As the title says, I am planning to upgrade my Vive to the HP Reverb. I had the same. I joined a pilot mid flight, and his flaps detached when I took control. PLus the landing gear was having an issue deciding if it was up or down 60 times a second.

I have started a dedicated server on a second account on my wife's PC. Previously I could access the control page from my ED account; Home > Personal section > Game servers. Now I can see the server, but every time I try to access the Dashboard, it fails to connect. Previously I could access Dashboard fine. I can connect to the server as a client with DCS, but I need the dash to change missions. I try to do this so my wife's usage does not get interfered by me logging her out and logging on to my desktop to restart DCS, then editing server files to load correct mission each time and all the other things that must be done... it will slowly piss her off, then she will sting me. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?

I mentioned some great resources in the chatter at the beginning of the first video, about 2 minutes in. In the resource from ED, it tells how to create the folder structure and files for DCS mods. The only difference is how the model is created. The blender export tool when used creates an EDM file, so imagine anything referring to 3DsMax as being done with Blender. Can I just say my videos are not a tutorial... more of a video diary of an experiment. The object you refer to is the monkey head? If so it is Suzanne or "Monkey" in Blender and is a default shape in Blender. It's on the "Create" tab. Otherwise I created these videos using Blender exporter... it does not have to be static models.

Yes, I have done a couple of models before. If you look through my other videos, I did a Aston Marton, which had transparent glass, but I never finished it as CA speed seems capped at 78mph. I will cover glass texture later close to when I do the export. I will slow down for the videos for the Blender to EDM settings prior to the export as there are a few things to explain, and also I will slow down for a couple of the animations, as the Blender exporter was not completed, so workarounds must be made. I also did a Lightning, but the mesh was too hi-poly. I had some fun with my friends in it though in a private MP server. I never finished the Lightning, as I could not do all the techniques I felt I needed to make the mesh look good, like cutting the airbrakes without adding 2million extra verts.

What you have already for menus, but use the MOOSE CAP GCI AI-A2A_Dispatcher, and stop start squadrons with your menu functions. Then you can go up against enemy CAP or GCI interceptors.

How can this be done? Server only authorises on --norender GOing to try logging in on my player account, DL the maps then restart with server account.

Just tried to load a PG mission after today's update, but it simply defaulted back to a Caucuses mission. Server was started with --norender. I notice it is not on the change log, so is it not released today, or is it separate from the update.

I wasn't able to run a server on my machine prior to this, so sadly no frame increase. A ping of 2 is always a good thing though :)

Yes, I have done a similar thing, but before I did this, I run the MKLINK /J DCS "E:\DCS SAVES" command to point the saves games away from her root. This means nothing gets stored on C:\ except probably something in Application data.

Feed back: I have it all working. I could only muster up 3 others to test this evening, so we had a F-14 pilot/RIO, an FA-18 and a AV-8B, there was no major problems with latency, the odd spike. A2A, laser bombing, buddy lase, A2A refueling, formation flying, carrier landings, it all just worked, and it works fine on a crappy old 240 velociraptor 10000RPM. The main thing is my wife did not complain of any slow down in performance while using her PC as she normally does. This being said, I need to give it a mission which will be more stressful on her hardware, and get a few more players on. I have one more thing to complete this setup; I have set up network sharing, but I am going to make a new link for the save games folder so it stores on the second dedicated drive that I installed for this, that way I don't use any of her 120GB SSD, and I can clear trk files and add missions which can be manipulated using the account page on the ED website.

I assume you have your machines on the same router, did you need to do anything special with regards to forwarding?

It's just best this way, if it is not stealth she WILL accidentally close the server 100% guaranteed. Actually I see she has Win 10 pro, so I can run as a different user, so my question now is just can I get away with a normal 7200RPM HDD.

Hi all, I want to set up a dedicated server for myself and about 6 other players. My wife has a desktop PC with Xeon CPU (W3520 @2.66GHz), with 8GB ram and a nVidia GT 710. She never turns it off, and only uses it for online solitaire and Netflix, so I was thinking if I got her another drive, would it be possible to run a stealth server, or at the least something she would not notice, nor accidentally shut down? Would there be much of a slow down on web browsing for her? Finally, would I get away with a spin drive, seeing as DCS will not be rendering the 3D environment? Thanks in advance
