Thanks...Thought that might be the case based on the file sizes. I've been wanting to learn livery making anyway, so no time like the present....

Spoke to Schorch and he's struggling to figure out the B-52 liveries. Anybody got any ideas?

ADMIRAL189'S CORNER - INCOMING SHIP MODELS
RichCotte replied to Admiral189's topic in Static/AI Mods for DCS World
Awesome work Sir! -
No, sorry, I don't have a download link for them.

Has anyone had any luck correcting the B-52H Liveries that @scorch71 and @bns130 posted to the Users Files back in 2023? I've been able to resurrect the B-1B, S-3B, and Abrams liveries that I have, but can't get the B-52s to work.

VSN flyable aircraft mods
RichCotte replied to razo+r's topic in Flyable/Drivable Mods for DCS World
I'm having a similar issue with F-35. I can load as AI, but if set as client or player, I can't spawn into the aircraft, it only loads as AI. -
Exactly!

Current google earth imagery is marked as 2022 and it looks almost exactly like it did in 2004. So, if this is meant to provide a backdrop for a wide variety of conflicts, ranging back to the Iran/Iraq war and before, the it certainly should not appear to be built up and updated with modern construction. As much as I enjoy the scenery from 15K, looking down on everything, it's also fun to fly over places, or get down in a vehicle and visit places I've been before. When I do and it looks nothing like what it should, it's very immersion breaking.
-
I posted this in another location and was asked to bring the issue here: I fully understand that the map is in early access, but I wonder why ED is wasting time, effort, and processing power to artificially populate areas of a map that should be mostly vast, uninhabited desert, with small pockets of population. The area that I call out in my other post lies around 34-04-43N 44-35-23E. This is the old Camp Ashraf and FOB Grizzly area north of Baghdad and east of Balad. Flying over it and seeing this massively populated area, where there should be open desert, farmlands, and some weapon storage bunkers breaks the immersion aspect of the map. I know others complain about the vast emptiness, but that's the reality of the region.
-
That makes perfect sense an dis 100% understandable. My only question there is why do you waste time, effort, and processing power to overpopulate areas that are in reality VERY sparsely populated. I'll move my concerns over to the Bug thread.
-
Will do! Thanks

I asked the year question above. You're correct, the amount of work to produce generational maps would be intense and way more than what we should expect. Many people complain about the vast, flat openness, and lack of details on maps like this, but the fact of the matter is that this part of the world has a LOT of vast, flat, open, empty desert, with tiny pockets of civilization. It would be have that represented accurately verse having cities/industrial areas placed artificially where they don't belong.
-
What is going on with the crazy volume of construction cranes and industrial buildings in the region near the old Camp Ashraf/FOB Grizzly? This area should be primarily open desert with a small pockets of buildings, surrounded by farmlands and a large weapons storage bunker complex to the north.

Probably already answered, but I haven't found it yet... What is the timeline of this map? What year, or time period does it represent?

Hi res skins wanted for jolly Roger’s, ideally for CVN73
RichCotte replied to markturner1960's topic in F/A-18C
What about liveries that leave out the carrier assignment? Then, it wouldn't matter what ship you use them with? I know it's not real, but would be less immersion breaking than to me than seeing liveries wtih ship names that aren't even available in game... -
Looking great @Beldin Glad to see you back around.

Bump...Any updates to this mod?

OVGME No Longer Working After Latest DCS Update? (with the fog) Any fix?
RichCotte replied to CommandT's topic in DCS Modding
Works fine for me. -
I’ve been working on an Incirlik template for Desert Storm, but I can’t find very many liveries for Torejon F-16’s. There are several old ones that no longer work, so hoping some one can either bring them up to current version, or create new ones.

Military Assets for DCS by Currenthill

As a native English speaker, I agree with what CH requested. But, seriously folks, it only takes a couple seconds to copy and paste into Google Translate. It's a simple work around, if you really want to know what they're saying. Maybe, the OP has a reason for posting in their native language. -
Can't wait to see her!!!!

cannot produce and mssing track file AI Taxi Process?
RichCotte replied to RichCotte's topic in Bugs and Problems
I’ll save tracks next time I’m working it. This is all AI, no player aircraft involved. I’ve seen something similar, but the issue seems to be the order that they depart the parking location. Sometimes 4 doesn’t move and jams up one of the ones coming from the aft deck. Other times, 11 slips forward a few feet, blocking access to CAT 1.
