I recently got back into flying the hog after a year of so of just strictly hornet flying. While I was not really great at it to begin with I have forgotten a lot. But I for the life of me can't seem to figure out what I am doing wrong entering coordinates into the CDU or trying to create a new way point. I get CDU imput error.... I have watched 3-4 vids on youtube and flipped threw the manual and am copying it to the letter. I was flying the first mission of The Enemy with in 3.0. And right after the bomb goes off they give me coordinates 37TGG 340 792 I enter it in with no spaces and Error....it has me pulling my hair out! I know this has likely been asked a million times, but can any one pint me in the right direction ?

I finally got a decent HOTAS and so I am revisting the Hog.... I feel ya. SPI SOI MARK points and the functionality of each sensor does something a little different. What I did was created several of my own little training missions focusing on various aspects of the sensors. Missions for the mavrics and chaining them to fire 6 mavs in 10 seconds causes some serious mental gymnastics.

I was wondering if any one knows how to change the the rudder flapper stwithes on the throttle from axis to buttons. Ralphidude said you could but I am not sure how. I use the stick twist for rudder so my idea was to use them as modifies and triple the hats on the joystick.

Thankx. I was suprised to find that most stuff mapped automatically after plugging the stick and throttle in. The Hornet was nearly fully mapped. The Hog... still tinkering with that.

So I am bumping it up from a Thrustmaster Hotas X.... after over 1000 hours in DCS I figured it was about time to get a more dedicated HOTAS. I wanted a Warthog but I would have had to convince the hubby that I need to spend nearly 500 bucks on this sim Hotas and rudder peddals and all. I decided a smaller upgrade was in order. Anyhow I got the TM T.16000 after watching Ralfidude and Jabbers reviews for it and long story short it arrives tomorrow. I was wondering if any one who has it could offer some suggestions on what I should map to the joy stick and throttle. I fly mostly the F\a 18c A10c KA-50 and Harrier in that order. .... Create a fast mission with all medium units. That will tell you how well your pc will run DCS. the training mission only have a handful of AI planes and vehicals. Get into a decent sized mission and see what that does.

I have had the same problem. It is like the Hornet is waddling( best description I can come up with) it has happened to me twice now.

Yeah I been doing it like that I got my wire crossed and coulda swore I saw em doing it in a Grim reapers video.

Oh, I can slave the IR mav to a waypoint by designating it as target on the HSI. I thought we could do the same with the targeting pod.

How do you slave the TGP to way points and SA page ? I just started to get into the SA page and I am having trouble figuring that out.

This is why I am not buying the F16 for a few years. I broke my general rule of not buying anything in early access(This isn't specific to DCS just games in general) . But I bought the F-18 to support ED because I like DCS so much..... But I got to say I got very angry when I saw the Viper reveal.... here I am sitting here with an 80 dollar plane that is developing at a snails pace. I have spent over 400 dollars on DCS( I don't buy the modules on sale purposefully) But if this is going to be the way of it. Releasing things half finished before finishing the things you already have then I am going to have to start sitting on my money.

Is this a free update since I already own the black shark ?

Any word when we will beable to mark ground targets with jhmcs? Or is that coming with atflir? It is one of my most anticipated features.

You would think it would be the first place to start. I have played through all of them 10-15 times...at least.

Are you saying that you can't lock them up in BVR mode ? or Bore sight ? Are you sure you are using the correct missile ? at the correct ranges. Like the side winder is a short range missile the aim 7 sparrow is a with in 10 mile missile and the amraam are up to 30 miles with radar. If your not at the right ranges with the right weapon you will not get the shoot ques or lock ons. Also sometimes when I TDC depress the radar will zero in on it I then have to it the ENTER key to actually lock it up( I have it mapped to my joystick) some times I do sometimes I don't I havn't figured out why that is yet.

Ah, thanx it worked like a charm. I don't understand, if it is as simple as a LUA tweek why ED hasn't done it already. The TGP on center line dosn't seem to be a common load out for the f-18. In most of the pictures I can find of it, it is loaded on the cheek mount not the center line.

I have put like 200 hours into the hornet and still havn't seen the end of the content you can dig up for this thing.

Actually no I don't understand. I am a firm believer in " finish what you started" I LOVE the Hornet I fly it almost exclusively now. as such I would like to see it finished....I mean 80 dollars and all.

Hmmm, I am having a problem in the cauccus map. Kobuleti registers as Batumi. In voice attack it even registers that I am saying Kobuleti..... Like I will say Kobuleti Colt 1-1 Inbound...... Colt 1-1 Batumi fly heading 130 for 20... I am not sure if it is a bug. Also does any one have a tutorial on how to change some of the phrases. I want to change some to how I actually speak.
