According to my information the MiG21MF had a static service ceiling of 17.300m and a dynamic max. ceiling of 23.000m. The Bis was designed for better low altitude performance so I do not believe it could easily climb to 25km with full tank and weapons loadout. On the 28.4. 1961 G. Mossolow reached 34.714m with the E-66A, but this unique MiG had a rocket booster. As I understand the books and manuals, the MiG should just be able to hold 18km, maybe zoomcimb to 23km, but should not reach 29km.

Tested and experience the same weird performance as described above. Please correct ASP and pipper behavior.

Can confirm similar experience playing in MP environment as host in full real settings. Climbed with 2.2M up to 24km where my engine went dead and could repeat this two times out of 2. Maybe ED some changes along the high alt performance in DCS World since F-15C and Su-27 also have much more power at high alt? But generally a step back for LNS I guess. Don´t give up... :joystick:

Wie SF[ian] schrieb, ist es auch möglich mit bewegten Einheiten so etwas zu machen. Im vJaBoG32 spielen wir nun seid etwa einem halben Jahr wöchentlich an einer dynamischen Kampagne mit limitierten Ressourcen, etwas Roleplay (MEDEVAC/CASEVAC, IADS, JTAC und AFAC) und nutzen dafür ein Work-Around Skript, was ich hier beschrieben habe: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=141253 Funktioniert nach anfänglichen Kinderkrankheiten jetzt gut. Allerdings nutzen wir in der Kampagne noch ein anderes Skript System, welches es ermöglicht ein umfangreiches Template spielbar zu machen. Der Ground Commander kann mittels F-10 Radio Menü bestimmte AI Gruppen an variablen Positionen erzeugen und so auf das aktuelle Geschehen reagieren, ein bisschen wie ZEUS bei ARMA (nur natürlich nicht so umfangreich und komfortabel) Für jede neue Runde, muß dann nur die Urzeit und das Wetter der Mission angepaßt werden und eventuell (wenn erwünscht) neue Ereignisse (wie z.B. AI Drohne, oder AI Hubschrauber/ Flugzeuge, mittels explodierenden Triggerzonen Gebäude zerstören etc) eingebracht werden. Mit etwas Arbeit für das Grundgerüst, ist es also möglich so eine dynamische Kampagne zu spielen. Die meiste Arbeit macht es das Briefing vorzubereiten, wenn man etwas Anspruch an realistische Einsätze hat.

Thanks for testing. Since I experience some issues in DCS 1.5 with previously working scripts, I wait until the BETA is a little more settled before I waste my time in reworking scripts (for which I do not have time anymore anyway... :helpsmilie: ).

Ah, that was meant with ride along. If then a Radio would be implemented, which ist Aries compatbile, this would be good start. The Pilot would fly, and the "sandbag" would do the FACing. ;) -

Not installed yet, since I do not have time for now, but I am looking forward to have a 2seater as FAC(A) in Multiplayer. -

Yes, my point was more in the direction, that the F-14 without AIM-54 is a "dead fish". I think an F-14 would never go into an Intercept or merge without AIM-7 or AIM-9. Concerning the capabilities of the AIM-54... the Iranian Air Force seem to get along with the AIM-54 against small nimble targets quite well. But, still USN doctrine was to use them only against bombers afaik. :book: -

AFAIK F-14 pilots were instructed and trained to use the AIM-54 only on bombers. Against fighters the AIM-7/9/guns were the weapons of choice. I guess an AIM-54 was to expensive to be used on a low budget fighter like a MiG-21. So why should it be a "dead fish in the Water"? -

Thanks for the hint. Works now. Before I edited it with "Mi-8MT", no joy, but your "8MT" did it. Also edited the vehicle the Transports can load, so the Mi-8 can only load a UAZ for taking a ride through town... ;) -

I read through all the documentation and looked through this thread here, I just couldn´t figure out how to activate or built a FOB. If there is an option to create FOB crates at "logistics" I simply don´t get this option? Maybe someone could give me a hint? Thanks. Do I have to add the Mi-8Mt to the lines of this table in order to built FOBs with Mi-8s? Wenn du seid 6 Jahren wartest (worauf eigentlich?) und 2 Jahre nicht mehr DCS genutzt hast, warum schreibst du dann im ED Forum? Ich für meinen Teil bin erstaunt, wie ED überhaupt über die Runden kommt und seid Jahren Programmierer bei der Stange hält und ein Produkt fast für lau unterstützt. Ich kenne kein anderes Entwicklerteam, welches mit derartiger Leiden-schaft Spiele programmiert. :thumbup:

CA als Standalone und im SP gibt nicht viel her und da gibt es bessere Spiele. CA als Ergänzung zu DCS World eröffnet dagegen eine ganz neue Dimension und Erfahrung für Gruppen, die dynamische Kampagnen spielen wollen, wo die UH oder Mi8 auch hauptsächlich für Logisitische Aufgaben benutzt wird und die Ka-50 und A-10C hauptsächlich für CAS eingesetzt werden und somit das Zusammenspiel mit den Bodentruppen ausschlaggebend ist. Als GroundCommander, damit Missionsleiter und JTAC dann einen Einsatz für nur 8 Spieler vernünftig zu koordinieren, ist wahrscheinlich das anspruchsvollste was DCS zur Zeit zu bieten hat, wenn man dann noch Verfahren nach realen Muster versucht umzusetzen. (Ich zumindest gerate dann irgendwann immer aus dem Konzept, wenn ich dann 4+Flieger in Schleife habe, die alle was wollen...)

That is currently possible to a degree. You can save satus, position and composition of groups in mulitplayer via scripts (see MBots campaign or my adoption of his script: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2359440&postcount=1) and you can dynamically add groups to the map via scripts (as described here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=145147). All you need in your group is someone writing briefings and playing the All-Knowing-Master, while the rest of your friends have fun. ;) Once you have your campaign template, you "only" need to do the briefings... still some hours work for each mission... But you can also write a script replacing the "Master" and that`s where you can start. But you will never write a code, which can make realistic missions with the briefing in detail out of a dynamic situation and that is the main reason, why ED avoids anything in this direction I guess.
