  1. I think so far 12 inches works well, but it all depends on what seat you use. In a case where your seat is higher, then you will need to build a base to raise the stick... I would not use any longer extension for throw reasons. The current setup is pretty realistic to most planes and helos.
  2. looks very nice and professional!
  3. Can't wait to get mine!!
  4. Ya, powder coated steel is nice, but a little overkill if your using a center stick...
  5. If you like, send me a pm and I can help you decide which way you want to go.
  6. Tack Ir sucks compared to the rift now ( sorry for my French ) ! I can see the keyboard fine, but it is near my lap. The latency is a non- issue for most demo's . The res is low, and we do need that fixed. If we get 1080p and positional tracking, then we are good to go!
  7. Well, nothing is free these days... I have a cable that I will throw in, PS2. Although they are cheap... like 1.95 on amazon.
  8. Hey guys, Once I finish the Uh-1 collective, I'm going to start working on the Su-27 Russian VRpit including grip and maybe throttles after that. The seat is pretty easy for me since that is what I'm good at, but I think we can do a decent 3d printed grip as well. My thought is to print the grip in 3 sections and glue them together forming the entire grip. I would love for it to attach to the hog and I think we can get a board made to do the switch logic. I'll keep this updated as the project evolves and any pics, info, and or thoughts will help. Matter of fact, do need some info on how the trigger works for the 27 grip...? We also can talk about the best way to connect custom grips to the hog base.
  9. I will send the part number... McMaster Carr Is 9 bucks plus shipping. I'm looking at getting bent shafts made; totally exchangeable.
  10. Crazy video! I was just testing outtera and the Mig29... Wow! The 3d pit is pretty impressive, like you are actually in the plane. The Outtera boys did a good job with the rift implementation, but Dcs would be so much better.....crickets
  11. The seat will be cheaper then the Aces... Also smaller light box for shipping. The collective will be more time consuming on my side, not sure of the price yet.
  12. Hopefully next week I will have a working prototype...
  13. Don't plan on it... The welding takes a lot of time and is heavy to ship. I'm using the wood now myself and works just as well.
  14. That sounds nice of the DDD guys...
  15. Also, if you do not want springs... I will sale the upper and lower adapter for $60 ($30 each) plus shipping. You can always buy the spring adapter later if you want to add springs.
  16. Well, I can print the two adapters (upper /Lower), add a shaft, and you are good to go... no springs. I would do those 2 parts for $60 ( $30 each)- you can get a shaft for $12 or less. That way if you ever decide to add springs then I can send you the spring adapter later.
  17. I was looking into custom made shafts, need to look further...
  18. Uh... Me! Lol If you haven't seen, my thread is in the foe sell section.
  19. That is my next project... Russian Ejection seat. I need some good pics, or some info and I will start working on it pretty quick. I would also like to do a Grip mod for the warthog.
  20. Need folks that have a rift to sign up and test! Also, does tridef work with Dcs?
  21. The side console mounts will come separate because it takes another sheet of material to cut that I don't have that budgeted in the seat kit. They will be priced fairly... I Should have that option out this weekend along with the Huey seat kit. The Huey seat kit will be $289 plus ship. The official announcement will be on the Huey seat collective thread later on.
  22. Awesome, yes a real container will fit.
  23. btw, I'm providing all the screws and cable ... you only need (4) clevis attachments, springs, and 12 inch alum shaft. I would say $40 to $50 with shipping.
  24. Well, my only answer to to make a base like on the hog and attach it to the cougar. I'm not sure if the springs will clear the base though. I guess you can always get the parts and if they won't work for the cougar, then will give you a good reason to get a hog! lol
  25. Updated kit info on first page 2 kits ready now...
