BBC is now saying they have evidence of the F15E being shotdown. They claim it was this dude http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3395744

nvm wrong thread... Huh, did the 2 threads about libya get merged ???

both pilots recovered, blaming it on mechanical failure, no mention of hostile action. I suspect machanical failure after it got hit by something, whether AAA or Sams or birds.

OMG Sea Harrier pic Rejected, somebody needs their fingers rapped.

TBH, I dont see what the big deal is ? the dude uploaded the entire movie minus the music, GA is still named as the maker at the end of the video, the dude who posted it is just advertising the game and what it looks like and where to buy serials from, which in all liklihood can be legitimate, I have no idea if they are legit or not, but he hasnt exactly "ripped" GA's movie, he just reuploaded it to utub with different music like millions of other utub videos. I see it as an ad, the dude puts the video up on youtube as an ad for people to goto that site to buy a serial for it. If it is a legit site then I really dont see the Big deal about why their is a thread 4 pages long dedicated to the subject of GA's video being ripped. I might be missing something, if I am please share, but I really dont see this as the big deal that everyone else seems to think it is. Afterall, he isnt saying "He" made it is he ? IF the site isnt legit, then thats another case entirely... However, the little fuxer has totally ruined it with dum ass music and that in itself is unforgivable.

Yea thats what usually happens, muliple IFR, I dont think I have ever heard of them landing or taking off elsewhere to do a job, unless an emergency dictated it.

As far as I am aware, B2's only operate from US soil, mainland US and Guam I think it is. Thats whats I am led to believe, however I could be wrong ?

BBC ticker saying "France denies reports of warplane shot down". Fingers crossed that no plane other than the one earlier today has been shot down.

Germany is taking this too far, they have shutdown 7 nuke plants, what for ? Absolutely no need for it, its a knee jerk reaction which doesnt help anyone, well maybe help the Gov and Power companies get more money from the public due to higher power bills, and it gives the media more ammunition to start airing scare stories of how bad Nuclear Power is for the world and how germany has temporarily closed their stations because of it etc, when infact it is a highly safe industry with the few obvious exceptions. What is happening in Japan is likely confined to the immediate area surrounding the plant and will probably remain like that, ok that's bad enough, but its not going to turn America or Europe into a irradiated wasteland and all this TV reports of people on the west coast of america buying up stocks of iodine is absolutely retarded. I was reading on another website how some company boss in california tried to buy iodine tablets for his workers, when he couldnt get any because they had all been bought already, he went out and purchased bloody seaweed for everyone instead. OMG its the end of the world, lets eat seaweed!!!
-
I think that image has been made just to scare americans into thinking that they are at risk of huge doses of radiation when its likely that if anything, the radiation will be very minimal if it reaches them at all.

Hassata, my old cat used to do that, it was grey coloured aswell, the cause for my cat was heart failure causing lack of oxygen, it was exactly like the cat in the video, but he suffered from it for a few years before he passed. I suspect that the cat in the video is suffering something similar ?

Not sure if this is true, but listening to bbc news today, the Japanese Emperor said somethign about the quake being 9.7. I havent been keeping in the loop as I have been busy all day, but has the strength of the quake shot up from 9.0-9.1 all the way to 9.7 ?

Japan news is reporting that the last 2 reactors at the site, which has 6 in total, and which 3 were shutdown for maintenance when the quake/tsunami struck, the temps in them are rising, reactors 5 and 6. a pic below of now and during WW2, scarily similar...
-
When did that happen ? right now ? As far as I am aware, this is the situation. Reactor 1, roof blown off in first explosion Reactor 3, roof blown off in second explosion Reactor 4, fire, supposedly been put out. Reactor 2, third explosion which has damaged/ruptured the suppression tank/pool. No fourth explosion has taken place I dont think ? unless it has just this minute happened ??? but BBC is showing Sport news and so is SKY, hmmm.
-
I think they said that the increased radiation is coming from the fire in reactor 4, old fuel burning ? I have no idea what the situation really is, but one station said that the radiation seems to be rising from the fire in reactor 4. Now whether that is true or not and the rad is coming from reactor 2 instead, I have absoluetly no idea.

Yea I agree with you, that giving enough money every house on the planet near enough could have its own small windmill for generating power and solar panels, or one or the other depending where about in the world you are and land set aside for greener alternatives, whatever they maybe. But the problem is funding, no government would do it because it would be a huge expenditure and once everything has been setup, they would have no income, as people would have no energy bills to pay and the Gov's would have no energy company to tax. If the world was detemined to do it, it could be done, but governments have to fund it and that is where it will stick. Maybe now the fight for a reliable, safe new energy source can begin again in ernest ? as I suspect that every country will now be having debates about their own nuclear industry. Thanks for the rep ;)
-
Oh yea, the waste is the problem part of nuclear energy, no country knows exactly what to do with it in the long term, they say we will bury it or we will do this with it etc, but nobody really has a clue asto what they really want to do with it, hoping that future generations will figure out the answer. The problem is that whilst greener alternatives and normal fuel alternatives are available, compared to nuclear, they are extremely expensive and in the case of newer greener types, they are not a real viable alternative because they dont produce enough electricity to take over the jobs of either oil/gas/coal burning power stations and hydro electric. I just pray that what has happened in Japan has been contained, but it doesnt look like it has, workers being evacuated from the plant, rising radiation. Japan doesnt deserve this, no country does. 1.02 here

I am hearing now that 17 US servicemen who were on a helicopter 100 miles out to sea have been zapped, they only found out when they landed on the US carrier that they had mid levels of radiation on their clothing as sensors on the carrier picked it up, and supposedly they werent anywhere near fukushima, I have no idea if thats been verified or not ? But saying all this, I am still a proponent of Nuclear Power, as it is remarkably safe energy option given the huge amounts of electricity it has generated over the years and, the huge number of reactors all over the world thats in operation today. A huge quake, multiple smaller quakes in the ranges of 6 and 7.0's, a tsunami and 2 huge explosions and yet the reactor confinement on all reactors is still intact, superb if you ask me, as this shows that the worst case scenario that is ever likely to happen to a nuke power plant, well a western one that is, whatever happens, its extremely unlikely to breach them. This could turn out to be the Japanese Dunkirk, victory snatched from the jaws of defeat ? which could then be shown around the world as advert on how safe nuclear reactors are, especially newer ones which have newer/better safety systems compared to something that is 40 years old.
