  1. sorry for that. I have sent post as a PM
  2. It wasn't by mistake though. I arranged for this to happen after you appeared to deliberately team killed me, and then logged off. It is also after your comment in chat the previous night which was along the lines of, "this is a public server, if you want to fly formation, get a private server". I explained your actions to one of the admins who flies in our formation time to time. His response was "this is a formation flying and aerobatics server, not a formation team kill server". Anyway he nabbed you for a week as he couldn't find evidence of a second deliberate team kill, but he is watching you now.
  3. The rudder pedals go through the floor when you move them to the extremity:)
  4. There is a mod where you can have 2 DCS instances running, one in ME, and one viewing the map being created... https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=149769 Maybe this can point you in the direction you need.
  5. Hi, can I enter and if win donate both Viggen and Nevada prizes to my son? I have both.
  6. VR is awesome. I got the Vive, I don't regret it at all. There's little bit of tweaking, and the clarity is nowhere near what you get on a monitor, but for immersion, all I can say is wow. I find myself just staring round all the switches and instruments that just pop out. A couple of times I've reached for the canopy frame to pull myself up, only to be reminded I'm in VR. You would have to update your GPU before you could run VR.
  7. ..and would the compute power be enough at the moment?
  8. Your pedals are brilliant, much nicer than the set I built. I used a waiting room chair with square metal tubed legs, hacked them into lengths and bolted them to some Lazy Susan bearings and springs from ebay. I got the mechanism to move the potentiometer all wrong so I need to rebuild that part, but the pedals are proper sturdy. It worked, but I am not getting a even throw when levering the pot. I would be interested to see how you have done this. I got a joystick controller board so, I also have loads of spare terminals to fit switches to when I can find time to build a makeshift pit.
  9. You're probably right. Also a GPU capable of running those resolutions at 90 FPS is probably years off.
  10. You have to take the rough with the smooth...

  12. I'd like to win as I've spent all my money on my PC, but my home made rudders didn't work properly, and my 10 year old HOTAS is starting to get a bit ropey :D
  13. I read on these forums something along the lines .... Focus on a fixed point on the horizon, and every move you make will be more noticeable in your peripheral vision when you try and hover.... I tried this method, and my Gazelle landings are loads better. I use twist grip on an x52.
  14. https://www.reddit.com/r/hoggit/comments/5fdkal/we_just_announced_the_dcs_ajs_37_viggen_now_were/ From hoggit disucussion with Leatherneck [–]Apache600 4 points an hour ago @RangarDa, There was a scene of the Viggen doing a landing on a roadway, have you guys been able to implement the ability to spawn an aircraft (engine off) on a road as well? [–]RagnarDa 5 points 51 minutes ago Unfortunately no, but we are working with ED on it. The aircraft is easy to land on small and short roads though.
  15. Actually what I think is weird is that you keep on retorting with misquotes. These things have only been mentioned by you; "wheat field" "forest" "ploughed field" "rock strewn desert" Sorry Neil, but these things have manifested from your imagination, and not quotes to what people have typed. To top it you have the audacity to say this... Actually what I have said can be quoted and it is sensible, unlike your comments, but that appears to be a recurring tone in your posts. I challenge you NeilWillis, to show me where a user has said they wish to take off from a "wheat field", else I will just continue to assume you are trolling.
  16. Delivered much better thank you  You again have a valid point. Personally if I placed an F-15c on dirt I would expect it to stick solid in the dirt, if I placed it on a road, or bunched up on an solid apron with a load of other aircraft, I would like it to have the functionality to taxi and take off (confined to whether or not I have the skill to do so). Like I said before on page 3 of this thread, Viggens are allegedly coming. I fly serious in single player. I fly serious with the display group I fly with, but often the team I am with like to try the dynamics of flight out in unusual ways, for instance who has not tried to land a non carrier plane on an aircraft carrier? Who here has turned the wind up to full speed and tried STOL? I would not like to see the realism taken away, but I would like to have the flexibility be able to create absurd scenarios along with the realistic fictional one.
  17. "as nature intended", and "Is that a bit too complicated for you?" seriously? You have taken people suggestions and put an extreme twist on what they have written. If users wish to use their imagination then they should not be criticised for doing so in the manner your posts come across. While your points are valid, I find the delivery of your answers to be offensive. I'm sure you're a nice person in real life, just saying:thumbup:.
  18. I think it would be great to be able to place aircraft where ever I like, the same as can be done with a helicopter. The OP would be covered with this suggestion as he would be able to place his warbirds exactly how he imagined. It opens all sorts of possibilities, For example when the Viggen is released, my squadron will be doing landings on roads. It would be great if we could set a farp by a road, and line a few Viggens up strategically, take off, blow stuff up, return, refuel and rearm, and so on.
  19. Hi, I hosted a server last night for 4 A-10c pilots. I only have one PC, so it was client/host. The server was set up with all 4 A-10's in the same group. A group member left the server after he was shot down, when he did my flight switched from my control, to AI. It was also recorded that my plane had crashed, but it was still flying, just under AI control. The pilot who left said that it also happens to him, when he hosts, hence not asking about it under A-10c. Is this a known issue, if not how do I report it. Kindest regards
