Would this dedicated server be able to run on a low cost VM type server? If so what would the minimum specs required be?

Yes, it is a high count, but I managed to get 5 friends and myself flying without lag in MP though. To be honest I went a bit mad on the sub surface. I have still much to learn in terms of topology. I'd redo the model completely if I could find some decent plans.

I have been messing about with 3d modelling. Not really sure where to go with this as I have done it from free plans found in Google. I was hoping to do a surprise 6 Lightning display at VUAF earlier this year, but sadly I could not find the time to get it ready. Here are a couple of pictures I thought I'd share anyway :)

See the dit on my last post... actually there is one thing I found. Mav only seems to uncage if the LMFD is on stores page. -

Slew to target in TPOD, uncage Maverick, sensor select forward to set to IRMV mode, spam TDC action to lock, fire. Tried it last night and it worked fine. Edit actually there is one thing I found. Mav only seems to uncage if the LMFD is on stores page. -
Thanks for this. The Harrier is going to be one of two clients, I just use AI to get check timings, viewing in F10 view with accelerated time. The full mission I did has T-72's overlooking the beach, and the idea is that the Harriers have to take out the tanks, so the APC's can make it ashore and drop the troops. Either the tanks wipe out the holding units, or if I add M2A2s they clear up. I can have tried the same thing further round the coast and the amphibious units beach perfectly regardless of how far out to sea I place them, so I guess something in-game is blocking them in some way round the immediate coast of Gudauta.

Hi, I am trying to make a support mission for the Harrier. I have placed various vehicles in the water and set their paths so they hit land at a certain time. The problem is that the vehicles just stop when they get close to the shore line. If I place them in the water really close to the shore they do ride on to the beach, but leaves no time for the flight to reach the combat area. I'd like to place them at a distance, so the fighting kicks off when the flight gets close to the combat area. I have attached a MIZ file with just the landing craft at various points, with no enemies, can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong? Beach landing.miz

Hi, anyone manage to set up the MCG controls for the harrier. I am struggling with mapping the TCD and trim to the mini axis sticks. I wanted to change the configuration to buttons on TDC as using the AXIS is so wild that I cannot select the axis in DCS. If I pick slider_1 and jor_rx manually, then in game the TDC slew has a mind of it's own. Even a link to useful guide to how to configure these would be helpful. I've been trawling Google and VKB for a couple hours now, and I am still none the wiser, maybe I am searching for the wrong thing.

I think "you must be there means", you must be watching the stream, or logged in to twitch. The winners will be announced either in the stream's live chat, or someone will announce the winner audibly in the stream.

I wonder how this will work added MAC aircraft in the ME... will it be a checkbox for say the MiG21 or the F5, to choose between HiFid and FC level?

I would not like to see any of those aircraft, as I have most of them full fid, so I would not buy the update to FC4. If it had some of the AI aircraft which had decent meshes I would probably buy it, such as Tornado. Aircraft that would make it interesting to new comers and existing FC3 customers surely is the way forwards for ED to make some money. -

Hi, I followed a link to change by BS1 + upgrade to a full BS2 version, as described in a previous link. I was being prompted for my BS2 code each time I logged in, so I followed some other guys recommendation, and uninstalled BS2. I have just re-examined my mission. Seeing that there were no responses I suspected this was probably my own doing. Basically, I wanted a mission where players that were taken out of action could not re-spawn. To achieve this I set the warehouse of the airfield the flight started from, to have 0 aircraft. I have now adjusted the warehouse to hold all the client aircraft, and it now works as I originally expected.

Hi, I created a MP mission Sunday night in 2.5.1 beta. When it came to hosting,no one including myself was able to join an aircraft. Another member of our MP group hosted a server and we had exactly the same results. Missions made prior to 2.5.1 seem to still work ok. I just wondered if anyone could replicate or confirm if this is a new bug? Kindest regards Andy

Even though the targets are obscured through the trees, they can still see and shoot through them. I was trying to sneak up on a BMP, but a T72 that was obscured from my view managed to see me through the trees, and totalled me with it's guns. This was on HAVOC server.

Same for me. Seems to be when I un-cage the SHKVAL. If I press to un-cage again it stabilises.

Have you applied a texture file to each of the materials? If you have not it will not export. It is a good time to set up the folder structure for the mod, and start adding images for your textures, and the appropriate description files. The images can be as simple as a one colour PNG image 1px by 1px. In cycles render, create a new material. Delete the two you have already. In the new material click the texture node button. In surface choose Diffuse BSDF. In colour, click the little dot to the right, and choose image texture from the context menu. Click the open button, and add a texture image.
