the mav seeker to see what you tried to lock on. I highly recommend that you start using tgp mark points, from there all works in PRE mode and in auto handoff. All weapon releases is done through the tgp. So keep practicing and get better. Just because its sucks for you at moment it doesn't mean it needs to be removed.
  3. It seems the issue happens when startup at night time. In daylight its fine.
  4. The issue still exists :D, hope theres a solution soon.
  5. Yes! Im aware of, its called "Enhanced Interrupted Alignment" procedure.
  6. its called, realism. otherwise whats the point of all this. Dcs world is about getting in to the details and making the best sim ever. Specially when theres public documents support it. Furthermore, the team had it initially at release. Than it was removed for whatever reason.
  7. The question still remains, why cant we go INS 6. There are tons of public documents available out there that say it can.
  8. so, Impact azimuth is working.
  9. I mean, its one your flagship module and its advertised on almost all official announcements. It would be awesome if you could just write it on your low priority list instead to just say "We may consider these features". Things like that will improve the overall quality of the aircraft. The devil is in the details. The little things can make the biggest improvements.
  10. it used to work couple of patches ago. I havent tested it since. I think impact velocity isn't implemented either however you can change the values.
  11. I agree! Implement a system that can be used across all platforms. Would be really smart and fun to use. I have high hopes for a proper JTAC and C2 "module" or a feature implementation. However i do see how this is a low priority item. Overall I think its should be a core function in Dcs world.
  12. "It is partially implemented, like steerpoint/markpoint databases."
  13. This should be reported in the bug reports section. Hopefully it would get some attention.
  14. I take a guess here and say that its takes a bit of time to check information with their sme or sme`s.
  15. It would be awesome to further expand the link 16 capabilities. AWACS "C2" can assign missions to fighters through datalink. Hmmm....from F10 in GameMaster slot, right click fighter> assign group> select target "aa" or ag". yummy.
  16. Looking at the the pictures. Sensors seems to be correlating. Since theres no track file, im guessing its more of a contrast issue on the mav side. Adjust contrast on the weapon page as needed to get a better contrast of the target. Also noticing the tgp is not in point track mode. TMS up, point track commands the auto hand-off. Make sure you are in LAR when you do the hand-off. (which you are well within in this picture)
  17. if theres a radar detection during spotlight search it will automatically initiate a radar lock. Wags says this mode helps a longer range radar lock. Spotlight search mode has been in the sim for a long while now! Perhaps its getting the logic implemented, as the radar getting some love.
  18. Spotlight search allow the selection of the 4-bar ±10 degree scan pattern, and it commands the FCR to search a small volume of space. So if you cant see a target witch you know theres is one, try use the spotlight search to focus all energy on that heading. You might pick him up or get radar hits. Spotlight search should also be available in TWS when no bugged targets and no amraam in the air.
  19. i think for sake of simplicity. Take the amraam that is currently modelled and "just" make it better. In terms of reliability. Better guidance, better intercept, better target track, better ecm, etc.
  20. Not the subject of this topic, but i was wondering if ED could go on the ladder and make us the updated amraams, C6, C7. if we are talking about a specific year like 2007.
  21. Do they have any data to back it up or just saying stuff ? Where are the test result ?
  22. I also like to include what others have said about COAST mode here to the wish list of our radar !
  23. Tactical Combat Training System - TCTS Its the IRL version of TacView. Has no real usage in DCS world, yet.
