  1. There hasn't been official mention of the ATFLIR pod for ages... "maybe" in Q4 2021 at this point... they keep moving the goal line, not surprising December didn't really bring much to the Hornet, par for the course unfortunately.
  2. Releasing a list of what is missing in the the EA release could help this (ie External lights are incomplete, damage model is incomplete etc) like Deka did with the JF-17. They made it pretty clear prior to release what wasn't complete prior to the release. Just a thought.
  3. Heavies like Transport aircraft or a B-1 would be cool, but ONLY if it doesn't further delay modules that are already in EA and need to be finished first.
  4. +1
  5. This doesn't really answer the question of WHY there isn't a concrete standard across the board. Why doesn't ED have a set standard for first and third party modules before they can be released for Early Access and why isn't this readily available for customers to view so they can make a more informed purchase decision?
  6. ED could simply make a majority of their issues go away if they did one simple thing. Establish an CONCRETE STANDARD OF WHAT "EARLY ACCESS" IS. What features dictate an Early Access module from a finished module. Early Access must have * to be considered ready for early access release. Once that standard is established, stick to it, be open to their customer base about it. Why has not be done yet? especially in the wake of the Viper release with an unfinished external model. As an example the Hornet was released in a much better off state than the Viper but both were considered ready for Early Access, this makes no sense. What standard did their QA department use before they cleared the Heatblur Tomcat or the pending Deka JF-17? There needs to be a standard, this would go a LONG way into setting realistic expectations for the customer and ED.
  7. And I have every right to have mine, man.
  8. So are you talking about the redundant "ED is so great" posts too are just the ones that provide any kind of critique? Has ED even considered once that the current practice of how EA is handled isn't exactly working? I think instead of always pointing the finger at your paying customers, it may be time to do some self reflection while the lights are still on at the ED office. Just a thought.
  9. You think there are delays now, just wait until the Carrier Module arrives...AI deck crew causing all sort of issues by walking into player and AI controlled aircraft.. catapult steam causing CTD... arrestor cables only working with the Hornet ...oh the possibilities. The Viper Pre-PRE ALPHA too Early Access module will be the least of Hornet owners problems of actually getting any solid Hornet updates :D
  10. But its an ANTENNA, this will be setting the new benchmark, you just don't realize it :megalol:
  11. Well, seeing how ED has once again proven they can't even hit their own deadlines, absolutely NO to a subscription model, NO to increasing module prices, NO to any kind of way of giving them extra money until they can figure out how to actually deliver advertised products in a reasonable amount of time. If the vocal minority saying "yes" to a subscription has money they want to give away, I'm sure there is local charity in your town that will actually make good use of it.
  12. Then you could've let the OP be and kept scrolling, simply really, you know like an adult, but yet you decided to try to throw around some supposed forum "clout" :dunno: lemme go see if I can find someone who cares about said clout...
  13. So basically you just got all in your feelings and got offended someone questioned your sacred cow, please tell me more.... The OP mentioned he's had DCS for a couple months, whether that is true or not, who knows, I try not to presume motive just because I disagree with someones view. A/G radar is an advertised feature of the Viper and Hornet, heaven forbid someone just drop $80 on a module and have the nerve to inquire of the status of said feature... the gall of some people ;)
  14. You know when people say "no one loves a kiss ass..." they don't lie  Its hilarious how many folks get triggered when someone asks a relevant question on these forums about promised features.... "How dare you not blindly worship at the altar of ED and pledge that all is perfect"
  15. So by that logic, we could not have A/G radar by 2030.... Is this the same "prof of concept" for several other pending matters like usable night lighting, dynamic campaign, fully functioning clouds that don't have MP issues????
  16. That's a question for ED leadership isnt it???
  17. Absolutely not. ED needs to learn how to budget and prioritize better, not find new ways to fleece its customers.
  18. Hornet. Or Tomcat....Or Harrier...Or M2K. The Viper is in a pretty bare bone state by any non-biased eye, there a bunch of "confirmation bias" folks telling you to buy the Viper while its frankly not worth getting at full price until its had some serious work done to it, maybe after the 20 November updates, maybe.
  19. Exactly this. This would've kept most Hornet customers happy. I certainly will not be participating in any more EA moving forward.
  20. Speak for yourself.
  21. Not as long as yall continue to delete comments that yall get offended by. Thats not how "constructive criticism" works.
