I ordered a Powercolor R9 PCS+ 8GB and a 2*4 GB RAM Kit (so 4*4 the same type of RAM then) Gesendet von iPhone mit Tapatalk

My computer was the first complete pre built and I have no bill concerning it's parts and I can't recall everything correctly. However, inside is an M2 Silent Pro 720W PSU. The 2 RAM bars are labeld Ballistix Sport (BG112PC.KT/201331/140095). The GPU is from ASUS. Maybe I also should run a RAM diagnosis tool. The Mainboard is an Z87-A. Do you think this Computer and PSU can handle a more recent GPU and two more DIMMs (better than mixing one big in right? the single USB 3.0 Port it has is enough for the Vive, right?

I thought about a Powercolor R9 8GB for 330 Eur and squeeze it out as long as I can. This way I may even be able to wait for the first pascal price drop. Now I need to find out if my PSU can stand the R9 and the additional RAM

Your advice makes sense Farlander. I already thought about buying a 200-350 Euro Card to build a bridge to next gen cards while avoiding the current high price cards. Especially as the roadmap infos arent very promising. Looks like the cards will be there late summer AT BEST. I would wait for DCS (not enough time anyway) but I doubt I can keep my Vive in a box (preordered in first hour). At least I want to play some non-DCS titles with it

Thanks guys! I ll try upgrading then. Guess I ll also need to upgrade my PSU then. Can't recall Watts. Have to look it up tonight. But Im pretty sure it's too weak for a new GPU

I could use a tip concerning upgrading my hardware. Upgrade my old Hardware, buy a new computer or build one from the scratch what I havent done for years. I already ordered my HTV Vice and I want to play DCS on a nice level of detail as well all severall other genres (realism shooters, strategy etc... last one shouldnt be a problem) Right now I have an i7 4770K @ 3.50 GHZ and 8 GB of RAM GeForce GTX 770 (not good enough of course) Any Hints?

So if I prefer the A-10 campaign I shouldnt unlock the key and I ll be safe to choose when the A10 RF campaign is out? Id already unlock the F15 campaign but only if the F15 would be to upgraded closer to full DCS standards

Will I have to re-activate everything after upgrading to Win10? 3 activations for a campaign seem a bit too few in the long run. Beside that, I can only try to get a serial for the F15 campaign (haven pressed get serial yet). Id prefer the A10 campaign but Im not allowed to choose anywhere. Will the choosing process also get fixed? Bought Nevada in November

So far Im about to go for the vive and just hope price will hurt as less as possible. Im not an exclusive simmer and really hope for great new workout possibilties that might show up like boxing, sword fighting, being able to combine with real life gear (rowing machine, ergometer...). Oculus Rift vs HTC Vive Some analysts think the vive could cost $1500. I think this guess could even be correct. I guess at least $1000 plus X. Maybe I ll to for the second wave of sales but only if it ll be really great in usual games and DCS Plus I need to test it before as one of my eyes is way weaker than the other one. I really like the comeback of VR and I might get the vive at least for other games. I also would really like to go from TIR 3 to a VR solution but how will VR work in flight sims?
