  1. Nice Video. Even though I somehow don´t like the F-15 particularly, this made want to start DCS and jump into an F-15. ;)
  4. I can recomment Grimes IADS script. It is currently the Best you can get out off the AI.
  5. I think SHORAD and point defense systems do need to be guided by their source/launcher. I have too little experience with CA SHORAD.
  6. Yes I understood what you mean. In DCS launcher and radar needs to be in one Group but not at the same place so if you put several SRs,TRs and launcher in one group and spread them over a wide area you might get the case that the tracking seems to be done from one area while the SAM is launched from another. That was always the case but I dont know if there is a limiting distance set for the group to work as one group. Still the tracking radar is emitting all the time and broadcasting the SAM launch, which is not realistic. That was already avoided with old SA2 and SA3 systems.
  7. It is a common technique since the Vietnam war to use the general air picture provided by EWR to launch SAMs ballistically and only switch on guidance radar in the terminal phase. That gives the target little warning and reaction time and SEAD flights little time for surpression. That is not possible in DCS. Generally are SAMS pretty teethles in DCS but you can search for Grimes IADS script, which tries to simulate IADS via switches radars on and off or their alarm state. Works to a degree, but SAMS still shoot too early.
  8. I posted a training Szenario for db procedure in this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=176064 After trying this a few dozen times Z diagrams for the CCIP delivery with the A10 are really a Joy.
  9. Thats why i made this training Mission, without Wind and with a target almost at sea level. PT50 are low drag bombs. Unfortunately does the L39 Not have training bombs as BDU 50 or 33. So it is Not strictly about the parameters, ist about sticking to them. Ps: I love the Samsung autocorrection. Makes bombs to boobs, brings peace to the world.
  10. Hi all, To attack targets defended by AAA you need to have a release altitude of your bombs of above 3000ft AGL in my experience. I tried to figure out the best approach, depression angle and parameters for such an attack profile and ended up with the following parameter for practicing with the PT-50: Approach altitude: 12000ft IAS: 270knots Dive angle: 40° Depression angle: 6,5° Release altitude: 3000ft So I keep the target aligned with my lower canopy frame and roll in when the target is between the handle and the structure (best seen in the screenshot), set throttles to idle, align the nose under the target with an angle of 40° and release at 3000ft. With this I usually get hits close to 20m (~60ft), but rarely I get below 10m (30ft). Since I found out that, after a lot of trying with the L-39C CCIP bombing with the A-10C becomes a piece of a cake, I think this is also a great way to practice general dive bomb technique. I attached the training mission, which gives you feedback about the release alt, the angle and the offset. I also attached a track and a screenshot, which pictures the moment of the rolling in for the 40LDDB. How close to you get the PT-50 with release altitudes above 3000ft? PS: I forgot, you need the Target Range Objects Mods from the 476th to see the range circle, otherwise just aim for the runway crossing. L39training.zip L39ZA 40LDDB.trk
  11. I totally agree. Still figuring out the best parameter for a 40 degree DB delivery with a release alt of 1500ft and still rarely getan closer then 40ft.
  12. Sorry if that has be clarified somewhere in this thread, but is Simple Radio a TS plugin or some kind of VOIP, which does not require TS to run? Some parts of the Ciribobs post made me think that this is a kind of VOIP, which does not require TS to be connected to a certain server.
  13. You might also want to check Mbot s Caucasus Campaign for the MiG21. It cotains a script which switches off Sams when ARMs are fired.
  16. Hi S99, Helicopter and aircraft are different categories so they are not interchangeable without modifying the script. Tasking and waypoints work differently too.
  17. Wenn du im Air to Ground Modus startest und dein Ladungsgewicht sinkt durch Treibstoffverbrauch meckert es wenn du nicht in Air to Air schaltest. Vllt liegt es daran.
  18. It s been this way since the first days of the Huey and was reported but never fixed. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=118043
  19. After the update joining the MiG21 in a mission created with the latest updated causes a CTD 5 out of 5 tests. MP and SP all the same. No joy. Logs.zip
  20. Hi Hawk, Good to read. I only had the chance to particpate once but really enjoyed it. Some members of vJaBoG32 will surely be in for the campaign. Unfortunately is my own playtime quite short but mybe I find Some time somewhere... What radiomod are you planning to use for your next sessions?
  21. Grimes, there seems to be similar bug, which is related to the initiator of the EVENT_SHOT. if event.id == world.event.S_EVENT_SHOT and Unit.getName(event.initiator) ~= nil and Unit.getPlayerName(event.initiator) ~= nil then ... Does not work for MP clients (singleplayer works fine), but if event.id == world.event.S_EVENT_SHOT then Does now work in MP clients. I guess that is related to the Unit.getPlayerName(event.initiator) bug/returns nil, too.
  23. Hi gregzagk, I would like to register for the red side. Callsign: SNAFU Prefered Aircraft: M-2000C, F-5, MiG-21 Maybe more pilots from vJaBoG32 follow, but for starters I would like to be counted as lone wolf. Thank you.
  24. We tested again and can not clearly reproduce the bug anymore, so I guess it is mission related.
