  1. "S" Search is an option to declutter, filter the RWR. You still want to get notified by sound of a threat of things that are in search mode. You cant see it, but you can hear it alerting the pilot of a "new threat" is searching.
  2. If you have moved the tgp even a bit the SPI has changed. CZ cursor zero it, or cycle steerpoint so the steerpoint is the SPI.
  3. I have the necessary documents to provide. It will be provided to ED. But that fact that you have nothing to contribute to this discussion instead, you going out of your way to attack about something is just plain wrong. IF you dont like the facts to improve for overall than stop participating in this discussion.
  4. Why ? - Realism at best! Pushing the envelope to make it better. Eventually calculate stores rcs as well. You gotta think outside of the box! Your average thinking will falls short very quickly if you dont looking to improve.
  5. RCS Units: m2 or dBsm (decibels relative to one square meter), .i.e. RCSdBsm = 10 log10 RCS RCS parameter attempts to capture, in a single number, the ability of the target to capture energy from the radar and to reradiate it back toward the radar.
  6. All of the mentioned numbers are from a clean, no stores, nose aspect aircraft. So the base values that Dcs World is currently using should be adjusted to match its real counterparts. This picture however ^^ is i believe its radar - radar wave related, how the radar supposed to work under different setups. If the claim is that the radar on ED modules are great but improving than RCS is as important to update. Therefore we get to enjoy a better more stable consistent functioning radar system.
  7. Comparing the data with the picture above i found those values are way off. Focusing on RCS only. For example: the Su-27: - RCS is ~ 15m2; Shenyang J-11: - RCS is 15m2; MiG-29: - RCS is 5m2; JF-17 Thunder: - RCS is 3m2; F/A-18C: - RCS of 2m2 F-16 Block 50: - RCS is 1.2m2; F-15 Eagle/F-15 E: - RCS is25m2; F-14: - RCS is 25m2; Mirage 2000: - RCS is 1 - 2.5m2; A B52 is 100m2. The B-1 bomber is 10m2 The B-2 bomber has an RCS of 0.0001m2
  8. 9. Rigth! The modifier, the many different factors such as : • the material of aircraft • the size of aircraft • incident angle & reflect we angle of aircraft • shape of the aircraft • polarization The base values needs to be higher and than when other factors being implemented to that, is should get worse.
  10. if its a simple value then a simple change can make a huge difference. Not to mention that RCS is just as important as anything else in Dcs world. Im aware that making a "accurate" rcs is a very complex task, but the these basic "simple" figures are so low that is just blows my mind.
  11. wait..The F15 is only 5m2 ? - ITs a giant aircraft so as the F-14, they are both close to 25m2.
  12. I think there are other related issues has been reported like
  13. A few years has passed by...I wonder what are the current RCS measurements in comparison of all the popular modules?
  14. i can 2nd to that. Its hard to replicate the issue. The simple one o one examples not going showcase this strange behavior. However if you fly a lot on GS server or any other popular server you will run into this problem. Also i find that theirs some sort of a conflictions between the fcr and datalink stuff, on the fcr page. With fcr filter set to ALL i often loose lock or cant get a lock because of it. So i set the FCR filter to FTR+ and monitor D/L on hsd. that works great. Would hope to see someone looking into this.
  15. A simple man can simply say, just make your own datalink system that can work across all other modules that share the same, similar datalink system without knowing every little details. There are documents that outlines L16 capabilities. Similar to how the current IFF is implemented one could argue that its rather simplified but for a greater good that allows everyone to enjoy the product. Just my 2cents, respectfully.
  16. I guess you can only know what they want you to know. If you do some research, you may find that its a real thing on the f16 radar. Here are some references that i came across. Pm to @BIGNEWY

  18. The way its seems Razbam adding the coastal radar mode on their F15 module. - https://youtu.be/6J9cX9tuNLc?t=220 What are the chances that we may see this feature on our F16 Viper ? @TheBigTatanka posted this sometime ago - https://forum.dcs.world/topic/305634-look-down-clutter-notch-question/?do=findComment&comment=5015274
  19. Hey! Seems to be a very exciting mission. Is there a way you got check the miz. Its unavailable and cannot download. Thanks.
  20. +1 for reconsidering, Dcs performance improvements are under way. With these "newer" technology it could be possible to implement such features.
  21. it does have such capability. Part of L16 Network with many other features we currently dont have.
  22. soo some bug reports become a wishlist item so that it never to be worked on ? - or is it mean its recognized but low priority? - Could of just mark it as reported in the bugs section ?
  23. Yeah! Static runways for FARPS. Could also have variable lengths.
  24. for "Need Evidence" I recommend read T.O. GR1F-16CJ-1 FLIGHT MANUAL HAF SERIES AIRCRAFT F-16C/D BLOCKS 50 AND 52+ year 2003 Page 1-125 Figure 1-44 FLCS Limiter Functions
  25. Hey! Which LAU-88 do we have, the LAU-88/A or the LAU-88A/A. They are similar but not the same. The A/A is an improved version of previous. Either way the LAU-88 (/A) or the LUA-88 A/A both can be boresighted. Why do you say LAU-115 when its the LAU-117/A ? - its rather confusing. The reason im asking which LUA-88 is modelled here because you guys had it implemented correctly at first. My assumption is that we have "had" the LUA-88 A/A. Which has a boresight memory setting. It provides the same boresight correction to all missiles on the same launcher. Meaning you only have to boresight one maverick on each pylon. if however we do have the LUA-88 A/A launcher specifically then its missing features.
