  1. Boom. This. Exactly what I’ve been saying lol
  2. Is this something ED is working on? I would absolutely throw money at ED or a third party DCS dev to work on a dedicated EW aircraft. EW has become increasingly important in warfare, and that importance is only going to continue to increase. DOD’s recognition of this alone should make this quite clear. DCS, by its own name, intends to be as close to an air combat simulation as possible. Given this, and the centrality of EW to past, present, and future air operations, robust EW implementation should absolutely be a priority. From a gameplay standpoint alone, it adds a whole new level of depth, and new ways to play - unlike something potentially game breaking like AESA.
  3. Hmm...I only mentioned a few places in Indo-Pacific, and it seems like most folks have covered Europe and the Atlantic pretty well... Maybe I’m still wrong, but given the sheer size of the Pacific, my money is still on that theater. Or, at least, I hope so.
  4. All due respect to Heatblur, but I’ve gotta agree with some other folks - if the F-14D wasn’t an option, I think more content for the F-14B would make more sense than doing the F-14A
  5. Largely copied from my post in the ED DLC Map Wishlist section, but I felt like it could go here as well. And Deka Ironwork Simulations seems like a natural fit. So: I can’t imagine this hasn’t been asked before, and I apologize for not digging through the forums to see, but what about the Indo-Pacific Theater? I’ve seen mention of a map for Iwo Jima, potentially, but that’s it (and that would be incredibly specific/largely irrelevant imo). Giving the presence of various critical chokepoints throughout the region, as well as rising tensions between the United States and China, wouldn’t it make sense to have, say, the Strait of Taiwan, the Strait of Malacca, or something in the SCS (like the Paracels)? The J-11A (and presumably other Chinese aircraft on the way) and Chinese assets; the Harrier, F-14, F-18, and more western naval aircraft on the way; and a huge amount of resources going into carrier/naval operations - wouldn’t something along the lines of what I’ve mentioned be a no-brainer?
  6. Yeah...Persian Gulf, Afghanistan, Syria, NTTR, and even the Falklands - all very cool, but the lack of Indo-Pacific seems quite strange. As for Vietnam, I’m not really sure that makes sense at this point (just my opinion, which doesn’t matter, I know). Have you any evidence to support that? I don’t mean that in an accusatory way - just curious :) They and Redstorm (from the old Ghost Recon days) definitely seem to have a knack for it. I’ve always wanted to help write up geopolitical scenarios for game studios - working on one for the FBI in University was incredibly fun. That makes sense. I think the same can be said for a Vietnam map at this point, but obviously that’s just my opinion. As I said, given the massively increased focus on carrier/naval operations as well as Chinese aircraft/assets, I’m a bit dumbfounded that we haven’t seen someone working on an Indo-Pac map.
  7. Just buy it. I absolutely love it.
  8. Thank you for the reply, Gierasimov. Do you remember off-hand why ED said no to the Pac map? I mean, even in the announcement of the PG final release, ED seems quite aware of geopolitical realities in noting that the Persian Gulf is a "Critical source of 40% of world-traded oil, making it a historic and current flash point of endless possibilities." Such awareness should also lend itself to the understanding that numerous major geographic chokepoints throughout the world - and especially in the Indo-Pacific region - would align perfectly with DCS World :joystick::huh:
  9. Awesome! Thank you Miles!:pilotfly:
  10. Would you mind posting a screenshot of your throttle curves?
  11. These have started going out, right? Sorry, I’m still a bit confused as to when we know we’re allowed to purchase our lot number.
  12. It took me a while to get it right with the S3 - basically that was all I did in DCS until I got it the first time (as seen here). And continued practice has definitely made me better. Honestly, since the S3 is so slow, I think having your wings swept as far forward as possible without engaging auto sweep is worth the “cheat,” but maybe that’s just me. Learning with the S3 made the KC-135 and KC-130 so much easier xD
  13. I can’t imagine this hasn’t been asked before, and I apologize for not digging through the forums to see, but what about the Indo-Pacific Theater? I’ve seen mention of a map for Iwo Jima, potentially, but that’s it. Giving the presence of various critical chokepoints throughout the region, as well as rising tensions between the United States and China, wouldn’t it make sense to have, say, the Strait of Taiwan, the Strait of Malacca, or something contentious in the SCS (like the Paracels)? Chinese aircraft (J-11) and Chinese assets; the Harrier, F-14, F-18, and more western naval aircraft on the way; and a huge amount of resources going into the new carrier - wouldn’t something along the lines of what I’ve mentioned be a no-brainer?
  14. Such a bummer...I just want to be able to record my flights for cinematic purposes lol...
  15. How are you getting your F-14 tracks to play back properly? Mine always seem to glitch
  16. I’ve been wanting to do a satirical advert with my Adventure Time watch for ages now. And it’s a lighthearted way to make fun of myself, and those obnoxious watch adverts (Breitling in particular comes to mind, but really any of them work - Chopard, Tag Heuer, Rolex, Omega, etc.). I hope you enjoy
  17. Thank you, Deano! Went through and fixed them all lol. You weren't kidding though - definitely a lot easier with the KC-135MPRS than the S-3; it felt like a breeze in comparison.
  18. You mean in regard to disengaging Pitch SAS, or how you’re going about doing it? The manual says to disable Roll SAS before ACM. Under the AFCS section of the manual: “Roll SAS should not be used for situations involving flight at AOA above 15 units and should therefore be set to off for combat maneuvers.”
  19. Thanks to everyone for the feedback/help/support/encouragement! Feels better than the first time I had sex xD Also me:
  20. These look sweet; how do I go about signing up to purchase them?
  21. So in the second video, at the 0:42, 3:00, 3:10, 3:16, 3:36, 3:44, 3:48, 4:00, 5:27, 6:20, etc. marks, where else was I supposed to be?
  22. Please feel free to scrub through - I don't expect or want anyone to actually have to watch the whole thing lol - but I can't seem to get the "Cleared Contact" radio call regardless of what I do - any thoughts?
  23. Ah, thank you! I haven’t heard that sound bite in the aerial refueling tutorials I’ve watched, so that would explain it. Would not being close enough when declaring pre-contact also help explain why the tankers often don’t present me with the drogue? If I remember correctly, on the Georgia instant action aerial refueling practice mission, the KC-135 retracts the drogue as soon as my AI wingman has received fuel...leaving me sad and flying on fumes lol
  24. What should it be saying instead of pre-contact? Thank you both, btw :)
