Well, I agree that something is wrong with the Mistral since it's more feard on the Blue Flag servers then the Eagle. I don't want to repeat the names players use for them since of the decency rules.

Hello, I must say that I am loving every minute of the time with the new PFM MiG-29, great work ED! And I have one small request, can radar keep the settings when turned off and on? On the real MiG the PRF, azimuth, and range are hard switches so when you turn off and on the radar, it should keep the settings. This is a very minor issue but it cost time and increases the workload and room for error in combat. Ofc course the nav panel and CM counter are a standard request. Great work again and thank you!

Or just override the "LA" and fire, I have gotten more than one kill with ppl not expecting an R-27te so early... basically a long R-27te.... followed by an R-27re 5-7 seconds later... just to make sure they kick in the AB...

Talking about MiG-29 radar, did anybody noticed a drop in performance since the last patch or it is just me? I am having great difficulty tracking especially front aspect A-10c and Harriers... It could be it's just my mind playing tricks but since the last patch, I can't get a lock on any sensor when coming against a head-on low flying target (even dought I am lower and both of us are feet wet with no clutter). The scenery is the same, I pick up at 30-45km ППС mod, snap the СНП pointer at the target, the target disappears and it can't be picked up again :( In the end, it finishes as a game of chicken with me firing the missiles in ФИО mod since both the radar and the EO can't pick it up even dought I am pointing straight at it and are only a few km away. Anyone else having this issue?

It is a long-standing issue with the MiG-29... the navigation panel is not working...it is on the right next to the RWR. It is animated in the model so I hope we will get in some future version. It should work something like the one on the Su-25. The navigation panel and the chaff/flare counter are in my opinion 2 last things missing in the MiG as is, apart from that it is great!!! PFM and RWR working gave it a whole new life... I would love full systems modeling but with just this last two touches, it would make me a happy camper!

No, there is definitely a problem. the plane should lose vertical energy and bounce less with each next bounce, on the last clip it can be clearly seen that the plane bonuces are getting higher and higher till the plane brakes. There isn't anything that could add new vertical energy than the overpowered dampers... they should be taking energy away from the system, not introducing new one.... but maybe its already fixed... waiting for the patch tomorrow
-
It looks like the bounce energy is inverted... instead of losing energy with each bounce, it is getting more energy

From the top of my head: - New 3d scanning to improve the quality of the models - Work on Harrier and Mirage continues - M2000-5 and M2000-D planned in far future - A lot of Ships and Planes planned for Falklands map

I agree with most has been said... what I noticed people than to have two most common misconceptions regarding MiG-23MLA performance. First is they tend to compare it to the current version of the 'teens'... remember in 1980 there was not AMRAAMs, High-performance digital radars and data linking on a mass scale. the MiG-23MLA was taking on an Aim-9L only equipped F-16 which outperformed in BVR and out-accelerated, an Aim-54A anti-bomber (not anti-fighter) equipped F-14 and the AIM-7F equipped F-15A which it didn't outrange it by much... and it was much cheaper and more available then all of them The second mistake people then to do is paint the mainline MiG-23 performance by using the MiG-23MS with poorly trained pilots. The MiG-23MS has more common with the MiG-21 than a MiG-23MLA. In the end, to conclude, the MiG-23MLA was in my opinion in the 1980 quite capable in-expensive fighter all dought a bit dated something a keen to the venerable F-4. Of course with all of its down and upsides but nothing close to a completely useless fighter...

F-14, the long waited aircraft! Will MIG-31BM be the next?
FoxAlfa replied to Maverick Su-35S's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Please check per example MiG-25BM "Foxbat-F", not quite useless with those Kh-58 and Kh-31s. Also MiG-25PD with new radar is quite capable for the time during the Iraq-Iran war it had something like 8 vs 1 kill ratio, and even VS our beloved Tomcat it had 1 to 1 trade... in the gulf war two Mig-25 were lost vs 1 Hornet kill by the MiG-25s... in the end even the 'useless' reconnaissance version can carry 8 500kg bombs, similar that we can carry in the Hornet currently.... -
Visibility options/graphics settings also might impact your ability to spot units... I had fiddle a bit with them to get the optimal performance... once set correctly it became much easier to spot the enemy

Where is current Waypoint dispalayed?
FoxAlfa replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in MiG-29 for DCS World
I was suggesting that the players should be able to draw/add waypoints on the F10 with the engines off. Then when the aircraft is started that would be loaded into the INS. This could solve a lot of MP navigation issues and break of immersion. I am hoping that a lot of WP loading on F10 map is already done in CA so I don't think it would take a lot of resources to add to FC4 nav systems. -
Yes, that why I was hoping at least for the 1979 version without the updates.... Have a SkyFlash and A-A radar would bring enough new capability to the Viggen...
-
I agree, I would also like a button to change the livery in Encyclopedia.... since it does that on model change it can't be too hard to wire it to a button
-
I would love Draken too, I am suggesting JA-37 since the 3D assets for the exterior and interior could be reused... also lot of systems can be reused.... so it wouldn't be a big effort to get us JA-37... and I would love fighting in it...
-
After the Tomcat, and I know that this has probability been requested a lots time before, I would love a extension for Viggen with JA 37 version (early without cockpit and aim-120 amraam updates shouldn't be too different from AJ 37 and take lot of time and resources). Even as a payable add on

German Air Force MiG-29 Flight manual, page 138. http://www.avialogs.com/index.php/aircraft/ussr/mikoyangurevitch/mig-29/gaf-t-o-1f-mig29-1-flight-manual-mig-29.html

Yes, it is... it has been in the game for a while, there are few tutorial videos you can check on YouTube how to use it. Per example:
-
Looking at the Silver Dragons video of the cockpit animation: I noticed two things... nav panel has lights animated.... so we will probably get them in the future update... and also more interesting the radio channel dial is also animated.... so we might get radio channel switching in the future?
-
Yes, if you are using the any INS system on full system modeled aircraft, but for the FC3 aircraft you can't load any WPs in MP. Adding this feature to set WP in F10 map by point and clicking while aircraft is on the ground would give them bigger depth and usability to the "simplified" modules in MP. In the end the INS WPs in a real MiG-29 are set from the outside of the cockpit in a separate panel on the fuselage.

I recall reading the MiG-29 Yugoslav manual there was some restrictions when the fueltank was carried, vaguely I recall something to do with the air-brake so it could be a realistic restriction but don't quote me on that yet, need to recheck.
-
Hello, I am not sure if this was requested before, but it would be cool if it was possible to add way-points in the F10 map if you are engine off and your plane would load them on the engine start. Then the regular way-points would could be used for navigation in Multiplayer. For me having to go in flight to the F10 map to get a my bearing in MP really brakes the immersion. The infrastructure for this should be already in the game so it would be easy to add

Is the SPO-15 at least working? I can't wait to finish work and get home to try it...
-
Hello, in the last weeks news letter is was stated:"On 10 October we will release the updated MiG-29 Fulcrum for Flaming Cliffs 3! This will include a Professional Flight Model (PFM), updated cockpit, and several new cockpit system functions" I guess the SPO-15 is finally getting fixed, but is there info which new cockpit system functions will we get? I guess in the line with other FC3 AC the AP lights will start working? Any additional info? I know the that the nav info has been a sore point of the MiG-29 HUD repeater update....
