Agreed, Routers are notorious for messing with FTP ports and such like. I guess asking for a router that just "works" is asking too much ? -

Yes, I can agree with you to a degree that its probably easier to do a 2 seater for the apache, I mean how hard can it be since both pits have nearly identical controls ?, auto hover and then jump seats if need be etc, but I am more worried about how it would turn out in a fast mover, no hover for them unless we are speaking about the harrier or the jsf, but none of them are 2 seaters and some 2 seaters explicitly need the back seater for weapons deployment and radar, so to a point I can agree with you on that it would be kinda easy to simulate a 2 seater helo, but when it comes to fighters I would think thats a whole different ball game. I am interested in how ED plan on working it out. -

All these arguments about what plane would be good next, I think alot of people are missing the main point, alot of the planes people are wishing for are 2 seaters, how are Ed going to implement a 2 seater plane into a single player enviroment ? It wouldnt be realistic, because no matter what, if you were the pilot and then suddenly jumped into the back seat to do whatever was needed, do you really think the A.I could control the plane to the same degree as a human ? example, you are on the tail of someone, you are the pilot, you need to lock him up so you you go into the back seat, whats going to happen when the A.I takes control ???? chances are you will end up becoming the target in a few seconds time. 2 seaters could be done, but I think they could only be done properly either on LAN or internet with 2 people, so in that respect I think 2 seater aircraft are out unless ED forces us to be the pilot and the AI doing everything else, i.e we cant jump between seats. Thats the way I think things will be, but then again, they are speaking about an apache, so I really dont know, but being able to jump in and out of seats in a fighter is going to be very difficult to implement properly and still be in control of the overall situation. -
Does setting LOD detail in nvidia cards to CLAMP do anything ? I suffered this problem also with the new patch, but I uninstalled and then reinstalled the game and I no longer have the problem, but when I first applied the patch over a unmodded BS, the lettering especially on the buttons above the HUD were impossible to read when zoomed out, they were all blurry n shat, I had to zoom in to read them properly. I cant recall if settings LOD to clamp will do anything to rectify this situation or not, but for me, a reinstall of the game worked.

Retro :| Uk used them up until the 90s :) I can understand ED not doing it from a financial point of view as people want f15s f18s 16s etc and the russian equivelant, but if they continue to release planes for dcs for say over 10 years, then who knows what they might release ? but saying that I doubt a lightning will be forthcoming, which is sad, if ED dont do it I dont want ANY other company to do one as they will ruin it. -

meh, keep the apache and whatever other american jets, I just want an ENGLISH ELECTRIC LIGHTNING then I will be happy for life, also maybe throw in a Canberra and that would be my dream come true and I REALLY hope that ED do a Lightning as their should be enough info for that in the public domain now ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Electric_Lightning This was built in the days when Britain still had an Fighter AirCraft Industry and were on par with the yanks and the russkies. I am starting this thread so that everyone who has installed the English patch and noticed thing's that were previously working, but now no longer work after the patch is Installed, or just plain old bugs/glitches that people observe with version 1.0.1, so that they can post them here to keep things all in one place hopefully. It's just to give ED a single location where bugs retaining to the patch can be viewed in a single place, thus giving them a much better idea of what all is, and isnt working as it should. Only list your problem if you are sure its a patch problem, i.e you have uninstalled DCS completely, plus any mods that one may have installed and then reinstalled the game "STOCK" and then patched from there and still suffer from the same problems whilst the game is still STOCK with no mods or tweaks of any kind. I will start it off, Fresh DCS Install+Patch with no mods and the music/radio is messed up. It won't randomise playback like it did before and making radio stations isnt working properly as other people have found out. Also ABRIS is alot slower and possibly using more resources than previously ? as their is a decent FPS hit when the ABRIS is in map mode and when turning on map mode for the first time the map can take a while to load up which was'nt like that in version 1.0 Thats my bugs that I have come across so far, if anyone has found some more please list them so that everyone can see what they are and more importantly so that ED can see what they are and confirm them as bugs or just a conflict/problem on someones pc. Same here Timm, i also noticed that their was an overlap. I also noticed, but am not sure, but I think the exhaust haze has been retouched because it seems more realistic now, its much better, but I could be dreaming.

Some skins are only available for certain countries, not all skins can be used for every country, so when making a mission, depending on which country you select will depend on how many skins you have to choose from. Thats how it is in DCS without using DCSMax. But, when using DCSmax you can choose any skin regardless of country. -
Hmmm, I guess they messed up the radio in the patch ? Can I ask, when you were listening to radio mayak and when it was working perfect, did the msuic randomise for you ? cuz I cant get it to do that no matter what I do. BTW, try this if you want, move all your music from the first sources line and leave that empty, so it should look like this [1] = { startTime = 0 * 3600 + 0 * 60 + 0, period = 30.0 * 60.0, priority = 1, sources = {"c:\\MUSIC\\} And then put all your music in the radiomirmi folder, as I had similar problem that I fixed by changing location. 2] = { rand = true, cycled = true, interruptable = true, priority = 0, sources = { "c:\\MUSIC\\RadioMirmi/" } Basically all you are doing is moving the music from one directory to another, as the msuic wouldnt play for me if I had the music in the wrong place.

It used to be best flying on a private server due to all the shenanigans that went on with cheating and such, but with the advent of the anti-cheat system in the new patch, maybe just "maybe" public servers may well be worth flying on again ? it remains to be seen though... -
Yup, same happening here, once abris is switched to map the fps takes a huge dip and have also noticed that when first switching to map mode it takes a few seconds before the entire area of the map is displayed, it starts off blue and then gradually fills up with the surrounding area.

I can get the music to play no problem whilst the radio is tuned to that frequency but it just wont randomise :( Your beacons.lua file is missing the rand = true entry so if and when you get the music to play and you can hear it, it wont randomise, so you will listen to the music in the same order all the time... I am not sure if you have read the patch read me file yet ? as it explains about the new radio features and how to set them up. this is my beacons file for radio mayak and that works without random playback. I have found that if I place my music in the section marked [1] the music wont play, it only plays in the [2] section. ["Mayak"] = { name="Mayak", type = BEACON_BROADCAST_STATION, position = { latitude = 44.744348, longitude = 40.093099, height = 220.0, course = 0 }, frequency = 125675000.0, power = 1500.0, modulation = "AM", content = { [1] = { startTime = 0 * 3600 + 0 * 60 + 0, period = 30.0 * 60.0, priority = 1, sources = {"RadioMayak\\!RadioMayak.wav"} }, [2] = { rand = true, cycled = true, interruptable = true, priority = 0, sources = { "RadioMayak\\Music/" } In your file you have the same start and stop times, delete this line stopTime = 0 * 3600 + 0 * 60 + 0, and it should then play.

Something similar happened to me, I landed to get more ammo and then I took off but I forgot to get more fuel, so I landed again, probably withing 2 minutes of taking off and the ground crew wouldnt speak to me :( the tower could and did, but when I set the radio to ground crew and selected refuel they werent saying anything. Only when I took off and then went back into battle and got shot down and respawned and took off and then landed again did the ground crew want to speak to me.

P.S i did find a sample duration table file, but it was in the virtual store in the appdata folder, i deleted it and restarted the game and it made no difference whatsoever, if you delete it from there it doesnt re-appear once you start the game again like it used to before the patch.

bumpity bumpity BUMP... nobody got any ideas why the music wont randomise/shuffle playback anymore even though the readme says that with the script setup as above it should ?

That has happened to me miridon, no sample duration table and no music randomisation, although the music actually plays fine, it just wont shuffle the playback like it used to, so now the music plays in the same order every single time even with the rand = true, so i dunno whats happened. I made a post yesterday but i dont think anyone has replied to it yet.

You can just uninstall the game without De-activation and then re-install and patch without re-activation and the game will still work and be activated, because this version of starforce doesnt require you to de-activate and re-activate when you uninstall and reinstall the game on the same pc. De-activation is really only for if you want to format or add lots of new hardware to your computer or if you want to install DCS on another computer, you can uninstall and reinstall black shark on the same computer without de-activation and re-activation as much times as you like as long as the criteria is still correct for starforce to allow it. Maybe a game bug that caused your deactivation problems ?
