  1. Hi, Not really sure where to ask this, but I have been playing https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3338654/ which is a lot of fun. I amended the date to 2024 and also removed weapon restrictions, but I am having a scripting issue in the Apache. As soon as the Hellfire (both laser and radar) blows up a target I get the script error. If I only damage the target its ok. If I kill a solider its ok. My mate uses a KA50 3 and doesnt have this issue, or with the F16 he uses. I also use the F18 and dont have issues with that, seems to be only the Apache. Repeating the testing in other missions with the Apache and its all ok. I didn't use this mission prior to the latest update so not sure if its related. I don't know what this script error means and wondered if anyone has any pointers? Thanks

Hi, Not really sure if there is a mod or anything in the mission editor that might do this, but I am looking for something that when you have a group of AI, say a bunch of tanks all parked close together in a field, then you take one of them out the other ones will move about a bit then stop. It would be nice if it was more realistic where they would try to hide near a building or in some trees, or leave the area completely. I am sure there is a config setting somewhere that tells the AI to scatter x distance, can this be changed by a lot? Disperse under fire option doesnt help when set high... Is there anyway to do this? Thanks
  5. Cool thanks I don't have the miz but can replicate if needed, however it was a dawn strike, just as the sun was visible over the horizon, in mid December and temps where around 15c I think it was. I would assume any warming during the previous day would have gone by morning.
  6. Hi, Was flying PG last night being very impressed with the new lighting. However using FLIR things like water, electric pylons etc where glowing when using WHOT. Is this right?
  7. Thanks I will have a play with that tonight, I assume he can still find and lock targets really quickly, it's just identifying them takes a bit longer? If that's the case are there plans to make him less effective at finding targets and locking them so quickly? Might be good to time a human CPG vs George and tweak it so its more of a match. Just an idea
  8. I must have missed this, where in the editor is this as I would love to make him more realistic. It's not until you do CPG work yourself that you realize just how amazing George is compared lol

I don't know if you have come across this situation where you see a bunch of vehicles hidden in the trees, some of them are close to the edge making them easier to spot, so you fire your hellfires and they hit the trees instead of the vehicles, causing no damage... You see that they are not an air threat so you move in closer and switch to guns and blow them up, through the trees. I guess bullets can get through trees but firing a hellfire which is capable of taking out a building doesn't harm the tree or the vehicle.... I know this isn't an Apache issue but makes you laugh none the less
  10. Funny you say that, last night I thought maybe a slow creep forward would be better for firing from, then banking left or right and going again as hoover is just a nightmare at the moment.

Now that seat swapping is available in MP its better because I let George do the hovering and transition in and out of a hover, and I like doing CPG stuff, however if you suddenly come under attack whilst in CPG George is useless at getting out of the area/avoiding the incoming fire so you have to jump back into the Pilot seat, but most of the time this results in a crash if your hovering low as for some reason the engine torque seems very low, like 30-50%, and it just drops as not enough time to recover back up to get it moving from the hover. Also when George does a sharpish turn he also drops from the sky as he has the torque over 100 and keeps it there... These are specific situations though, general flying, slow in and out of hovering and easy turning he is fine, its just when you need to be more eager due to the situation he falls apart. So in summary I don't enjoy being a Pilot as its still a pain to fly, plus the SAS constantly going off is annoying, and being CPG is good provided your far enough away from the enemy and your gentle with George.
  12. Yeah that is the mode I was in with 0 altitude, but I only gave him a short time to land, which he didn't, so jumped in the back. I will leave it longer and see what happens...
  13. Hi, This might have been covered before but I couldn't see when searching, but when in the CPG seat and George is flying how do you get him to land? What I do is set the altitude to 0 then jump in the Pilot seat and land myself, but is there a better way? Thanks
  14. We have the VKB Gladiator. What works best for me is letting George fly and I take the CPG seat. George is able to hold a hover perfectly lol

I got it on pre-release but I don't bother using it anymore, not until it''s easier to fly as I find it a nightmare transitioning in and out of a hover, also trying to keep it level whilst going to the target is difficult, you can't do hands free anymore, its all over the place, the attitude hold used to keep it stable. My mate also has the apache and the same hotas as me and has the same issues. We both prefer using the KA. The Blackhawk is definitely the nicest flying helo in the game but does have a lot of tech keeping it stable. Hopefully with some tweaks and updates the apache will be a lot better.
  16. I have just downloaded TTI missions and been playing Causaus a lot, but moving to PG my plane/helo doesn’t work. For example on Caucaus I can use the 18 and Apache fine, my CPU is about 40% and Memory is 80% and FPS in VR is 45fps. Swapping to PG I get the same stats, however when going to full afterburner to take off in the 18 it doesn’t accelerate. The burner is on but it slowly moves forward. I get weird issues in the apache as well. When taking off the stick moves in the cockpit but the helo doesn’t move. Also the engine over revs but my throttle is at the bottom. I assume something in the scripting is off as my resources are ok, but does anyone else have this issue with PG? I can fly my normal missions or liberations missions in PG no problem. I asked a friend to try the apache and he had the same issues.

  18. Testing done and its user error, must have got the KC135’s mixed up, but KC135 MPRS works fine with the 18. Thanks for the info guys.
  19. Yeah I did all the precontact stuff. I can refuel using the 130 I just had issues with the 135. I will try the 135 MPRS again later and see what happens. Thanks
  20. You sure, the MPRS has a boom out the back and little pods on wings which Is for the baskets? I tried that one as well, radio worked but no basket was deployed? I was within 1m off the back and probe was out on the 18 ready for fuel.
  21. The 18 uses a basket, KC135 deploys a basket. This tanker also works with the F14 which also uses a basket, but in the 18 I had no reply on comms so its not compatible?? The 14 and 18 were in the same mission using the same freq. Is anyone with an 18 able to test the KC135?
  22. At the moment I prefer the KA50, I just find it easier to fly, the 64 is a pain in the **** when trying to slow down to a hover, its so twitchy and all over the place, but once in a hover its just as good as the KA.
  23. Hi, Whenever I radio call the KC135 to refuel nothing happens. KC130 works fine. When a friend uses his F14 with the KC135 he has no issues so wondering if this is broken or not compatible with the 18? I have only just started A2A refueling practice so not sure if the 18 works with the KC135? Ps this isn't the MPRS model with the boom. Thanks

  25. Once below 5kts the ATT and ALT holds do a good job of holding a hover, the problem for me is getting it below 5 as its very twitchy
