  1. Great. I reinstalled it and changed the DCS version number to the current in settings.lua and now it works great.
  2. Heck, you can get this program to run? When I try all I get is Failed to generate mission Internal error chunk_1:(310,2-60): attempt to index a nil value context.theater/caucasus.lua context.timePeriod/2000s.lua context.rulesOfEngagement/conventionalwar.lua context.playerCoalition/blue.lua situation.intelligence/01none.lua situation.jtac/40always.lua mission.distanceToTarget/0050nm.lua mission.numberOfTargets/20afew.lua options.randomFailures/20disabled.lua context.coalitionBlue/usa.lua context.coalitionRed/russia.lua context.theaterCountries/00default.lua environment.season/00random.lua mission.startLocation/alliedAirbase.lua environment.timeOfDay/05randomdaytime.lua environment.weather/00random.lua mission.task/interdiction.lua situation.airDefense/30average.lua situation.enemyFighters/01none.lua What version of DCS are you running? And if you have the program working, in what folder have you installed it? I'd love to get this to work.
  3. Haven't bought this module yet, but just wondering will it be necessary to boresight Mavericks to TGP prior to use?
  4. Would like to see this implemented also
  5. Tried that, but the released version no longer works and Open Beta 2 still hasn't been released.
  6. Was going to have a go at learning the AV8B Harrier and had wanted to use the mission generator to set up some Ground Strike missions...ie. Blow up some bridge, runway, building, etc. But when I use "Ground Attack" or "Pinpoint Strike" in the mission generator, all I get are CAS missions or go support friendly ground forces. Is it not possible to generate Strike missions?
  7. Disabling Force Feedback fixed this :)
  8. My X-55 is calibrated in Windows and works fine in other sims. However in DCS when the joystick is centred, DCS sees it as thought I am pulling back. When I start a mission airborne, the plane is pulling up. Ordinarily, I'd put this down to a calibration issue or a key binding problem, but I've checked these. See pic below of ingame axis when joystick centred.
  9. Yep, getting the same here
  10. Haven't had a chance to update yet - Does the performance increase apply equally to Oculus Rift?
  11. Looking forward to this!
  12. As I'm getting better FPS in DCS 2.0 as opposed to 1.5, I'm wondering is 2.0 better optimised for Oculus Rift / VR?
  13. Even with mirrors off, the FPS averages 22.5. Sometimes jumps to 45 briefly if I dont look at the cockpit / HUD. Strangely, a brief initial test with DCS 2.0 gives me a steady 45fps!
  14. Mirrors are probably set to on...will check and try with them disabled.
  15. I already have AntiAliasing switched off. And this is with just the Quick Mission generator.
  16. OK. I finally took the plunge and bought a Rift. With ASW on, I get a steady 45 fps in IL2 BoS and the same in Elite Dangerous. This is with Pixel Density set to 1.5 However, in DCS (1.5x), I average only 22fps, it only rises to 45 fps when I look at the sky. Pixel Density at 1.5 then 1.3 and still the same fps. Settings are set to 'VR Preset' with AA set to off. This is running with i5 3570k overclocked to 4.2GHz, 16GB RAM, and a RX 480 8GB Graphics Card with up-to-date drivers. Anyone with a similar setup getting the same results? Or anyone with a similar setup achieving better? If so please share your settings :)
  17. Thanks guys. Looking forward to adapting :)
  18. Well, took the plunge and ordered a Rift despite my concerns over instrument / HUD legibility and being able to pick up targets in the TGP. With that in mind, I'd hope to still be able to use Snap Views with the Rift, primarily to have a large static view of the TGP for target hunting. Is this possible whilst using the Rift (am guessing not)?
  19. I made a post over a year ago re this https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=163338. A year on and am wondering has there been any improvement in the various VR devices re the ability to read gauges, instruments, digits, etc within the cockpit? Can you pick up ground vehicles in the TGP? Would love a headset, but not if it means I don't have full functionality of the cockpit.
  20. I'm considering a few upgrades to enhance my DCS experience. I'm considering a VR kit and have done a little research, and am no further forward. I'm left wondering about the viability of a VR headset but am confused as to a couple of things... 1) Are the dials / hud fonts legible or not with a VR kit? I've read a few posts on the elite dangerous forums that suggest instruments are not readily legible. I don't see the point in a VR headset in DCS if you can't read the instruments or pick up ground vehicles in the TGP. 2) Is it 6dof...ie. Can I lean in toward the HUD - all the youtube videos I've seen show the pilots view as if he / she is sat almost behind the pilot's seat. Just wondering if my cash might be better spent buying another 2 monitors instead.
  21. Anyone have a CH profile for the SU-25T? (Stick, Throttle, Pedals)
  22. Yup. I just bought my daughter a Delanclip and we plan to fly A-10C (me) and A-10A (her) missions together.
  23. I believe that FacetrackNoIR has a Freetrack plugin.
  24. Got my Ka-50 manual today----no excuse now for me not to master this!
