  1. Please keep us updated with your experiences with this kit. The messages on this and other fora, as well as YouTube, give very mixed reports varying from utter junk to the best sim kit since (chinese) sliced bread.
  2. From: CinC Fleet To: Admiral189 Have downloaded ship, placed mods/tech (along with your other ships), Aquitaine can be placed in the ME and present encyclopedia but is not appearing in game. Await further instructions.
  3. Let me get this right because I think the blurb just pushed out this evening by ED might have got lost in translation: 'The Normandy 2 map, which is nearing completion, will include free upgrades to the existing Normandy 1944 map. It will also be available as a single, purchasable module. Please note that those of you who already own Normandy 1944 or Channel maps, the Normandy 2 upgrade will be available for only $14.99.' If you've already got Normandy you'll get a free upgrade covering that (existing) area; you can upgrade to the much larger Normandy 2 area that takes in The Channel and Normandy 1944 by paying $14.99?
  4. Oh, for those days when the Royal Navy could still be classed as a 'navy'; when the fleet was still large enough to demand the RN trained its own engineering officers at RNEC Manadon (now a housing estate!). As a lad, I well remember going, after school, to watch the launches of Cleopatra and Danae. My father was involved in the design and refit projects for ICARA, too. Look forward to the release of the models.
  5. Joey, sorry to hear about your health issues - hope they get resolved ASAP. crazyeddie - got it in one! Many thanks but what precisely has to be done to 'change the allocated name for the seacat edm so that they do not conflict' I renamed seacat.edm in Hermes to seacat1.edm, reintroduced Illustrious to the folder and the 'big, green' missiles reappeared.
  6. Firstly, superb modelling and really look forward to the Ark- if she's still on the slip-way, of course? Two questions: I'm getting what look like 2 gigantic untextured missiles facing forward where the seacats (?) are positioned. Is this a 2.7 'thing'? I don't seem to be able to select the variants Centaur, Bulwark, Albion or Virrant in the Mission Editor yet the Hudson Bay is selectable. I have the livery package in user\saved games\DCS\Liveries - so am I missing something? Many thanks
  7. Me too - bought the carrier yesterday. Couldn't be bothered with the complexity of the F-18 but this T-45 is just perfect and (hopefully) will get better as more is added. Next, the BAe Hawk needs to be resurrected!! It is literally criminal that this was not kept up-to-date!
  8. This is really a superb addition to DCS and many thanks for the (obvious) huge amount of work you have put into this project. Really pleased to see some of the key bindings reviewed; I was starting to think there was something wrong with my X-55 so I'll check them out and report. One thing I haven't been able to do is arm the aircraft. On clicking on the pylon boxes I don't get any options and the 'Select Loadout' only offers a 'empty' option.
  9. I have tried and tried to make the autopilot work. Would you confirm the key-presses or settings for me. Thanks. As an addendum, it's a great shame that some work couldn't be done on the F-15's controlability particularly on the ground. Its instability is bordering on the farcical.
