  1. RIP Tom Clancy. Red Storm Rising was my first Clancy book. I think he was also involved in the documentation for 'Red Storm Rising' computer game.

    Eye Candy

    Looking forward to this !!
  3. I'd also be interested in a UK squadron that would accept a complete novice.
  4. Has anyone bought the Defender Cobra M5 and care to post their thoughts on it? I'm considering getting one.
  5. Thanks Morgon...will be useful for me :)
  6. If you hadn't asked, I would have. Trying to give up the Win Home cheat startup and was encountering the same problem (faulty checklist I found in the forums was the culprit..and me for not following the training mission first!)
  7. Serial #: 11400 Location: Ireland |||
  8. My X52 Pro arrived today and I downloaded the profile from http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=59208. All the keys appear to work fine except Coolie Left which is assigned to the left most hat on the joystick. Coolie Roght, Coolie Up, Coolie Down all work fine. In-game Coolie Left doesnt work...I've verified this via the options - Controls screen. In the options screen, I can see that it is mapped to button 27 (Coolie left)...but it doesnt register when I hit the button. However, in the profile editor, after I can see that it works fine. I have verified that the physical key itself works both by windows control panel and by mapping a key to it in the profile editor. Any suggestions? On a sidenote, when i load this profile, if i mess around with trying to assign keys in the editor, it initially spams 'HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH' which is the mapped key for Coolie Left. Something weird going on. [EDIT] Sorry..posted this in the wrong section...moving to http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1237004#post1237004
  9. Have filled out an app Phil. Nice website :)
  10. MrRoper - I've recently bought DCS A-10 and am slowly getting to grips with it. Currently I have learnt the basics of navigation, using TGP, Mavericks and dumb bombs (CCIP only) and landing (non ILS). Contact me via Raptr (see sig) if you fancy a flight together, or PM me. I have to stress though that I am also a beginner and as such am still on the learning curve.
  11. Olympuss - if you want to fly and learn on the way (like me), PM me or better still, contact me via Raptr (See sig)
  12. Thanks Mojo..think I have it working now
  13. You still working on this Moa?
  14. Hi Mojo. I've tried as you have suggested and although i can now get ingame in the aircraft I select there seems to be a problem. There is no mission briefing. I can get in the aircraft but have no idea what the mission is hehe. When i select the aircraft I wish to fly, then select briefing, I get this... [EDIT] Just saw on 1st page that 'Mission Briefing' is on the ToDo list. That being the case, is there any way of discerning what your mission is?
  15. Thanks for the clarification Mojo - will try it out tomorrow.
  16. Ah. Reason I asked is I started a mission and it didnt appear there was any flyable aircraft as the mission started up with an external view of a E3 Sentry AWACs. Nor did I see any briefing. Just random.miz in the transition briefing screen (Just before you select 'Fly'). The mission file seems to be only 37kb.
  17. So that's a 'no' hehe
  18. Does this no longer work with latest FC2? I download the mission but it appears to be blank when I open the mission planner.
  19. Hmm. I'd be interested in this also. Never quite mastered the Ka-50, and would love an experienced hog pilot to help me get to grips with the sim! (Olympuss...if no takers, perhaps set up a session ourselves and do our best to learn from eachother and from mistakes) :)
  20. Is this compatible with DCS: A10 (beta), I wonder?
  21. Distiler is correct. FF5 now finally works with my nvidia 9800GTX - Win7 64.
  22. Try X3 Terran Conflict. Very involving and highly moddable single player game.
