I have had the vanilla 52 and the pro and I must say that I really like them, however that being said, my Thrustmaster warthog is on the back of a delivery van and on its way to me as I type this :) so I am hoping that it was worth it, as I am really used to my x52's, great sticks for the cost, nobody can go wrong, if you take the time to learn how to program it, it will do everything you need more or less. The only gripe I have about the 52s are the slider, its jerky and jumps about, easy fix via deadzones, thats about it, oh that and the lightness of the stick movement, but you get used to that no problem. As long as you have all your joystick zones setup correctly for yourself, then the x52s are great sticks for the price. Both types of x52 have the twist rudder, it can be locked incase you have pedals so that the stick wont turn.

Ok, I looked last night and I cannot be 100% sure which one it was, but the border area between georgia and russia, the few airbases in that immediate area was where it happened. It happened when I came off the runway and onto the taxiway, and the angled corners of the taxiway trapped me, my nose wheel sunk into the concrete and I could see grass poking out of the piece that had me stuck and throttling up and down wouldnt shift it. I think Nalchik was the one but I cannot be 100% sure, but its one of the bases not that far from the border on either side, it has to be one with angled taxiway corners, not smooth rounded corners that have been added to some airbases. looks similar to this pic I drew. In the pic I was heading east along the runway and turned onto the taxiway at the end of the runway and got trapped as it started to turn left, main gear hadnt got onto the corner yet, it was still on the straight, it was only the front gear that go caught up. In game however, I am sure when I was landing that I was either on a East or a South heading, one of the two, both are very rough descriptions from memory.

I think the grip in the middle is to control the pod underneath the KA52, like move it up and down and sideways etc. I would love for ED to model this bird in Blackshark, it just looks sooo lovely and clean looking on the inside compared to the KA50.

I notice that some runways have grass that looks like concrete, had just landed yesterday, taxi'ing back to the stand and as I came off the runway and was following the line in the centre of the taxiway, I got stuck, I could see grass poking out of the concrete and nothing i could do would move the hog :( Hopefully this gets fixed in the patch as fair enough getting stuck on the actual grass, but getting stuck on the taxiway is a pain in the ass.

Try using Internet Explorer. As my payment info and serial are missing if I use Firefox to login to the DCS website, I get the white screen also in firefox, however if I use Internet Explorer all the info is there. So I just use IE instead of FF to login to DCS website now. I can still use Firefox for the lockon website. Adding a 1 to the end of my username didnt do jack shizznit.

Although I already have a win7 sp1 disc which I havent yet used, but was going to this week after I formatted, I decided to try the download version, much to my surprise it was only 88mb for me and only took 5 minutes to download and install. Its all good so far, no problems noticed, its only a bunch of previous windows updates rolled into a service pack, as far as I know their is no new tweaks to the OS as a whole, so the sp1 should be good to go for everyone. Kuky if you have a technet account or access to one, the redistributable and the intergrated win7+sp1 dvd images are available to download.

Thanks for the pic's ;) You have done a great job so far in making the Alpha Jet, I have a soft spot for the AJ, that and the BAE Hawk, small and nimble aircraft and I bet they are great fun to fly.

Depending on your needs, then the 2500k bundles should do, but if you want lots of memory then go for the 1366 bundles. If your only intent is browsing the internet, watching movies etc and playing games then the 2500k is perfect for you. But if you actually use your rig for hardcore shit, then maybe the i7 950 with support for 24gig of ram would be a better bet. Personally I would go for the 2500k just now as its cheaper and then upgrade in a years time when the 2500k and 2600k's daddy is released. If you are not buying yet, then keep your cash if you can til after summer and you will get the new cpu's that everyone is waiting for, the daddy to the baby 25/26k's.

You forgot to add, with that package comes a dose of Liver killing Hepatitis C and god knows what all else considering all the dodgers that have been through her. I wouldnt even touch that minger with your's, thats how bad she is. It would be like "Grab an infected Granny night" at your local boozer.

enable Antialiasing if that doesnt work, then next to AA setting, pick the Override any application setting option and then below that add your AA amount, that should work in any game. But usually you should just leave the AA setting at Application Controlled and then set the AA amount ingame in the options menu, if the game has such a setting that is, if whatever game hasnt got that option, then you do what I suggested above, select override any application setting and then set AA to 4x or 8x etc. Also, force on Vysnc, dont leave it to the application setting, force that baby on. here is my setting, although I havent downloaded A10 yet, so I do not know if it has an AA option ingame, all the other sims from Ed dont, so if thats still the case with A10, then you will need to use override for you to get rid of the jaggies.

If you have the money the UK army is selling off a Lynx Simulator, all in working condition and ready to be bought.

Update. Since having these drivers, my monitor would shutdown when watching videos in media player classic, once it shutdown it wouldnt come back on and I would have to reboot. Couldnt figure out what the cause was, but it continued to do it, I tried a few things, all failed, lastly i reinstalled the previous drivers and bingo the monitor stopped shutting down. Conclusion, I think the drivers were either making the gpu overheat without making the fan kick in properly ( keeping fan in 40% idle mode ) when in lo 3d mode, and also 3d gaming mode, the gpu overheated and shut down only in lo 3d mode, as I noticed the temps in arma and did an emergency shutdown before the gpu cut out.. I noticed when I played arma that my gpu was at 107oC, the HIGHEST I have ever seen my gpu, normally it would never go higher than 84oC. I changed driver and everything back to normal. So for those using the new drivers I would watch your temps in lo 3d mode and in 3d gaming mode as I am positive the drivers nearly killed my card.

I know this is an old thread, but I vote none of the above, Regarding the Poll. If any Aircraft out of those in the poll is goign to be modelled by ED, you can Bet it will be the f16. The rest will be too classified for the info ed needs to be able to make the sim. Plus I think their is far better AC out there to get first but Ed wont do them, as those ones that I think are better are not in service thus wont be modelled by Ed, which I think is a bad idea, but I dunno, maybe they have got things figured out for the next 10 years ? EDIT: Scratch that, I thought I saw the F16 in the Poll, but its the F14 instead, which is out of service and wont be modelled either :( Make a Buccaneer and that will keep me happy :)

I will say the shark, as I prefer helos to anything with fixed wings, however I am partial to anythign with a ground attack radar. Wait 10 years and their wont be any pilots flying the A10 :) as they have come up with an unpiloted version, so Combat Pilot Magazine says.
