  1. Its weird because the stick always wants to recentre itself most of the time, not always. Also if i am in the ka50 on the ground and fully deflect the stick the left and trim, it stays there, if I fully deflect to the right and trim it fully deflects to the left and nearly breaks my wrist at the same time. This is the only game I have problems with, I have tried the ffb axis invert, havent tried swap axis but the stick ingame is following what I do with my stick, up it goes up, down it goes down and left and right. It just seems to be a trimming problem Also, even though the joystick works in windows 10 i do not see it anywhere in usb devices or device manager, I havent installed the drivers as I was told I didnt need to as they were already in windows 10. Will try the swap axis and will get back to you, thanks.
  2. I just picked up a msffb2 stick. It works in all other games ai have but I am having trouble with dcs. In the ka50, what version of trimming should I use ? Default, centre stick trimming or joystick with no springs or ffb ? I ask because I have tried them all and I am still having problems for example. If I try to fully deflect the stick to the right and trim, the stick will automatically deflect to full left ? Also instead of the stick staying where I trimmed it at, it always goes back to centre 99% of the time. I thought if I trimmed it at a certain position it would stay there and I could take my hand off it and when i put my hand back on the stick it would still stay in position, but it doesnt work like that, mines seems to keep wanting to go back to centre. Plus I dont get any feedback from firing guns or hitting the deck hard How do I set this thing up ? Cheers Edit Using windows 10
  3. Yea, its mainly for helos and maybe the old prop planes. I do have a spare warthog handle so maybe I could mount that on it ? But I wont use it for anything other than helos and prop planes, or even just helos.
  4. Finally decided to grab a msff2, fingers crossed they are as good as you all say they are. Comes boxed and in excellent condition with very little use supposedly, will see how good of a condition it is in when it arrives.
  5. I have a spare joystick if you are interested. Warthog joystick, the bottom half needs reflashed in manual mode to work or needs to be sent back to TM to do it. However the actual stick/handle part works perfectly and may fit on your stick ? as they are supposed to be interchangable. You could buy that from me if interested. If so pm me.
  6. Buy the thrustmaster warthog hotas and use the cougar handle on that or just buy the warthog joystick on its own and if you want to use the cougar handle on it then you can. Mind you, buying the warthog stick on its own isnt that much cheaper than buying the complete hotas set.
  7. if you have two same keys for one module then it should be an instant refund for one of them or a cancellation of the entire purchase and a total refund which should allow you to then repurchase again.
  8. Is that a modded warthog hotas ? If so it looks nice, What all has been done to it ?
  9. Yea, you will need to install it on your home pc, copy the installation folder onto the external drive, hook up the external drive to your work pc and either leave it connected or copy the contents somewhere onto your work pc. Once you have done that you will manually need to create shortcuts on your desktop that point to dcs.exe i think it is. So in the game installation folder, look in the bin folder i think it is and look for dcs.exe, right click the mouse and select create shortcut, the shortcut will be made in that folder, cut the shortcut out and copy it to your desktop. Once done, double click the shortcut on your desktop and it should then work. I am not at my pc so the names of folders and file names might not be 100% correct. You will need to do this for both 1.5 and 2.0 versions of dcs. It is a pity that ED no longer hosts the actual dcs game files without the need for an automatic downloader/installer like they used to. Just a straight up downloaded exe file so it can be put on a flash drive or removeable hard drive and installed at said location without all this hassle.
  10. Steam will give you a refund in the first 14 or 28 days for ANY reason aslong as you have not played the game/what you purchased for more than 2 hours. Its great, you can buy any game and if you dont like it and have played it less than 2 hours within either 14 or 28 days, steam will no questions asked refund your money. I have done it myself a couple of times for different games.
  11. Yes hou can activate on your work pc without it having internet access. Here, this explains it all, scroll down to the no internet access option. http://www.star-force.com/support/users/group2.php#123 You can activate via email, phone etc, just follow the instructions and choose which activation option you want to use, example email or phone, text message sms or activate on the starforce website itself. All you need to do is first generate a hardware code via the activation app, once you have got the hardware code generated you can activate offline via one of the above methods.
  12. Alot of fighter aircraft are Huge, its just that when you see them on tv or ingame etc they look deceptively small. You should see the size of the f14, it looks big anyway but its only when you see people standing on the top of it near the rudders do you realise just how huge the thing is, its absolutely massive when shown with something you can compare it against for scale. I just wonder how big the f105 thunderchief is in real life, that thing is meant to be massive for a single seat fighter. As for why they are so large, I guess its for performance, distance and payload reasons, that would be my guess. Also, it was maybe easier in the su27 design era to build them larger without the weight penalty that would typically be incurred due to new technologies like composites being available at that time ? Lovely bird tho.
  13. Follow the instructions on the activation app, use the "by other means" option to activate without an internet connection. You may need to use another pc with internet access to see the webpage for instructions or to email starforce to get your activation code. But use the other means option and it will get you hooked up.
  14. When i got the no key error, I logged out of the module manager and when I tried to log back in it kept giving me a no internet connection error and wouldnt let me re-log in. I restarted the game and still same thing, about an hour later I tried again and it logged me in but still the No Key error is there, but as mentioned I can fly all planes, well I think I can as I never tested them all, just a couple but I have to reactivate the pony I think.
  15. I have same problem, once I updated to the latest version all my keys went missing from the module manager, it just says No Key for all aircraft, however I can fly them and go multiplayer with everything except the p51, but i think that problem was caused during the update, it asked me to activate the p51, it was already activated so i said no and carried on with the update, now the pony doesnt work, but I guess a manual deac-react will fix it.
  16. The new set arrived with both firmware versions upto date, 23/11 so it wouldnt of needed flashing, not that I was going to do it anyway. Will get the broken joystick repaired and either keep it as a spare or sell it cheap.
  17. Just as I thought I was out, you pull me back in, only for me to then brick my warthog during a firmware flash :/
  18. Thats mine bricked today aswell. Bootloader error for the stick, firmware 0, it was previously 10 or 11 I tried the manual boot loader process, but my fingers got too sore from trying and trying to keep the trigger squeezed and the weapons release held at the same time as I plugged it in and in and in and in and in rinse repeat. Was just gunna order a new stick, but its 200 quid for just the stick yet only 277 for throttle and stick, so I just bought a new set, cant be bothered waiting for thrustmaster to take weeks to get back to me via email. Did speak to the dude on the phone, but he was reluctant to just sell me a new controller board as he didnt know if that would fix the problem, well I can see his point but the stick was working ok until the dick that is me ran the update tool, then it got bricked. :) I think possibly windows 10 and/or usb 3 are somehow relating to the problem ? Ahwell, I guess it will come in handy for spares and it did last 5/6 years so I did get my moneys worth out of it, plus it was manky after 5 /6 years use, so it was time for a fresh look anyway. On the plus side, the throttle still works. But yea, Me is not a happy bunny today. Remind me not to flash the new one.
  19. phoned isp and using the same network as me the dude logged in and was able to access the site. the only way I can access the site is by using 4g data sim in my phone, looks like I will have to reset my router, ahwell it will give me an excuse to flash it to the latest firmware. EDIT; After a couple hours of pissing about I finally managed to get it to load, what caused the problem and how I managed to fix it I just :dunno: Hopefully that will be it, cheers for the suggestions anyway chaps.
  20. 26ms tracert time to dcs, but site just wont load on ipad, two pcs and my iphone.
  21. na, my isp dont block, throttle, traffic shape etc etc can someone clear there cache and see if they can then login ?
  22. yup, have rebooted the router, but I will go clean out my cookies and cache, funny thingnis that it was working a couple days ago and other people are having the same problem. but I will go clean up thee cookies n cache and see if that helps. cheers joey.
  23. me too, I cant connect to http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com. just wont connect at all, on one browser it mentioned something about a dns error on their side. ahwell, looks like I wont be buying anything during this sale
