You confuse me: So you say turning off aero is a tweak that only works for low end pc's. But then you say on your pc, where you can "run multiple games simultaneously, while compressing a video" you get 10-15 fps gain. Let me tell you what I think: I think this is BS. If your PC would gain FPS from turning Aero off, then is really not a system to play DCS sims from the beginning on. And Hassata, talked about the interaction with Helios, witch is something completely different. Anyway back to topic: The new patch is really great work. And also gives measurable FPS gains!

I'm not questioning the theory, I did the before/after test and got 0 FPS gain. You say you got 10-15, wondering what someone else is doing.

Ok, so the secret project surfaced. I was kind of disappointed, but got over it. Sonalyist working for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) released a UUV-sim "ACTUV Tactics". So you can serve you country by playing this (if you're from US). (I would play it also, but I'm not getting payed :D) IMO, the project sounds boring, and the whole hype around it (in subsim circles) was an over-reaction. But maybe some enjoy it. Ich gib's zu, TouchIR ist nicht wirklich Benutzer-freundlich, aber du kriegst es schon hin. Ich hab den Programm mit dem IPad verbunden, und Ghost-units Profile verwendet, aber fuer den Iphone sollte es aehnlich ablaufen. Es hoert sich so an, dein Firewall blockiert den Server Programm. Also den Upgrade fuer Auto-Hotkeys hast schon (Durch IPhone-App erweitert/gekauft). Folgende Schritte muss man beachten: 1. Nach Installation, musst erstmal Touch-IR-Admin.exe aufuehren, dann einfach "execute" (schreibe dir die IP Adresse die du hier siehst auf) 2. Wichtig: sicherstellen dass der Port 8822 (voreingestellt) freigestellt ist. Fuer W7: geht's so: http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-7/open-a-port-in-windows-7s-firewall/ Falls du andere Firewalls, ausser der von Windows installiert hast, kann es sein dass man da auch sicher stellen muss, ob die Ports blockiert sind. Wie das geht, haengt vom Programm ab. Falls du vermutest es koennte daran liegen, schliesse diese kurzzeitig ab, um zu ueberpruefen. 3. Server-software als Admin laufen lassen. 4. In DCS musst du die keyconfig.lua im Menu laden (wird zur Verfuegung gestellt) 5. Jetzt gehts mit dem Server Software los: hier muss man unter Tools / import configuration den Profile laden. 6. Waehle unter Location.. was verfuegbar ist und unter Activity, irgendwas (es ist egal was) 7. Jetzt oeffne das App auf dein IPhone. unter settings/touch IR server/edit kannst sicher stellen dass die IP Adresse und der Port richtig eingetragen sind. Port sollte 8822 sein (den du freigestellt hast) und die IP Adresse sollte die gleiche sein, die du aufgeschrieben hast. Schliesse den Menu, und druecke im rechten Eck, oben: refresh. Jetzt solltest es gehen. Es ist schon etwas umstaendig, aber sollte klappen.

The idea is not to use your own laser and TGP (because of cloud layer). So , when you get the data from JTAC, you make it SPI through TAD. At this point you can launch your LGB in CCRP mode, but it will only act like a dumb bomb. (Make sure auto-laser is off in your profile). Then when near the drop, ask the JTAC to lase your target, then you're good to go. I added also a small mission for practice. ;) JTAC @ 131 MHz, AM jtac_overcast_blind.miz

Ok, I can confirm that blind bombing with LGB and JTAC assistance works. It's pretty cool. I don't have to use the TGP at all, and can stay above the overcast, launch the LGB, once it gets through clouds, the JTAC laser guides it to target. :thumbup:

..and you made him a tester.. god help us!
