  1. I got one of these in May. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07FF7DHH2?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title I have my stick, throttle, rudder, MFD’s and mouse going to it without a single issue so far.
  2. Order #2149 shipped!
  3. Might also look at the 2070 super. I just got it and using a Rift S im getting a solid 40fps on very busy MP servers. settings are on the higher end. also upgraded to a 3700X but I tried the 2070 super on the 2700 I had and was getting the same results.
  4. You just have to rely on your pre-mission brief and really study the terrain around your target to be able to find it at this point. lol
  5. When I was running little monitors for my MFD's I had to go in and re-do the monitor .lua file. I ket my modified version on the desktop so I could quickly copy and paste after every update.
  6. Looks like undervolting doesn’t help much at all. I was also kind of shocked to see stock voltages in the 1.45-1.5 range when I plopped my 3700x into my x470 board. Thought asrock might have gotten things wrong for the bios but apparently it’s totally normal. Even asked on another big forum I frequent ar15.com and folks were saying similar things. Gamers nexus just put out a video about undervolting and it looks like it actually hurts performance...
  7. I’m #2149. Patiently waiting for mine. It almost seems like this is the same kind of slew control that’s on the T.16000m. I recently switched to the warthog and I miss that control. Hope this is near the same.
  8. A quick, down and dirty of my upgrade. this is totally non-scientific so take this with a grain of salt of ya want. I'm coming from an X470 asrock board with a 2700 that I OC'd to 4.0Ghz. the GPU was a 2060 and it has 32Gb of 3200Mhz with XMP enabled. With my rift S I could play, but had the settings all pretty low. textures were med, AA at 16x and MSAA off. PD of 1.2, grass off and view distance was at Med. on the 107th caucaus server I would get FPS in the 20's on the ground with it sometimes dipping below that, but once in the air I usually got 40FPS unless a bunch of crap was going on with ground targets or lots of other players around a waypoint. I just slapped in my new 3700X and it booted up just fine. Jump into DCS and the 107th through the inferno server. kept all the settings the same and I was getting solid 40FPS no matter what. on the ramp at Sochi there were at least 6-7 other players taxing around and it stayed solid at 40FPS. so I decided to start turning up the settings till I found the GPU's limit. got MSAA to 4x and textures to high still keeping PD to 1.2. It got real choppy 15-25FPS on the ground and my 2060 was showing 99-100% usage. the CPU was only around 20-35% used. Put a new 2070 Super in and again, jumped right in. I was getting 40FPS on the ground again with an occasional dip to 36 then right back up to 40. got in the air and it was smooth as butter at 40FPS. with the higher textures and no more shiny, glinting things on the ground it was so much better. even got full 40fps in the Persian gulf map on a free flight. I think I would have been happy with just the 3700X and just bump the visuals a tad, but I am really digging the combo of the 3700X and 2070 super...
  9. Well I’ll know tomorrow how the 3700x does. It’ll replace my 2700 OC’d to 4.0. I’m curious how much just the CPU will help. I have a 2070 super coming Friday to replace my 2060. So I’ll get a few hours of just a CPU upgrade to see if it makes any difference. I’m using a rift S with settings fairly low/med and on the Caucasus 107th open beta server I get about 20fps on the ground then up to 40 in the air but it drops to the 20’s often. Also have 32Gb of 3200 cas16 mem.
  10. Stick gimbal video posted today. I just upgraded to a warthog setup and kinda wishing I had waited for these. The only concern I had was these being able to be used with my monster tech chair mounts. Oh well. I need to upgrade my GPU and grab a 3rd gen Ryzen CPU before I spend more $ on this sort of thing. Lol
  11. For those with light and tracking issues I just noticed a setting in the oculus software where you can tell it the frequency of lights you have in your room. try playing with that. I have a single overhead light with 2 LED 6000K blubs and haven't had any issues.
  12. The carrier audio seems to have been updated in this update. I did a quick mission in the "through the inferno" Persian Gulf SP mission and as I was returning to the boat it actually gave me its heading!

    42GB Update

That's why I put in a dedicated DCS 500gb SSD...
  14. That’s what I did. 1:1 mapping of the buttons. A little tedious going around pushing all 20 buttons for each, but it works like a peach.
  15. So ive gotten a bit of flying in with the Rift S since picking it up sunday. The motion sickness is almost all gone, just a little bit when doing hard maneuvers. I was in the 107th caucaus server and noticed something odd just now. in the cockpit I get a solid 40fps according to the in-game fps meter. but when I was tracking a gbu it jumped up to 80... It seems fine in the cocpit, no stuttering but is it possible to get it up to 80? I'm running it on a 2700 (non-x) OC'd to 3.9 and an RTX 2060 and 32gb of 3200 ram. Also, took down 3 Mig-29's on my way to the ground targets and holy crap it's so much better than a track ir!
  16. Ok, so the resolution is automatically “set” by the rift. Got it. Does changing the cockpit texture resolution do anything?
  17. I got my Rift S yesterday and only had a little time to mess around with the settings. But I was curious what I set the monitor resolution to in the drop down? None of the height options are 1440 like the oculus should be. They all top out at 1080 which is what my flat monitor is. And should I go back to “1 monitor”? I had it set up with 2 main screens and 2 smaller for the MFD’s so 4 total.
  18. Just got back from BestBuy and picked up a Rift S. Holy crap!!! This is going to be awesome! but.....they weren't kidding with the motion sickness. I started up just a quick free flight in the F-18 and did one roll. Stomach/brain did not like that at all. I really hope it goes away after some practice.
  19. Is there any chance these are compatible with any Monstertech desk or chair mounts?
  20. well, i'm drunk after flying around the 107th server I pre-ordered the F-16! damn alcohol. I really hope someone does a skin from Spangdhalem circa '93 when I lived in Bitburg and my father was a logistics/maintenance officer on the F-15's at Bitburg. In the boy scouts we got to go to Spang and play in the simulator for the F-16's at Spang.
  21. I just noticed that in the target software I downloaded a week or so ago that the F-18 stick is in there. Don't know if it's been noticed or mentioned before but its in there.
  22. I would say even just a set of instructions and parts list sold for a few bucks would be of great help to many. I’d buy a set of plans and build over time. Even a full seat at 2-2500 would prolly be much cheaper than another solution I found...https://www.acme-worldwide.com/products/dynamic-motion-seats/dynamic-motion-seat-overview/
  23. I've googled this topic and have yet to come across an acceptable/IT know nothing answer. I get that port 10308 has to be open. Ive followed the instructions I found for my router, a netgear AC1000. I added a "new service" and clicked tcp/udp and added port 10308. for the IP I entered the internal IP address as the one shown in my IP config. When I use a port forwarding testing site it shows as closed and my buddy cant see the server. can someone in an explanation for someone who knows Jack-all about IT stuff walk through step by step?
