  1. I couldn´t find anything here concerning the bug, that the EVENT_SHOT is not triggered by clients in MP environment. Only singleplayer does work. Tested with current release version, bombs, rockets, missiles and guns. Bug is old, was fixed some patches ago and is now broken again as it seems.

  3. Our squadron would really support a kind of license sharing for squadron use. Did anyone contact ED confront them with the idea to provide a special lizence system for the L-39? I love the L-39 because it is just a joy to fly around, but I understand if some people just don´t and don´t want to pay to just to get some training lessons. We at vJaBoG32 would like to use the L-39 extensively for training from the basics to BFM, but at the moment the above mentioned issues are some show stopper.

  5. Didn´t test that with ground units. Only with Air units, which did move along their waypoints, but did not attack, which might have another reasons.

  7. Just tested with OB. The same as with the current release version. I let them spawn via Coalition.addGroup() and give them a task via Controller.setTask() and the group starts to form in the formation, but does not move to the waypoint. The units of the group just go in circles seem to form up, but never do. This worked in previous release version. I do not think this is related to Group AI On/Off, because a group with AI off wouldn´t move at all and just be static. This happens with all ground groups spawned via Coaltion.addGroup(). They just don´t take any orders or tasks also not via Combined Arms.
  8. Ja das meine ich ja. Ich kenne den Modus auch nicht, denke aber das es immer noch zu schwierig ist, daß man also nicht einfach das Gamepad anschließen und loslegen kann und da fehlt DCS der Zugang. Es wird nur immer vergessen, daß man DCS nicht zwangsläufig im "Simulationsmodus" spielen muß.

Ich finde es schade, daß DCS den "Game-Modus" so vernachlässigt, auf der andere Hand, bin ich auch froh, daß sie sich dann auf die Simulations-Modus konzentrieren. Aber beides wäre toll, auch wenn ich nur eine Seite nutze, fände ich es toll, wenn es die Möglichkeit gäbe DCS A-10C wie Warthunder zu spielen (als Beispiel).
  10. Ground groups spawned via script are definitely useless at the moment. Late activation does not seem to work as it should either and air groups seem to be affected the same and do not complete their waypoints, nor do they attack.
  11. @cameroon: The latest release version has a bug, which makes scripted ground AI pretty much useless. Maybe this also affects air AI units. I would not be surprised. Ground AI do not move anymore after spawning, do not attack, nor do they take any new tasks, which worked in DCS release version prior to the latest patch. Did not test this with air groups, but what you describe, it appears so. @Pikey: You could regularly get the position of a certain unit or an waypoint and set the center of the CAPzone to this coordinate.

  14. I think the WWII combat flight community grew in total, thanks to War Thunder, but splitted up. In the good old days of IL2 Hyperlobby Online-Wars there were over 1000 of players online more or less 24hrs a day. But only about 10% played IL2 in "full real" settings. Il2 focused more on Air combat simulation, less on plane and flight simulation and there is the dividing element in my opinion. If you stay with the 10% of the IL2 full real veterans I would guess 90% of them were there for the "air combat experience", the thrill of fighting with the background feeling of the books of old WWII pilots in their minds. Replaying air battles with tactics and doctrines and to some degree fiddling with plane operation. Here the focus is really on the air combat gameplay and balance was always considered to a be relevant element. This is very well covered by IL2 BoM and BoS for these 90% of the 10% Fuell real crowd of the old Hyperlobby veterans. The other 90% of the Hyperlobby crowd is very well served with War Thunder or other fast pace mouse and keyboard plane-games. At the end of the day, we cannot assume that all the +1000 players, which were online 24/7 in the IL2 days, can ever be reached with DCS. I think the number you see online at the moment at any given time (approx. 10 players average), reflects the maximum of players you will see for the DCS WWII online environment over the long term (peaks after a release of a new map or plane not considered). It is simply the truth, that most of the players are more attracted by the "air combat experience" than by the "plane operation and flight" experience DCS is focusing on. So IMO the DCS WWII community should start to organize events, like "Bomber Night" '(ok, bad example for DCS) to get the maximum ammount of players together and built up some online experience, which could get existing players together at the same time, on the same server.

  16. I have the same behavior with all ground groups greated via Coalition.addGroup(). Guess that is the latest feature introduced by ED. Hope that gets fixed faster than the getGroup() issue.

    Luftbetankung?

    Die Mirage hat auch ein Refuelling Light. Ist auf dem linken Panel in der Nähe der anderen Light-Switches zu finden. Der Korb wird allerdings erst recht spät beleuchtet, hilft also nur bedingt, aber schont die Augen.

Nach einiger Zeit der Stille möchten wir euch ein kleines Update zu den Aktivitäten des vJaBoG32 geben: Das vJaBoG32 hat sich Anfang 2016 mit der Wiederinbetriebnahme der ersten Staffel die Rückkehr in das Air to Air Business vorgenommen. Um eine fundierte Ausbildung im Bereich Air Combat Manoeuvring entwickeln zu können, haben wir hierzu die L-39 als Schulungsmuster eingeführt. Des weiteren kommt als Aggressor auch die MiG-21bis zum Einsatz. Das erste Hauptmuster soll nach dem final Release die Mirage 2000C werden, falls nicht bis dahin eine F/A-18C zur Verfügung steht. Die zweite Staffel betreibt unverändert die A-10C in der Air to Ground-Rolle. In der dritten Staffel werden mittlerweile neben dem Ka-50 als primärem Kampfhubschrauber die Mi-8 und die UH-1H als Transporter betrieben. Abhängig von der Verfügbarkeit und Qualität der SA-342 Gazelle und/oder der Bo-105 werden wir die Eignung dieser Muster für die Rolle als Aufklärungs- und Scouthubschrauber und als Ausbildungshubschrauber bewerten. Unverändert ist bei uns auch die Affinität zu realen Verfahren. Geflogen wird nach unseren Standard Operating Procedures, und das mit zusätzlichen Tools, wie z.B. der Erweiterung für TeamSpeak, UniversRadio, oder unseren selbstentwickelten An- und Abflugkarten. Feste Trainings sind immer am Montag und Donnerstag zwischen 20:00 und 22:00 Uhr. An diesen Abenden fliegen wir neben unseren Ausbildungs- und Trainingsflügen auch selbstgebaute Missionen und Kampagnen, welche teilweise dynamisch, also mit Berücksichtigung der Ergebnisse vorheriger Missionen als Ausgangslage folgender Einsätze, ablaufen und auf der Grundlage aktueller ATO`s und SPIN`s durchgeführt werden. Diese Trainings erfordern von den Teilnehmern zusätzliche Initiative, da Planung und Vorbereitung zum Missionsbeginn bereits abgeschlossen sein müßen.   19. Thanks. I use Controller.setTask() for groups created via Coalition.addGroup() to give them a new route to move along on roads. Previously they accepted thes new routes, now (current release version) they just won´t move or just turn in circles around their spawn point.
  20. It seems that latest bug, which prevents ground AI (dynamically spawned) to engage, also prevents the ground group to take new tasking. Or is it only me, who experiences that AI does not take new task via Controller.setTask() ?
  21. Aus Neugierde zur Ausgangslage for dem no joy: Wenn du weißt, daß Hawk soweit außerhalb seiner Parameter fliegt, warum gehst du dann in einen 2C fight und nicht gleich auf minimum Seperation und in den 1C? Oder war Rate-Fight das Thema?
  22. Pikey`s #5 just provided the best tool and answer to your question. The options are limited, but in the standard situation, sticking with the "Lost sight gameplan" ist the best you can do.

    They should have called it Pre-Order, not Pre-purchase, maybe that would have caused less confusion.
  25. We are using the CTLD and CSAR script on our server. We did not experience the discribed behavior so far, at least I did not note this behavior. Ciribob, it would be great if you could add an option to the CTLD to define the maximum permissible number of troops on board for every helicopter type, for example for the Huey 10, for Mi-8 20 and for the SA342M only 2 or something in this direction? So far I tried to modiy you script so it differentiated between Huey and Mi8, but the script breaks after some time and I cannot pinpoint the cause. I guess it is easier for you, to add this options. Anyhow, great work, as said. ;)
