  1. There is a new tridef beta out that almost works with DCS.... Only trouble I'm having is the FOV is jumping around and I think it is on their side. I played with all of the FOV setups and cannot make it stop. Flying in a 3d pit with 6dot is pure awesome. One other issue, the mouse pointer does not match up in 3D... I'm sure this will be fixed with full integration.

    RIP Paul Walker

Lets take away all cars and ride horses again... , but then we would have to ban horses because to many people get kicked in the head. Basically your thought process is asking to be put in 4 padded walls. RIP Paul.... pretty cool dude
  3. I'm trying to feed my rift fix until DCS works... but, in the mean time I loaded Tridef and Bms. Wow, it creates a totally new sim experience. Now, you still have the low res down fall, but I'm using the razor hydra for positional tracking which helps tremendously when needing to lean forward and get more pixels in view. It's so crazy in full 3d, because I keep trying to rest my arms on the in game canopy frame, and also use it to help me look back... nothing there! ( like a ghost) ! lol I'm ready for some full DCS...
  4. Cold today, so I decided to test out Tridef and Blackshark 1, because of Dx9, which tridef requires at the moment. Got it all setup with razor hydra(positional tracking), 3d... pretty sweet. Works pretty well, but the frames could run faster. However, it gives a good repesentation on what the future will look like... Can't wait !
  5. Matt, any headway? Also, it looks Oculus is testing Oled screens for there prototypes... and they have decreased latency to around 15 ms. lastly the new proto has 6dof! Very neat stuff coming!
  6. Seems interesting if you want a full cockpit!
  7. More like 960x1080.... the vertical is not split, only horizontal. Plus, the screen will be smaller than the current 7 inch which will help use more pixels. I assume the consumer rift will use a 2160 screen, but if not, the 1080 will be usable since there will be positional tracking. Positional tracking would allow a person to move closer to the instruments, so reading them will not be an issue.
  8. You can only get so accurate building in wood.... my wood seat is very close to the real deal, but modded for sim use.
  9. A little off.. just tried it Be nice when the sdk is integrated....
  10. I assume you have no experience with the rift? Since I have had most setups including :touchscreen, full pit, single screen , triple screen, 5 projector cube, and any other setup... I will disagree 100%. The rift is like a portal that really brings a person to a different world, as if the you are really there... No other setup has that effect. The more time you have in the rift, the better it gets.... The motion vr issues go away with a short period of use. I can do a full f1 race with zero issues.
  11. Use the calibration utility - tools- update firmware- select firmware from the sdk folder when it pops up.
  12. Nice you got it quickly! I would try lunar flight, heli island, and Anterworld outerra demo to give you an idea of what the mig feels like in 3d. Make sure the firmware is updated to the latest 18. The warthog throttle is funky in Outerra, so use a simple profile to make it work correctly... Btw, I'm pretty excited this is moving forward and can't wait until Dk2!
  13. Mine is not, but it could be if I hooked it up...
  14. Hey guys, I have some new cushions in... military green. These are custom made and high quality. $129.00 per set plus shipping. Thanks, Flim
  15. lol, not a chance..... they are not the business of modding!
  16. At $60,000 ....lol I hope he can get some higher end contracts...
  17. I'm going to test out DCS as soon as I get the activation key.... I'll report back.
  18. Thanks, on the f-16... I still have some things to do, but I should have it done before to long. I was trying to finish up the lose ends on the A-10 pit first.
  19. update... btw yes above, there is a cover needed if you plan on using TM mfd's. Slowly getting there... had to work a lot this week, so it slowed the process...
