  1. Also Cali on my stick atleast, if the lights on the throttle are set to anything inbetween off or full on, then the grey slider on the throttle suffers from spiking. So I cant use the leds on the throttle unless they are fully on, or if I map the slider to something else that isnt something vital e.g lights. I normally use the grey slider for zoom, but when the leds are at any setting other than off or full on, the spiking goes nuts, I have to turn the leds off or fully on if I want to use the slider as a zoom function. Their is no spiking when the leds are off or fully on, so I can live with it. I must point out that the spiking is only affecting the grey slider, nothing else is affected by spiking on the warthog when it comes to the led values.
  2. When my other half whines, I bang her hard, and she loves it, when I first do it, it makes her louder for a good 20-30 minutes but then everything goes all quiet. So I think its a great trick
  3. Just a hint to others who may click on the link, the video is not in english, its Italian I think ?
  4. nice link MTFDE, as I am dying to get my hands on the manual and I didnt know their had been a post made about it already. +1 rep when the dumb thing allows me to rep you, I guess the mods were getting scared we would overtake them in the rep stakes, so they made it harder to get rep so that they remain on top. :) jk
  5. Supposedly, Bulldozer is aimed at the server market, which will then filter down to enthusiasts. I.E, Bulldozer is a Server cpu instead of a desktop chip according to AMD exec's that is. But saying that, it wont be long before bulldozer derivatives end up in desktop boards, as they are already powering servers as I type this, so not long now to wait for something that wont be any better than 2600k. I hope it will be as I heart AMD, or did in the past, but they really went to poop these last few years so I hope they can come up with a good surprise, but its looking far from likely.
  6. Something which I am not sure about but have read in a few places is, the smaller the flash memory modules fab that the ssd's receive, the shorter the lifespan of those flash memory modules. So newer SSD's might not offer the same longevity as the generation before etc. I cant recall what size of flash modules they are using now for the latest gen of ssd's, but if its true, then it may not be worth buying into newer ssd's if the lifespan of the memory modules will suffer badly over a short period of time. Now, this is only what I have been reading in a few places, maybe they have resolved the problems or changed the manufacturing process, I dunno, but the story going about is that the newer the ssd's, the quicker they will crap out on us due to the modules not being as good at writes over a period of time and will either lose the stored info, or wont be able to write onto a block alot quicker than what happens now. Whether its true or not I couldnt say, as my ssd's have been powering along for the last 2-3 years perfectly and I couldnt praise them enough, especially as they were free :) Saying all that, I doubt the problem will affect us in the immediate future, but they are saying that the smaller the fab process for the ram modules for increased ram amounts on a ssd, doing so will entail a quicker death for the ssd. P.S Pilotasso, your V2 gave your bro's ssd a run for its money, even though your ssd wasnt brought back to an as new situation by wiping it, you should be well impressed with the V2's, as it gave your bros a real good run for its money. get another and raid those bad boys up, I have done so since the begining of windows 7 official release on technet and I havent formatted or cleaned them out yet and they still power along with 0 problems. I have run ASCleaner 2 or 3 times over that space, but I find I really dont need to as they are still fast enough without using ASC. I think the next ssd I will buy is gunna be an internal one with a larger amount of ram, pcie based, as some are not that much more dearer than normal ssd's, but have more memory on them, admittedly some are raid on a card, which they neglect to tell you, but they can be worth it for not much more than a normal ssd if you do your homework and have a spare pcie slot.
  7. Yup, just buy 1 more stick of ram and bingo, you will have your quad channel. Dual/triple/quad channel isnt anything to do with the ram, its the motherboard, so just hook up 4 same or very similar sticks and bobs yer uncle.
  8. If you have activated the game once, then it is very doubtful that you will get a refund. Its like any other piece of electronic software, boxed versions once opened normally dont get refunded, only a swap if its faulty to a non faulty version and for downloads, if its been activated then the no refund policy applies. I am not connected with Ed in any shape or form, but if its been activated just once then I very much doubt a refund will be forthcoming.
  9. Umm, not sure, but if your cpu dies on you, the retailer or intel may ask you to ship everything back to them in order to get a replacement. I have seen some companies ask for everything back before a swap, box/heatsink/cpu/cpu plastic case and other companies just asking for the cpu. So unless you are willing to just buy a new cpu if it dies without trying the rma route, I would keep hold of the heatsink just incase. Thats what I keep my 930 one for, as knowing my luck they wouldnt rma it without it. Just a heads up is all.
  10. No problem Cibit ;)
  11. Dont do that, bold/underlined, as windows 7/vista auto detects a ssd and will not auto defrag it, so leave it enabled so that your other normal mechanical drives get defragged instead.
  12. HB Viper. I have got a good mind to put up a banner on the round about on north anderson drive like everyone else does when it comes to birthdays :) jk Have a good one.
  13. HB dude, oh and no more pissing in the uni's plants ;)
  14. Its magic, cant wait for S4 to start :)
  15. I would say yes, I do the same as polecat, raid 2 128 ssds, and at the begining of your ssd's fresh life their is a noticeable difference in speed, but since GC or Trim doesnt work on raid then your ssd's slow down drastically after a while, so keep that in mind if you ever raid ssd's. However if its just mechanical drives, then you dont have any such problems. I run raid 0 and have never had any problems related to it and never had data lose because of raid 0, so if you have the hardware, then go for it, if only to see what its like, chances are you wont look back if you do try it.
  16. Na you dont want a h50, corsair now have the h70, which I use, but is hella loud :( and a h80 and now a h100, the 80 and 100 will be released in the next few days/weeks. The h100 is a much bigger radiator compared to the 50,70,80. Here is the new 80 and 100, but tbh if they are as loud as my h70 then no way will I touch them, and my 70 has got the fans turned down so they dont make as much nosie and the thing still sounds like a 747 on takeoff.
  17. Yea man, great thing you are doing, even if it was just for the stick alone, but a tir4 and a 5770, someone is gunna get an early xmas.
  18. A word of warning, if my led's are set to anything but the highest power or off completely, if I set the leds for any power settign inbetween off or full on then the INCR - DCR slider on the throttle suffers spiking.
  19. "She can't go ankles up on the desk and, honestly, she shouldn't dress provocatively in fishnets or show off her decolletage," Tesauro said. LMFAO

    ArmA III

Another American Hero, argh, why not make Cpt Miller come from a different country for a change. Saying that, I will buy the thing, but I am not impressed with their fascination for American units, especially when they say they are fighting in EUROPE, what happened to all the other European Units/Countries ???. I would love to see the french, the dutch, the germans etc etc in arma properly, the same amount of each country as we have of the americans, that would be great.
  22. LOL, we are not that bad :music_whistling::lol:
  23. 1942 arcade machine, nothing surpasses that sim :) P.S you missed that falklands war one.
