  1. I cannot get inti my account becouse it is asking me for two factor code. So I cannot set it. This is why I hate what ED has done, and why I think that info here is B.S.
  2. IMHO. Everything and everyone on this thread is full of it. None of you make any sense at all. None! What is this Google Authenticator app. Becouse 1. There is no such thing on Windows desktop 2. Downloaded Android app grom Google Play asks for QR code or provided code. WTF????? What provded code? There is none. What QR code. There is none. Where are they? WTF is ED doing?
  3. What is the correct Google Authenticator app. Becouse there is no such app for Windows desktop. Where do I even get this? The Android app from Google Play is asking for QR code. I am stuck in a circle logic. Where do I get this autheticator code from. ED what code are asking for?
  4. I CANNOT GET INTO MY ACCOUNT. I do not know what to do. On login after entering my email and password I get VERIFICATION REQUIRED window to enter code. What code? Where di I get it. It is not sent to my email. I installed Google Autheticator app on tab, but I get nothing on it. What is on going on? What code? Where do I get it?
  5. So out of the blue. With no updates installed. Norton has removed Trojan in M2000 cockpit.dll and now M-2000C is no longer auithorized
  6. In 1960's US Navy's carrier deck safety film, there are videos of aircraft at catapult with stuck or malfunctioning throttles or brakes that roll on their own. In DCS, until I got neck of subtle Hornet throttle control and fina art of gear lineup, I would roll too far forwards that Supercarrier AI decided was out of its distance of logic, so I was stuck. If there is space to turn around with high gain NWS, I would do it. But I have set up custom missions with desnse deck spotting of aircraft, with no room to turn. In real life that would not stop the mission. A tractor would pull up, and push the Hornet back to try again. Pilot and Yellowjacket catapult director would probably be asked for an explanation. In DCS I now use combination of inside cockpit directions from yellowjacket shooter AI, and F2 external view for fine lineup with catapult shuttle. DCS: Supercarrier does need a few details added 1. Plane captains or deck marshallers. 2. functional AI tractors on deck 3. Weighboard communication with shooter crewmen 4. Aircraftr tiedowns. Where do real life crews exit aircraft after trapping? Whereever they are directoed to by plane captains.
  7. What to do if taxing to far forward for hook up, on catapult and cant go back? It happens sometimes. Hornet cant go backwards, and there may not be space to turn around. What does NATOPS say in real life? A bunch of deck hands and tractor push the aircraft back?
  8. So about that Case I Expedited Sierra Hotel recovery. I am sure most here have seen that F-35C ramp strike on Vinson in 2022. Attributed to pilot error in not having auto-throttle enabled. He was doing expedited Case I recovery. Looked like he was doing Case I. Break at bow, gear down, flaps down, hook down (already down), turn to final, and trap. So whats the difference? My guess is its a compressed Case I. Bow break at eh bow , instead of 1nm in front. Base turn before seeing deck rounddown, turn to final "Ball' just inside 3/4nm. I have a hard time lining up outside 3/4nm, let alone inside of that, in DCS.
  9. I wonder if Navy aircraft have to land in Guam inn CatII and CatIII conditions, there is a Navy compatible system at Andersen. Which is not modeled in DCS. They may use modified CaseIII approaches.
  10. Not certain why I got C grade. On this pass. When it looked good, on centerline, and #3 wire. FA18Case1_Grade_C_wire3_BC.trk
  11. This is the best Case I I have done thus far. Still was centerline. Though LSO Grade did not state so. There were no Line Up (LU) remarks) Grade was (OK)_FX_WIC (BC) Fair pass with deviations ' (OK)', Fast at start '(FX)', Wings not level inclose (WIC), called Ball a little too early '(BC)'. I hope my interpretation is accurate. However I am incosistent. I cannot gurantee repeatability. FA18Case1_Grade_OK_wire3_BC.trk
  12. We are presented with a contradiction regarding Calling The Ball. Pilot is suppoused to call the ball when he see it, then DCS ball overlay is suppouised to pop up. But I DONT SEE THE BALL LIGHT! Its too small, too dim. So I call ball just to get overlay up as I roll into final for glideslope intercept. If I do that, it appears, the LSO gives me bad grade for calling ball too early. If I don't call the ball, then LSO gives me bad grade for not calling the ball. So a loose/loose either way. Call to early so overlay pops up, get a bad grade. Delay until I can see it without overlay, then its bad grade for not calling ball. Dear Lord! How did ED beta this? Process is confusing. It should not be. It should be straightforward and mechanical. Done in rote. I think I am getting incorrect information about bow break. At 350 knots, 800 AGL, banking 35 deg with 3.5G, by the time I am on base leg with 240 knots to get gear down and flaps full, I am 2 to 2.3nm from carrier according to DME, as it displays on HUD.
  13. Motherloving LSO in DSC has bad habit of WO'ing me at the ramp. When its too late for me to do anything. I may ttrap, I may bolter. I go to full burner, but there is a delay as engines spool up and AB lights.
  14. When I place flighpath marker on crotch, the threshhold of landing area at bow, the hook never catches. I T/D beyond the wires and bolter. Every time. So the marker should be just short of crotch deck edge. But its so dark and greay its just about impossible to tell, regardless of zoom. You are supppoused to use meatball only. Using flightpath marker is chasing the deck, and is not the corect technique. Here is my problem. I can't trust he meatball light, becouse it disappears or turns off, unpredictably.
  15. Yet another issue is just lack of readily findable information on ILS chanells for Hornet and Harrier. Both use ILS channels instead of frequences. In Supercarrier mod, carrier's ILS chanell is 11. But where is the list for fields? Open the Mission Editor, click on Andersen AFB, and it shows ILS frequencies in the approach arc. But no chanell # for Hornet and Harrier. I read that land based ILS is not same as Navy's CarrierILS. If so, then how Navy jets land in Cat II and CatIII ILS conditions on shore fields? So for example. Landing a Hornet on 06R at night in CATIII conditions. What ILS chanell should be set? Where is a handy list of ILS chanells for all fields?
  16. Thats the issue. Which one? WHen ATC tells you to land runway 06 and there are 06L and 06R, you cannot get clarity from DCS ATC, as from real ATC. So I land on the one that has flashing approach lights. Seems right. But even thats not always correct. I am looking for clarity, I get little to none.
  17. Its NOT! This whole process is confusing becouse its so badly documented without feedback. There are multiple issues happening, that are contradictory. At 150 knots, the FCS automatically sets the trim in a way that fights me , pushing the nose up, while I am tryiing to stay on glide slope. At 145, with full flaps, aircraft sinks and is mushy. At above 150, LSO is telling me I am fast. The lineup is just about impossible to get right. I have dark deck mod textures. and to me the deck stays grey until close in. ball les overlay is incosistent as to ON/OFF. It appears then disappears. Or the ball light does not appear on it. Other time it does. Or I would get cut/WO lights flash without LSO audio. Its unpredictable, so I am unable to diagnose my errors. Even if everything is smooth, I get Grade C, which means I made major deviations in close. When I don't think I did. Eventually,I may get it. Be nice to have a vitual back seat IP telling me what I am doing wrong or right, what to do and when to do it. Enter pattern at 350 knots at 800 AGL, 500 feet abeam of starboard. Bow break. When, at what angle. TO end up downwind leg at 1.2nm from carrier. at 600 feet AGL Enter base at 150 knots 600 AGL. At what angle. 45 deg (?) Intercept glideslope on final 3/4 nm at 500 AGL at 150 knots. This never happens to me. I am either too wide or too shallow. What does 3/4 nm from ramp looks like? I do not know how to correct. I have no actionable feedback. Am I too fast? Too slow? Not enough bank? Too much bank? Why is FCS fighting me at 150 knots, pushing the nose up? Why is pitch trim so far down , all of a suddenly when 10 seconds ago it was nearly neutral? Aircraft sinks at 135 knots below glide slope, and ball light disappears never to return on this pass. LSO is silent. If I rescue by placing pathmarker on #4 wire and ride that down, I may trap with #4 , 3 or 2, but will get a C grade regardless. All of the above is happening at same time. So it is not feaseable to figure out whats causing what?
  18. So 'Call Ball" is not even a communication menu item. How lovely. But the rest is helpfull.
  19. I like this https://dcs-docs.lordvesel.win/en/sc/04.recovery/#in-the-groove But here is the problem. I am faced with B.S.!! What is in manual is not what is in the sim. Specifically "Ball" is missing. Not there. Unavailable. Aint't there. I am unable to comm with LSO.
  20. From docs https://dcs-docs.lordvesel.win/en/sc/04.recovery/#call-the-ball Call the Ball¶ When your aircraft is in the groove (wings level) and you have the ball in sight, you should select ‘BALL’ from the ATC carrier radio menu. You will transmit: “[SIDE NUMBER] [Ball] [FUEL STATE]” The LSO responds with: “Roger ball” The LSO may also make these calls if your aircraft is not configured for landing: “Wave off, gear” – Your landing gear is not extended. “Wave off, flaps” – Your flaps are not configured for landing. THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE! It is not in the menu. It always, in my case , results in bad grade due "Bad Communications" Curses on all guilty parties!
  21. I have this. Does not really help. My problem is miscommunication in communications. Its so convoluted. Here is Grade OK but LSO has no feedback. All it states is Grade: OK. Wire #2 (BC). Not much use there. FA18Case1_Grade_OK_wire2_BC.trk
  22. This is what I am talking about. lens overlay NOT showing the ball. There is NO "Request Landing"menu option There is NO "Ball" menu option, thus no LSO "Roger Ball" ack. Thus bad communications, and bad landing. I am left frustrated, and scratching my head, becouse I have no usefull actionable feed back from the sim. Observe my finals throuh LSO view. I am clearly within the scope of the lens cam, yet I get no ball lights. FA18Case1_no_comms_bad _grade.trk Attempted Case III Again bad grade due "No Communication". This is so insanely confusing. FA18CaseIII_no_comms_bad _grade.trk
  23. Here is a point , that I don't see in manual, and dont know what to do. When I report "See you at 10", ATC acknowledges and tells me "Switch Tower". Which may mean that I am suppoused to switch frequences to LSO. What is that frequency? Where is it found? After "See you at 10" , I have no options to "Request Landing", and a before , no option to "Ball". So I have no clue how to contact LSO. This is not described in material. ED updates modules , but much poorer job in addressing documentation.
  24. When LSO grade states WX, that mean WINGS at start of final. WIngs what? Wings not level?
  25. Going through Supercarrier manual. One or two things seems inconsistent. They dont reflect whats actually happening in sim. I am confused on calling the ball. 1. Inbound communication 2. See you at 10 communication 3. REQUEST LANDING .. THis communication command is MISSING, when I am in Hornet landing on Stennis. AINT THERE! 4. When IFOLS overlay pops up as I am rollijg into final, I am suppoused to call the ball. THere is no "Ball" menu item! Where is it? I get a "Clara" option, meaning I cant see the ball. Is it now assumed that player sees the ball? So I never get "Roger Ball" ack from LSO. From that point things get inconsistent for me. Either I get LSO calls talking me down, and I ALWAYS, ALWAYS get "C" grade. Meaning it was unsafe, as no 'Ball" communication is issued by me. But I have no way of doing it! Maybe my memory is hazy. I recall that early in 2020, I saw LSO menu option . But I never get that anymore. Nor do I get Reuqest Landing menu option for Stennis, and of course no "Ball" menu option in communication. I have multiple issues all stacked up on top of each other, really wrecking the experience with Supercarrier module. Its confusing and frustrating, becouse it is not consistent with manual. There are few things in life more infuriating then learning something with outdated or incorrect documentation. I watched Wag's Case 1 landing video, and I am left with few questions "WHERE IS THIS IN MY GAME"?
