It's short software that let's you create custom solar systems, galaxies or modify characteristics of planetary objects (mass) and see how they react. It uses Newton gravity physics, and can go to the limit of your CPU when lots of bodies ;) Here a video, it's available through Steam, and I think there is also a demo version on their page. I'll just post the tutorial on how to get the Ipad as a second monitor, which I used maybe it will help some of you guys, you never know, or at least give you ideas. It is because of how the application works: through a screenshot grabber, basically takes fast screenshots of a specific area of the display, which appear as a video data. If you don't have from where it can "screenshot" info from, then you have no video. Another option would be to make the iPad as a second monitor. I managed to do this myself, but with the current applications, the performance is not really good. Don't think so, because the reason above.

Well you can make yourself a list with the frequencies for all airports. There already are some in the forums if you search. Also you can go in map-view F-10, zoom in on the airport and left-click it, then you get the frequency. E.g. of Airport info-List: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60370

I would suggest you get a cap you don't need and sew the tracker to it. Like this you don't have to worry about it falling off and get broken.

Hab's ausprobiert und bei mir ist es so: im Cockpit sehe ich ohne zoom den 2D Rauch, wenn ich jedoch rein zoome, dann wird es volumetrisch. D.h. hier gib's auch LOD Einstellungen die man irgendwo ändern kann. (keine Ahnung wo) In Außenaussicht sind die LOD Einstellungen anders als in Cockpit View: man kann den 3D Rauch aus einer größeren Entfernung sehen.

Yes, it worked well for FC2, for DCS A-10C, didn't notice a big improvement in the loading times, maybe that part was already in good shape.

There is also a thread to that specific problem, why not talk about it there (or open a new one..), instead of hijacking this one-for clarity sake..

Did you select the DCS folder for "high performance" and used "frag protect" for that? I can confirm that after defragging With UD, and defining the DCS FC2 folder for high performance (moves it to the outside layer) and using frag protect I get faster loading _____________Before ________After Preload:______20 sec________15 sec Load:________40 sec________15 sec Total:________60 sec________30 sec Ps: can't rep you for info Ethereal, because "I have to spread some rep around".. but you don't need it anyway:P

Not really sure: is the long waiting time before simulator.exe starts or after?- I'll check to see how long it takes for me. I get: 20 sec to full screen loading (where the loading bar is shown) and from there another 40 sec until in cockpit (for a average mission).

I find it strange that caponi gets different loading times for FC2 and BS, although they use the same engine, can't explain it. Regarding W7: I would still keep it (and did when I had to make the choice), 30 sec is not the world. I have have also the X2 6400 black edition.
