  1. I recall reading or seeing on TV that when the RAF first tested and fired these things for real, the pilots were shocked and thought that the missiles had misfired and went ballistic, as they didn't know or weren't told that directly after launch the ALARM missile climbs up past the launching aircraft and then dives towards its target in a near vertical profile. The pilots didn't know before firing them that the missile once fired goes into a steep climb, which then made them think that something had gone wrong, but after a few minutes or so they realised that they did indeed destroy the target/s.
  2. Sad news indeed. R.I.P Jim
  3. No need to imagine it, that's HIGHLY likely whats going to happen judging by their recent pricing model. However much I love ed's products. If they charge (read as forcing us) to get every module upto the new engine standards, that will be the end of my love affair with ed/dcs. However if they just charge a one off fee for the new engine which all the modules will then intergrate into without further payment for said modules then I would be happy with that, but not happy with having to pay for all modules to be brought upto the new engines standard. As personally I thought charging to bring BS upto BS2 standards was a BS move, and no that doesnt mean Black Shark move. This is where ED has to focus carefully on their future business model as they cannot continue the way they have been doing if you ask me. Sooner or later it will upset a good portion of users who will eventually vote with their head instead of their wallet, although you will get a few diehards who will publicly profess their love for ED and say that they will pay hundreds for each module and update or pay no matter what the cost, but the majority of people dont like paying for patches and its the majority that ED need to keep happy. I like their products, I buy their products but I dont like having to pay for something that is little more than a patch disguised as something totally new and better and, comes at a time just as you have figured out all the bugs and changed lines of code and finally got the thing working as it should to then start all over again. This is just my tuppence worth however right or wrong some people may think it is.
  4. I have wargame european escalation and it is really well done but as with all RTS games, I am total shite at it. I find it too confusing, but I give them 10 out of 10 for the way it looks, if the new one is anything like european escalation it will indeed be a very nice looking game and if your into RTS, it should provide you with many hours of fun.
  5. That could be the problem fitness88, as its a long long time since I needed to use sst and when I installed my pedals, I found that I didnt even need sst for that, so I havent used it in about 2-3 years as I always set the pedals ingame. I will give a set of drivers from madcatz a go and see if that will fix it for me.
  6. I think something might be wrong with my saitek sst software, as it wont let me add any keys to the pedals, the pedals are greyed out in the sst software and I cant add anything to them. I used to make profiles for my x52 when I used it, but I use my hog now so I dont use sst anymore, but when I have tried to add the brakes to them it wouldnt allow me to input anything, so I gave up as everything was set ingame so I didnt really need to use sst until now. So I think I will have to do an uninstall/reinstall of the sst program in order to be able to add the brakes.
  7. Ah, but what about the su25 in dcs world ? You would of thought it would have an axis for brakes, fair enough FC craft not having it since they are modelled to a lower fidelity compared to dcs, but I would of thought the 25 in dcs world would of had it. That being said, if the 25 in real life doesnt have toe brakes then that would explain why it doesnt have it in the game.
  8. I think all aircraft from fc3 and the su25/t in dcs world should have an axis available for toebrakes. Its just wrong not having an axis for brakes when all other aircraft have them. It couldnt be that hard to implement surely ?
  9. I trim'd my wifes box last night, does that count as having a trim box ?
  10. Lol nice damage modelling, esp the part when the wing hits the tower and the plane changes direction by 90 degrees and keeps flying fully intact lol
  11. As the title says, I was wondering if their is a full sim ala A10C but for the SU25T in the works or on the cards ? Anyone know ? I do fly the standard 25T and 25 in DCSW, but would love to fly a proper uncircumcised version.
  12. Wait for the paid for addon called blackshark 3 then all your problems will be fixed, if not then, then rest assured it will be by the time the paid for addon called blackshark 4 is released.

  19. Getting shot in the face by a t72 :( Replay after it, I actually saw the shell coming up and meeting me clean on the chops.
  20. Hmmm, I got an email from them offering beta status cause I own WoP, I didnt take the chance as I cant be bothered with beta'in, but I presumed it was gunna be like WoP but on a much bigger scale. Not liking the idea of unlocks tho :(
  21. New "Sim" or whatever you might like to call it heading our way. Its from the same people who made Wings of Prey, so if you ask me, it should be pretty decent, they intend to implement a few hundred aircraft from props to jets and have a huge MMO type online capability when it comes to online gaming. I have seen a few videos and it looks pretty decent, whether that translates into, "it will be a good game" is a different matter. But here is the link http://warthunder.com/ Beta spots are open now.
  22. Yea, where be Hassata ???
  23. I got the same email, i dunno whether i should merge or not ?
  24. I always knew denzel was a helluva pilot, you can tell just by looking at him that he flies buses upside down everyday without incident.
