  1. I had this, then realised I forgot to set their fuze.
  2. From the UFC control I can only get to attitude hold and altitude hold. Is heading hold missing, I'm being dumb and can't find it, or the real plane doesn't have it?
  3. So, in the loadout diagrams earlier in this thread it shows you can put a C-701 on every wing pylon. But in game they are not available for the inner wing pylons, only outer. What's up with that?
  4. I admire your attitude and usually I try to do the same for immersion (to the extent my physical setup allows), but this is one where I mapped the relevant OSBs to HOTAS :lol:

  6. Fair enough. I asked mostly in case I was doing something wrong (always possible) or it's intended to be realistically unreliable. Good to know though. Having said that, you can hit a vehicle in area track without much problem so it's not too bad, just annoying. Looking forward to the fix.
  7. The pod is great overall, but I'm having trouble getting it to point track. Sometimes it goes to point track first time, other times I am spamming the lock button, chaning zoom, wiggling the crosshair a bit and nothing, never goes to point track. Seems quite random as well, when it wants to point track something and when it doesn't. Any tips to make this more reliable?

It may even be that having it perfectly in line with the aircarft would cause the breech to stick out below the belly in an unacceptable way to cause extra drag, or the fire to come too close to the nose for comfort. In any case I assume it's a physical space design issue not any assumptions about role and how it will be used.
  9. Is there actually no way to read back the frequency you're transmitting on after you've set it?
  10. Hmm... I'm being dumb here. I was messing with this just in freeflight so I didn't have the pod to slave. I pick a waypoint in Nav mode, then when I switch to AG the box showing the waypoint disappears from the HUD. In pre-set missions there's a diamond showing the SPI. How do I "slave" the HUD to show me the SPI diamond?

  12. That makes sense, a quick switch between chaff and flare is what I was after. Would be tempted to "cheat" and map that OSB to HOTAS in that case.

  15. Sorry if this has been asked before, but in my controls setup lots of stuff just has dark boxes in the columns for my joystick and throttle. I can set keyboard commands fine, but it seems we can't assign half the functions to our controllers? Even quite crucial stuff like Eject? Is this a know bug?
  16. The switches for FCS AA/AG and AG1/AG2 modes please. Don't want to be fiddling with clicking those when I just dropped tanks and need max G available for a dogfight.
  17. I'm completely baffled by all the options on the "special" options page. Is there a tutorial yet, or simple explanation somehwere of how to use it to set up chaff and flare programs?
  18. So if you just set it to 199 and slave it should show all AWACS data by default? Nothing more to do?
  19. Also aren't there 40+ possible waypoints? I guess in most quick MP flyouts most people won't use more than 2 or 3, just use numbers nobody else is and remember what you picked I guess.
  20. Ah OK. You mean T1 not S1 though I assume. I was saving buttons by using the "Master mode next" binding which is not a real HOTAS button but lets you cycle the positions of T1 with a single button instead of mapping it properly. Seems I have to map more...
  21. Follow-up question, how do I EXIT DFGT mode? I thought it would be S1_press to return to previous mode, but that doesn't work. Neither does any direction of S1 or the Master Mode switch, plane is just stuck in DGFT :(
  22. That doesn't sound great... MP would be the main use for this feature. In SP you can edit all the waypoints in the mission editor, it's in MP where this would be really powerful to not have to spend 10 minutes at the start of a flyout punching co-ordinates in.
  23. How does this work in MP with multiple JF-17s trying to set different routes? Do you need to add some syntax to the mark or does it know which marks are yours?
  24. Don't have the Hermes mod but I operated the F-14 from the Kuznetsov just for giggles. Didn't kneel the nose wheel, had no issues with retracting the landing gear, or Jester punching out. Should be similar to Hermes in that it's a ski-jump, but it is a much bigger ship. Were you sinking towards the sea after coming off the ramp? Also damn that power to weight... the Kuz take-offs are easier in the F-14 than the Su-33 if anything!
