stop now or you'll get sick... :D
-
well, now that's a strange behavior... try to play the game using only keyboard and mouse, that is, unplug all controllers (including your cougar and rudder pedals) and disable TIR. other than that, maybe you could get some help from ED support, 'cause it can be software related too.

but reloading all the geometry, textures, audio, etc. is really needed? i know it must reset all mission values to default, but this can be loaded from the hard drive in seconds. but i can live without it. just a thought.
-
try cycling between view/click modes using LALT + C.
-
i would like to be able to restart the mission i'm flying without having to go through the entire load process everytime (quit then play).

i remember having a cyrix 486 DLX. but no, that wasn't gaming...

i like the final approach, after the flares. shows how much control one can have with this beast!

freetrack ftw! but to work in dcs, you have to download a patched file because tir is changing again :(

Fess up! Who else here is having a hard time?
aledmb replied to Ramstein's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
today, for me, it's only a hard to master flight sim. a kick in the teeth, to tell you the truth. hope some day i'll get to the gunman and ask him some rounds, rockets and stuff like that. my list of priorities include better TIR/zoom handling abilities, getting used to the trimming function and managing to keep the blades apart from each other (that's hard to explain but it happens sometimes). for me, it's almost always this way: :) - :joystick: - - - :book: - :helpsmilie:- - - :smartass: - :pilotfly: -
i'm more like that too. anyway, why buy the dvd if you already own it? 'cause of the manual?

Using the G25 pedals to control the rudder
aledmb replied to aledmb's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
well, i tried with glovepie, but no success. seems like it only allows remapping features existent on the controller. and i think it's not possible to emulate a hotas controller with ppjoy. in case anyone finds a way to do it, please let me know too. thanks! -
i configured the game resolution to 1024x768 in window mode (not full screen). this way i can read the PDF manual on screen while still having the ability to practice in the cockpit. this also enables me to assign the controls as i learn what they do and where they should be. i pretend to read it cover to cover, but have no time plans for that... in fact, this kind of reading is almost the same pleasure as flying the chopper. i'm still in the ABRIS chapter, but already firing the bird up and leaving the ground sometimes just for fun. my rate of crash to date is 100% :D edit: i would like the flight manual even more if it presented the systems in a more tutorial way (falcon style).

Using the G25 pedals to control the rudder
aledmb replied to aledmb's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
hi, i'm at work. i'll try this when i get back to home. maybe it could be possible to reassign an axis... -
you can always use a usb racing wheel and set the pedals as a rudder. some wheels are cheaper than the most basic rudders. i'm using my g25 pedals (clutch and throttle). http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=35901

Rotor blades hitting each other in flight
aledmb replied to aledmb's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
thanks for that tip! i'm gonna print and glue this in front of my toilet! never forget it! :smilewink: thank you sir! yeah Shrubbo, i'll try to keep that the way it's meant to be played...:joystick: i have a cougar and already have disabled FFB in the "Producer.cfg" file, because of my FFB wheel, so now i have the trim function working. thank you all for you replies. your help is being extremely valuable! -
man, you read before posting? no one here is complaining about anything in the sim. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=603779&postcount=41

If an elite DCS:BS player takes the real KA-50...
aledmb replied to Ferski's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
maybe ED could give an experience flight in Russia for one of it's customers. that way we could say it by ourselves... :music_whistling: -
hi, i'm certain this is a noob question, but there it goes... has anyone experienced rotor blades hitting each other while in flight? i'm getting this frequently after trimming the controls. the screenshots i'm sending are from a situation where i was flying forward with the controls trimmed (forward pitch). note that the blades are almost hitting each other after that trim. that's dangerous, i know. but then i trim it again and kabum, they hit each other. hope someone can help me.
