Is Mitches Skins included ? as I never got those to work, i ended up with a partly invisible helo, so I gave up, but it would be cool if we could get his skins added if they are not already ?

Right click on an empty part of your desktop and then select Nvidia Control Panel, or you can enter it via your computer control panel, but doing it via the desktop is the quickest way. At the top under the View option select Advanced Then select "Use Advanced 3D Image Settings" In the right hand pane select "Manage 3D Settings" Now, Look for "AntiAliasing-Mode" and set it to "Override Any Application Setting",without having it set to Override, you wont be able to force AntiAliasing on in Blackshark, so you NEED to have it set to Override. Then That will open up a setting directly below that called "Antialiasing-Setting" set that to anything from disabled to the lowest setting which is 2x all the way upto 16xQ, 4x will be good for you, even 8x will work, but 4x will be good and get rid of your jaggies. You also have further Antialiasing settings, "Antialiasing-Gamma Correction" and also "Antialiasing-Transparency" Your card should be able to handle "4x for Antialiasing-Setting, with Gamma Correction enabled and Transparency Multisampling enabled", SuperSampling for Transparency is hard on the video card depending on the type of game, a 8800gt isnt the strongest of cards nowadays even though they are still great cards, but supersampling isnt the best option for this game, it will slow down your video card and not produce that much of a difference in picture IQ, best to stick with Multisampling. I have found that with supersampling enabled, if you look closely their is diagonal lines going across the ground, that only happens with supersampling enabled, so I suspect that their is a clash somewhere with the video drivers and the game engine when it comes to Supersampling since it is a newish technology/option on video cards. If your game runs good with those settings and with 16xAnisotropicFiltering then I would try 8x Antialiasing and see if the game was still smooth, you DONT need to go higher than 8x That should get you up and running. If your wondering why I went overboard with the bold text, I did it to a couple of things and decided to do it for everything else since I was bored :)

Will it contain a fix for False Accusations of Commiting Fratricide ? As I am getting sick of it now, its beyond a joke, anytime you get your Pilots log upto a half decent score the "You have commited Fratricide and will lose all of your Pilots score" bug will show its face and wipe your scores clean again. I am making this thread because it just happened to me just now, their was no Friendlies on the map at all, only me and my wingman who I ordered back to base as he got hit a few times and I sent him back to base as he was doing more harm than good, anyway I decided to carry on and take out some challengers and some warriors and a vulcan and humvee and some Strykers. I hit a few and then ran out of missiles and decided that I will get into the groove as I was tuned into the radio which I had some of my own songs playing, I got carried away with the music and decided to make a close in rocket pass which was stupid especially because their was so much armour still about, well needless to say I got shot in the face, I lost my tail and then my right engine and then left engine, so I got blow'd up. All my missiles hit the intended enemy armoured targets, my rockets could only hit the enemy as they were parked in a field and inline, I took 1 rocket pass before getting shot up and all my rockets hit the armour that was there and took out a few things but when I died I somehow committed fratricide evn though their was no friendlies about on the map at all and nor did I kill any moving vehicles or houses. So is this bug fixed in the patch because its annoying to get a good score only for it to be wiped due to something thats either a bug or very poorly understood by myself ??? AAR, when I had it set to my name, all my actions listed and not one of them mentioned anything other than taking off, killing a couple challengers and warriors and 1 vulcan and humvee and 2 or so strykers, it mentioned what missiles or rockets I fired and all those fired hit their intended targets, so what gives ?

Too many, I cant quite put a figure on it as I have had to reinstall the game a couple of times thus destroying the number of hours that is in my pilot log but saying that I would guesstimate at between 60-100 hours or maybe even more since 2 days after the game was released, I usually fly anywhere between 1-3 hours daily without fail.

Fly high when attacking targets in forests, cuz as you said, they can see you and fire through trees but you cant see them til your basically on top of them, so its best to be as high as possible taken the threats into consideration and then scan for the targets and kill them from up high. If their is radar guided SAM's in the area, then forget about going high and also forget about going low and looking for a target in a forest, or as its more commonly called, a needle in a haystack. If you just have IR SAM's and AAA to contend with then going as high as possible will more than likely be ok as you should get plenty of warning when an IR missile is launched at you and the flares easily make IR missiles lose track in this sim, well until the patch that is :( and AAA isnt likely to hit you in the first place as long as you are not hovering.

To replicate that, just buy any modern flight sim that contains flying buses, aka as passenger jets :) Some fly on AP from just after Take off to just after touchdown.

I am not sure but, I was online one day and I couldnt understand why the auto pilot wasnt working, the route mode and also if I recall the hover mode. The only thing that I think I did wrong was take off as soon as the engines were good to go, everything was turned on as it was quickstart takeoff, but I dont think I waited for 3 minutes, if it applies that is ? but on that flight many moons ago, route mode wouldnt work, it wouldnt even light up and I think the auto hover button did not work also. Those faults could of been something else entirely, but the only thing that I did differently on that flight was take off as soon as the engines were good to go and most if not all things being turned on whether on the ground or seconds after I took to the air. That problem never ocurred again as I always waited for a few minutes before takin off afterwards and also, if it was a bug then it would of affected the previous install that I had when I first came across that problem, but it only happened that once and as stated, the only thing I did differently from normal flights was that I didnt wait for a few minutes before takin off, I was too eagre to get into the air. I havent tried to see if that was the case for those functions not working, but it was/is the only thing I can think of.

What I am lead to believe is, that the actual dump and burn process does not produce extra thrust, but I spose having the afterburners on whilst dumping will make the plane go crazy fast and it will reach supersonic speeds if its going straight and level :) but the actual act of dumping fuel and igniting it doesnt make the plane go any faster. But it sure does look nice, and must be a crowd pleaser, I would love to see if for real myself but sadly I think those days are over :(

New nvidia drivers do the same to when for the very first boot into windows after I install them. never used to happen, it suddenly happend about 2 drivers ago, uninstalled, driver sweeper reboot and install and then when pc first boots into windows with the new driver BANG, it looks as though I have taken a whole bag of magic mushrooms, then it goes away on the next reboot.

RF13, some exe files can be extracted by winrar, they dont need to be in the .rar format. If you havent already tried and if you have winrar installed, then right click on the mod.exe file and select extract here. If it works it will extract the actual contents of the exe file and show you what made up the exe file. I used to do that with combofix and a few others, combofix comes as just 1 .exe file, but I used to select extract here with winrar and it would extract the contents of the ACTUAL exe file and show me what the exe file is made up of and what all it does/contain. The main thing is, it doesnt have to be .rar to be extracted, it can be .exe also, but not all .exe files can be extracted, only some. The drop in performance could be because your graphics card is allowed to use system ram to help ingames, now if you have installed any programs recently that are using ram and you do not close those programs before playing lockon then the system ram that was available before for your graphics card is no longer available thus your performance can suffer. It could also be your bios settings if you have changed them recently. As I said above, your graphics card supports using system memory to help with performance, some bioses have an option to assign more or less system memory to the graphics card, have you messed with that bios setting recently??? Also Upgraded video drivers may be worse than the previous set, so you can always download older drivers and use them, you can get nearly every older set of drivers that you need from www.guru3d.com But remember to use driver sweeper as that is VERY important. I doubt that your 6200 can give you 16xAA and 8xAF, seriosuly, I used to run sli 7800gtxs and couldnt get that and I run a 8800gtx now and cant get 16xAA and for it to be smooth. 8xAA and 16XAf is as much as I can do and my card kills your card, your video card is too underpowered for 8xAA, 4xAA maybe but definetly not 16 or 8xAA You can try different older drivers, but you wont get that much of a stable game with your card with anything higher than and I will take a guess and say 4xAA

Do you have the trackir device clipped to the left hand side of your monitor ? It isnt meant to be in the centre of your monitor if using the track clip pro. It is only meant to be in the centre if using the metal frame thing you use with hats, but if your using the track clip pro then the trackir device should be on the left hand side of your monitor as you are looking at it.

Yup, seen it many times before, but normally trains dont get to live that long when I am flying as I when I see one I automatically go into kill the fuhrer mode and from that moment on all trains are fair game :)

Are you sure that the mod exe file only contained just 2 files ??? Some exe files can be extracted with winrar for example, depending on the way the exe was made and if their is more than one file it may show it. If you have winrar installed, then right click on the mod exe and select extract here, it doesnt install the mod again, it will just extract the files that make up the exe so you can see what all it contained, now that doesnt work on all exe files, it only works on some, so you may or may not be able to extract the contents with winrar. Also, both of you, what Ingame settings do you have ? what is lockon game settings ? I now see the problem, your screenshots of "before and after" show me what you are suffering from. Also, I see in your nvidia control panel that you have enabled the crap optimisations, disable them as they make picture quality poor so that you get faster FPS, basically you increase FPS due to the fact that the graphics get worse. DISABLE Texture Filtering - mip map optimisation (disable that ) and Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimisation ( disable that ) Set Texture Filtering - from quality to HIGH QUALITY. ( change from its setting of quality to high quality ) Hopefully that will bring some changes, also take some screenshots of the new settings ingame and compare them with the pictures you posted of how lockon used to look for you. Also, just to add, I cant see your AA settings, but it should be set to OVERRIDE ANY APPLICATION SETTING and then you should set the level of AA that you want below that.

Ok, well if you do decide to scan it, you be VERY CAREFUL with it, and if scanning is going to cause any problems to it, then dont scan, we will understand ;)

My least wanted plane is the SU-25T, as we just got that with Flaming cliffs and I would be sad if ed released that soon, as it would be basically just another release of flaming cliffs. If ed do decide to release the 25t soon, i.e within the next couple of releases then I personally think that those who have flaming cliffs already should get the 25t addon for free since their isnt much that they could do to a dcs version of the 25t that isnt already in the flaming cliffs version, sure they can do some extra stuff to it, but not enough to make it a totally different experience than what it is already like in FC and not something that is worth $50, especially if you have fc. If Ed ever release a SU-25T, I think they should do it far far down the road, as it is far too soon to release another 25T at the moment in my opinion. I would like ED to release the english electric lightning as an addon or even the canberra bomber or the phantom or the sepecat jaguar and tornado if they start to release 2 seater aircraft.

Hmm, I do believe you are suffering from some type of problem, but what I dont know. Have you tried installing newer video drivers ? and if you did, did you uninstall the old ones first instead of just updating to newer drivers ? and the crucial and most important bit is, did you use driver cleaner or driver sweeper to get rid of any registry entries and left over files that are left over when uninstalling ? because if your graphics card drivers are the problem, if you just update drivers without uninstalling, or even if you uninstall the driver completly but dont use driver sweeper to clear out the left overs, the problem can be carried forward onto the new driver install. You probably already know how to do all of this, but incase you dont I will explain how to do it Download Driver Sweeper, Driver Sweeper is free from www.guru3d.com download area. Install driver sweeper, but dont use it just yet, it is only used when the pc is in safe mode. Uninstall your video drivers and then reboot your pc into safemode by pushing f8 as soon as your pc startsup and before it boots into windows., boot into safe mode, once in safe mode start driver sweeper and if the video card you have is nvidia, then select Nvidia display drivers, if the video card is ATI then select ati display drivers. IMPORTANT if you have an nvidia nforce chipset motherboard, dont select anything other than Nvidia display, because if you do you could end up removing your chipset drivers if you use an nforce chipset motherboard, so just select nvidia display driver and then push clean. Once you have pushed clean, reboot your pc back into normal windows, then reinstall the same or newer video drivers. Thats the proper way to change display drivers and to make sure that any problems you are suffering from dont follow you to a new driver. Hopefully that will fix your problem, if it doesnt, then I can only think that the mod you installed and uninstalled had clashed with another mod you have installed and its one of the other mods thats causing the problem, thats the only thing I can think of, maybe the mod you didnt like has overwritten files of your own mods thus the problems you are suffering. I hope that is not the case because it could take ages to find out what file/s have been overwritten/changed, I hope that its just a video card driver problem and the steps outlined above should cure it if it is a driver problem. Have you done a total uninstall and then reinstall of lockon ? at anypoint during those 9 hours of trying to fix the problem ?

their is a downloadable file telling you what all the manual covers http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=39994 Their sadly isnt any descriptions and 3d views and silhouette's of ingame vehicles/planes/boats etc which is a shame as that was one of the MAIN items in the manual that I would of liked, but I already knew all about or mostly knew about all the vehicles, but it would of been nice for silhouette views for them all. I know the manual costs a fair bit, but the shipping was £8 I think, but they only used I think it was £3.50 worth of stamps to send it to me, so the shipping was only £3.50 in my case evn though I paid £8 for it, so the extra fiver could of been used for object descriptions and pictures/silhouettes etc :) I dont mind about the shipping costs and I am not moaning about it as the manual is a great read and I think its well worth the 19 quid i paid for it but it would of been EVEN better had it been made into a proper book instead of spiral bound, as spiral bound nearly always results in a few pages getting ripped out sooner or later, well they do with me, not sure if thats the same as everyone else ? Thats why I am thinking about buying a second copy so that I can use one copy and not really care if it gets tatty etc and the odd page comes loose, and keep the second copy shrink wrapped so that it can last into the future, as I have hundreds of military/aviation books and manuals and I just love keeping them in mint condition and its going to be hard to do that to a manual that is used day in day out.

Yea, its annoying when it sticks at an angle, so instead of being straight and level if your in level flight, it shows you as banking however many degrees, it can be a real pain to then fix it whilst inflight.
