Fixed THX! Does Dir Gyro work? IS there a three minute alignment? For me only mag compass works. -

This is NORMAL behavior above 120 knots, depending on weather, QNH, and gross weight. The rotor experiences a hard retreating blade stall, that is very difficult to recover from. Best to do is collective down, cyclic back (slightly), pedal opposite YAW, PRAY! Stay away from 120 on speedo indicator! It happens fast, happens suddenly, happens hard. With conventional layout helicopters, the smaller the helicopter, the smaller the rotor disk, the lower the VNE. For DCS: OH-6A it is 120. 122 is near death. 125 is death. Fastest helicopter os DCS are huge CH-47 and MI-26. KA-50 is also fast with VNE of 155 knots or about that. Yes. New scripts replaced old ones. -

Please help on 1.51. Installed 1.51. Lost ability to arm helicopter. Lost ability to add any stores to helicopter except for fuel. Enabled flare dispenser, but do not get Flare Dispenser on/OFF and Dispense button. Any loadout created in Mission Editor or preflight Mission Planner is ignored. Doors remain oj helicotper despite being X'ed . Only fuel and grenades are honored. What happened? -
I can't tell if problem is F-5E or South Atlantic map. But F-5E and Mt. Pleasant do not like each other. Missions crash 5 to 10 minutes into flight. South Atlantic really is fine with other aircraft, including non-com mods.
-
I don't understand Mt. Pleasant ATC logic, of directing departure and recovery runway of 10 in obvious IFR/ILS weather. Overcast full, 400 meter celing. Regardless of wind, ATC has to use runway 28 which is ILS equiped as active runway. Yet Mt. Pleasant prefers runway 10 which is non-ILS VFR runway.

My error. THose were Singapore F-5S(or ES) with Israeli mods for PYthon carry. Google Earth sat data of Puento Arenas airport/airbase caught three Chilean AF F-5s on runway. I figure that Chilean F-5 had some equivalency to Brazilian F-5Ms. After more then 10 years of DCS: F-5E (I got it in 2014) its now boring. I use F-5E for fixed recurrent stick&rudder practice, as its fast and easy to start and fly.
-
Is there aything new'er that can be added to F-5E to bring it into early 1990's Can ED update F-5E realistically to bring it into at least late 1980's early 1990's? AIM-9M and AIM-9 on wing pylons allowing carriage up to four. Self protection jammer and expanded chaff/flare ILS radar upgrade Some kind of INS nav system. Pre revolution Shah Of Iran Air Force F-5E were photogrpahed with AGM-65 and AIM-7(M/F??) Anything? Buhler? Anything Right now DCS: F-5E is wearing 1960's GoGo boots and early 1970's bell bottoms, and navigates by dead reckoning in VFR only.

I did. But want to point out that DLSS kind of sucks in DCS, and advice on DLSS setting presented here are kind of worthless. Like that DLSS change from E to F or vice versa using a downloadable util (which fails Norton chack). Does nothing! E or F ot back to E. DCS with DLSS looks the same. There is no noticeable improvement in FPS, only degradation in graphics clarity. So I go through all these trouble, and result is 'nothing'.

I doubt there is much need to check weight when A/C has no stores, no tanks, no gunpo, and less then 1000 (500 per tank) or less fuel. In this config, with emergency combat power and water ON, our Harrier cannot transition to hover and land vertically at Nellis or any field with higher elevation, and struggles to stay in air at ship speeds at sea level on standard day. So there is a power shortage.
-
What is meant by 'ghosting'. I don't see ghosting with DLSS. I get weird noise and instruments are hard to read. At normal view zoom in any given cockpit, it is difficult to make out QNH/QFE seeting on altimeter or mechanical fuel weight. The numbers are noisy (animated noise) and blurry. So is the terrain, and it is irritating to look at.Especcially in slow speed helicopter flight, or hovering. Perhaps DLSS is good for fast motion 1st or 3rd person shooters or running games, but for DCS , DLSS kind of well..... It sucks.

Lately I am Having trouble with max power VTOL landings. Not enough power. WIth fuel at 1800 (900 per tank), 2 X AIM -9M, empty gunpod, and LHA-1 having 15 knots wind over deck, I keep sinking into water. Max power, emergency combat power ON, water injection set to land, nozzles at 82-85, I struggle at sea level vertical landing on 2992 standard day. In this state AV-8B should have more then enough power. Yet my throttle is firewalled, water on Landing, but aircraft sinks, it won't hover. Yet I am able to T/O vertically in similar state from LHA-1. Its on return landing that transitioning to hover that A/C struggles to stay in air.

Wow! 1.4 is an excellent UG! Helo is so much less twitchy and feels more realistic in flight. Now regarding main rotor disk droop and coning. Not really seeing that, and its in all helicopters except few 21'st century experimental helicopters/. Can NS430 (non floating stand alone) be integrated into non-commercial mods. Kneeboard map is good enough. Still with RWR, flare dispencer, and NVG, which are all in the mod, it is now in mid 1980's, early 1990's battlefield compatible. Strictly day & night IFR bird only. Flight into IMC is trictly prohibited. Aviation is a self-cleaning oven. Keep in mind. MD-500 is not OH-6A. MD-500 has stronger engine and 5 bladed main rotor. Some have 4 bladed torque rotor. So MD-500 flight characteristics are not same as OH-6A. Certainly not DCS: OH-6A. -
Stick full back on landing roll , AFTER weight on all wheels, does help with landing roll veering off runway. partially. It still pulls heavily, and even full differential brake on opposite direction of veer, does not fully arrest veer. Basically I don't count on picture perfect centerline all the way to 40 knots. At 40 knots NWS has authority. You just have to survive the 80-40 knot speed range on the runway. RAZBAM has to fix it. Regarless of RAZBAM's argument with ED.
-
M2KC NWS turns off at above 40 knots ground speed. Upon landing, it won't engage untill ground speed falls below 40 knots ground speed. Between 100 and 45 knots M2KC has a bug where rudder aythority with weight on wheels is near zero. So you will steer with differential braking. Even then, expect to run off the runway with slightest crosswind. Popping chute won't help. It is a bug that RAZBAM has so far failed to fix.

WInter is part of it, but cost and complexity is primary reason. There have been infrequent incidents of Russian aircraft, especcially SU-34 and SU-24, running out of dry summer runway due to brake chute failiure. Wheel brakes are not enough to stop landed Russian tactical aircraft. They have to use chutes, then rely on brakes after chute release. This allows wheel brakes to be lighter and simpler. Russians figure that chance of chute fail is far lower then brake fade or brake fail. In this they are right. American F-15s and F-16s have run off the runway , with zero altitude, low speed, ejection, due to brake fail. Always risky. Not all runways have functional emergency trap wires. American major air bases have runways to handle largest B-52 and C-5M landing at max gross weight. So they are very long. Long enough that tactical aircraft can stop even with marginal brakes. But that is not case for all runways , where USAF F-15s and F-16s operate fromNorwegian F-16's have tail brake chutes for winter snow runway use. Finns use hook to stop on road runways and winter snow covered runways.

So for RTX 3070Ti use Nvidia Latency or not

Found out that there is no TPM 2,0 for my particular wkstation model. latest BIOS update updates to 1.2 Pro ver of TPM. HP has ended suppourt for my HPZ 420. Oh well. It was bought refurbed on the cheap. -

DmitriKozlowsky replied to DmitriKozlowsky's topic in Game Performance Bugs
My HP motherboard has HP TPM 1.0. 2.0 is a special order rather costly thingajig. HPZ workstations are my favorite rigs. Extremly rugged, and reliable. But its like owning an Audi or Porsche. Many HP specific upgrades are costly. Primary task of my rig is to run Houdini, Rhino3D, Maya, NUKE,and various CPU&GPU render engines. DCS is just a diversionary hobby. -
Mods come and go. Both A/C , vehucle, and statics. If a mission is loaded with missing mods, then mission does not load. When a mssing mod is encountered, DCS shouls notify the user and temporaily place a holder box, like a box, in its place. Spending hours creating and refining mission, should not be invalidated months later, becouse some mod became unusable legacy or got removed. Thank you.

Max FPS should be equal to your panel's or VR set's refresh rate. My panel (s) are 144hz, which is very smooth. Above 90FPS DCS is very smooth, at 120 FPS diminishing return is reached. I set my Razer Athers poll rate at 250, from 500, and I can't tell any difference. I doubt Vsync would do anything for me, and might cost me 5-10 FPS, as very few empty missions break 144 FPS. You only need Vsync if you are producing such high FPS that display can't keep up. This is not a concern with DCS. For DCS to require Vsync, I would have to produce 280 FPS, which is not possible on my rig. IMHO, DCS multithreading, does not multithread that well. I can tell just by looking at my perf monitor. When I render or run simulation cook under Houdini and render CPU Renderman, or Vray, or Arnold, the threads are loaded. All of them. To the top. When DCS runs, the threads are not loaded highly, even with many mission units, but Perf monitor shows 100% GPU and GPU ram usage. Tottaly loaded and temp rise drasticaly to between 78 and 98C. So DCS is GPU loaded not CPU. But MT DCS system RAM does use above 32gb of ram. Where as a desktop PC game is suppoused to run withn 16gb memory footprint. South Atlantic misison load is particularly heavy, using up to 38gb of ram to load, but dropping to 24gb during play. -

Well I can't compare mine to yours. But I regularly average 100fps and above with AV-8B and UH-1H. I don't use DLSS, and DLSS don't seem to add FPS in my case. I dunno about DLAA. I run Win10Pro 64 as HP mainboard lacks optional Trusted Platform 2.0 or something . According to Win11 Upgrade diagnostic. I don't seem to notice any issues with DCS or Maya, Houdini, Rhino3D, or NUKE. Vray GPU , Renderman XPU(GPU), and Arnold GPU all run just fine. Refurbished HPZ wkstation Xeon W-2125 4ghz 4C 8T 64gb ECC 2666 RTX 3070Ti FE SSD 2560X1440 @144hz -
You can see the near-hard touch down. Almost expecting the gear to fold uncommanded. Bending main gear means that aiframe is probably bent at wing root. By bent, it may not be physically apparent to be bent, but certainly the airframe's life has just been shortened, or depot maintenance has been pushed up.

FPS drops and mouse movement causing stutter

Could this have anything to do with Nvidia Latency mode setting?
